Mamita's Beach Club

Best Beach we found during seaweed season! Everywhere else had very thick seaweed, but this place kept it cleaned up as much as they could. Abraham was our waiter and he was great! Good food and lots of sun!

We come almost every year to Playa and spend the day at Mamitas. We wanna thank Luis, Juan, Eric and Alvaro for the Top Service! Food in good quality and drinks are really good. We paid 1300 for the chair (if you pay cash its 100 pesos discount) and consumation is 1000. You pay what is above 1000 + Propina pf course. I recommend to book a chair more behind, due to the Local people that spent a beach day, privat in front. Can get crowdy. But there is always Party for sure!

My mom and I were over heating from walking too far after turning the wrong way on the way to Martinas beach club...ugghh They were Very Nice, especially Jorge , we had a gallon of limonada and split the sirloin burger every thing on it ( eccept the bacon and ham )with fries, it was plenty for each of us , Delicious !

Nice beach club, very good service. We paid a $2100 peso fee for 2 ppl, then got $1700 peso food credit! Nice pool, but loud music, nice place on beach.

We recently visited Mamitas Beach Club in Playa Del Carmen and had an enjoyable experience overall. First, we paid a 2100-peso cover charge for 2 people, which came with two lounge chairs and an umbrella, and the use of their pool. The entrance fee included a 1700-peso credit for food and drinks. Additionally, there was a 120-peso charge for two towels.. The facility itself is very nice—clean, modern, and well-maintained. Since we visited during the low season, the beach club wasn’t crowded, allowing us to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of our visit was the excellent service provided by Jorge, our waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and always made sure to check in on us, which added to the overall positive vibe of the day. The beach club also features a DJ who plays good dance music, adding an upbeat energy that perfectly complements the beachside setting. All in all, Mamitas Beach Club is a great spot for a fun and relaxing day. While the cover charge might seem a bit high at first, the food and drink credit balances it out, especially if you plan to enjoy the amenities fully.

I came down to the beach to sunbathe, but there was no sun and decided to have lunch at Mamita’s Beach club. It is overlooking the beach and has a light airy beach atmosphere. The service was great and the servers were very friendly. I had a cold refreshing lemonade. That was very good and fried fish and vegetables. While the meal was very good it not special in anyway. I would come again, not for the food, but for the fabulous environment, where I can hear the ocean and smell the sea-breeze.

I have been going to Mamita’s beach since it opened and it is the best beach I have been to. All the servers treat me and my wife so well and make us feel very important. The management is very present and run the beach very well. Even the gentleman who looks after the chairs is such a hard worker and we appreciate everyone who works at Mamitas. We love to go to Mamitas when we are in Mexico. The food, service, and beach is unmatched!! We wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

I thought their service was considerably faster than many other beach clubs. The food and drinks were just ok but I found the prices reasonable and their strip of beach is gorgeous. Really enjoyed relaxing in their lounges. Before going, I found it a bit hard to find the most up to date pricing and consumption credits - their Instagram highlights turned out to be the easiest way to get info.

Mamitas has some of the best service for a beach club in Playa!!! The employees here are super nice and friendly. They are very attentive here but not overbearing. You can either choose to lay on the beach or pay a little extra to lay in their pool area, which is 18+. You pay a certain amount and then part of that amount goes towards your food and drinks..you pay the difference at the end if you spend more. My go-to drinks are the fresa coldas and maracuya mojitos!!! Love these two drinks..so good!!! Their fried shrimp tacos are also very good. I think they have some of the best shrimp tacos in Playa. Come to Mamitas if you want a chill day with wonderful service!!!

While the food was good the service was less than stellar. I ordered a drink and never received it. The bar closed before I could get it. And when it was time to pay at least 18 people were hovering over us, yes we're black.

Saturday 1pm First day on the beach and wanted to take it easy . Took the recommendation of the hotel on the best beach and club . Having been to so mah countries , beaches , etc , it was just ok to me. The location is perfect , close enough to our hotel . It's very busy and despite being at a beach club , one doesn't feel the exclusivity of one . Not much of a choice as compared to the others , this is still the better option either way the live dj , vibe,pool and service . I can say that as I went next door two days later . You pay ie $1400 for 2 chairs and an umbrella, consumable is about 80% of $1400 which isn't bad . The food servings is ok, the wings was way too expensive ( 6 small pieces for 300 mxn ( which is about $18), the burger was a decent size and so was the nachos . Beer was about $6 ($90 mxn). Overall experience was good . It's too expensive for Mexico but it's caught up with the rest of the world . Nonetheless for the service , proximity to the beach , etc paying $70 (usd) for 3-4 hire on the beach is reasonable . 4 stars if compared to other beach clubs .

Staying in Riveria Maya but so glad we jumped on a van and headed here. The food is excellent and far superior to our resort offerings. The atmosphere is lively, fun and exciting- I remembered what I love about Mexico coming here. Great drinks! Get your wristband at the entrance and get 15% off at the bar and lunch.

Great spot to hang out at the beach seaweed free! When you purchase your loungers for the day, part of that goes towards your food and beverage credit!

We went to Mexico for my daughter's wedding and stayed an all inclusive resort where the wedding was to take place. But our nephews were staying at playa del Carmen for something different. So we spent the day with them and had lunch at the beach club. The view was fantastic and the food was great. I had the shrimp ceviche and the salmon. The ceviche was amazing. The salmon was good. What amazed me the most were the tomatoes. I never had tomatoes in the US like these - a whole other level of yummy. The service was good and of course in Mexico almost everything is gluten free. The beach itself was very nice although we did not hang out there. There are lots of great places in Playa, but how can you resist mamitas.

We stopped in at Mamita's because it was part of a shopping tour given to us at the resort we were staying at. The Beach Club was nice but unfortunately because of the time of year, the beach was blanketed by seaweed, to the point you could only get in to about your knees before you were consumed by it. We enjoyed their families because it was part of the shopping tour package otherwise we probably would not have gone. The amenities were available but you either had to buy a package or purchase separately. The facilities were very nice, children pool/adult pool, bar etc.

4 stars because the beach was beautiful views. A little on the pricier side though. Just be careful because I'm pretty sure they were trying to over charge us for drinks and we had to let them know what we already paid for so that was the only downside.

Relaxing beach clubs ... plays house music all day, no one bothers you, clean beach and servers are quick I paid around $25 for my chair and umbrella for the full day and received the full amount in credits. Prices seem to vary by day. For $25 I had a fun lounge chair right at the beach edge. What I really like about this beach is that you sit up high at the edge of the club property so when the hundreds of people pass by on the beach they don't kick up sand on you and no one can sit in don't of you because of how close you are to the water. The view is pristine.. clear blue skies, very few people in the water. I paid 60 pesos/$3 for a towel and 250 pesos (cash only) for the towel deposit, it had to be returned by 6. The value of what you get is good, the servers are very attentive and constantly check on you and bring out drinks. The drinks are good- not standard cheap mixed drinks. Had the best day chillin at the beach; cold drinks, clean warm water, and a real chill crowd. Bathrooms are huge and pretty clean. Gratuity is added to your bill!

If you want a place to lounge and people watch it's not a bad place. Only thing that is distracting is anyone can and will use the brace area, all you are paying for is a lounge chair on the beach. It's kind of pricey, but it is what it is. I would go back but if I never did I wouldn't feel like I missed out. If you are budget conscious at all I would skip and just show up with a towel and a cooler full of beer and enjoy the music and vibes as is.

Just count your drinks in real time. They overcharged us by 4 drinks but I couldn't prove it so did not argue.

I've visited Mamita's beach club 3 times and each time it gets better and better!! If you're in playa del Carmen dont plan anything else for the day except dinner (if you make it there). Mamita's is a FULL DAY EXPERIENCE. If you're staying in the area, I recommenced walking to Mamita's. It was about a 15/20 min walk from our hotel, but it gave us the opportunity to walk through the streets and interact with the locals, shop around and purchase tequila. The best part about Mamita's is the food & drink credit. If you purchase a day bed / cabana, you get the bulk of the money back in food & drink credit. As mentioned before I've been 3 times and each time The food and drink credit was WAAAAAAY more than enough for a full day of eating and drinking (even for large groups). Day beds & Cabanas are located either on the beach or at the pool! Both locations are great, but I think my preference is the pool. It's closer to the dj, but the music can be heard from the beach. If you're looking for a fun day party beach / pool vibe, this is the place!

Wish I could give no stars on this but one will have to do. SO THIS PLACE HAS THIEVES!! Yes and I am referring to workers. I hate to say and leave a review like this but I will not lie about an experience. On the beach a group of us were approached by an employee of the Spa who works at Mamita's beach club. We agreed to an hour massage for all 3 of us. Massage was mediocre given that It was supposed to be a deep tissue 1 hour massage for $80 each. Price was good, massage was not what we expected. After finishing the massage we realized missing from our bag and wallet was a total of $200 pair of sunglasses. A vape stick was missing too sadly. We brought It up to the staff that served us and of course they all played dumb and acted like they were looking for It. Very sad because they seemed like decent people but we were positive the items were with us prior to the massages. So 100% these items were stolen by staff during the massage. Very pathetic because we paid and tipped well. WILL NEVER FREQUENT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. No real management to assist us either. We were stolen from and they didn't care. BEWARE OF THE THIEVES HERE!

Went today with our family of 4. Paid about $190 for 4 chairs/2 umbrellas and 2 kid access to the pool. They gave us about 135 in credit for food/drinks. Great deal - great day. Jorge was a great server- Gracias!

I was only here because of this was the pick up and drop off spot of the shopping tour I took. Service was less than helpful. Drink was just ok and so was the food. I was pretty disappointed. The only thing I enjoyed was the free WIFI and the great view of the beach.

Spent the day here with friends. The staff was very nice, service good. The food and drinks were a lot pricey but to be expected right on the beach. There is some excellent people watching if you get tired of the ocean.

We actually went to this 2 times while we were staying in Playa since it was right on the beach and had some of the best seats. Yes you do have to pay a fee to sit there, but more than half of it is given back to you in credits to use for food/drinks. Ambiance/Service: The service here for us was really good and the staff was super friendly and quick to help at all times. The place is nice. We were here during slow season, so the pool area was completely empty, and we just enjoyed our time on the beach the entire time. The beach has a ton of seats and their pool club next door plays music which you can hear, which is great. Food/Drinks: We did not have any food here, only drinks the entire time, which were pretty good. Beers are obviously what you pay for, which is nice so we mostly ordered beers, but we did occasionally get a mixed drink, which were a little on the lesser side of alcohol and are quite expensive ($10 each), so again, we stuck mostly to beers. All in all our experience here was pretty good and would recommend this place if you are around the area looking for comfortable lounge chairs to sit at and have your whole day of relaxing here.

This is the closest beach to us that's walking distance from the hotel. We came here yesterday, and the staff informed us that their loungers with the umbrella costed a $1000 pesos -- it was also only available from 10 am -- 6 pm. We also weren't allowed to have outside food as it's competing with the vendors here. We decided that it wasn't worth the expense as we were there at like 3:30, and we didn't have much time to enjoy the lounger compared to someone who was there first thing in the morning. We also brought food for a picnic after reading reviews about how people were able to bring food here. We also couldn't pay the staff, and we would have to pay with the front desk reception. There wasn't clear signage as to where front desk reception is. He tried to speak to us in English and we tried to in Spanish. We came back today, but decided we weren't going to stay long as there was a ton of people and the sun was beating down on us. We decided to only dip our toes into the water. We will likely be back tomorrow in the morning.

With time to kill between lunch and our private tequila tasting, we wandered down the beach in the northern direction, eventually ending up at Mamita's for a drink. Thinking this might be a tourist trap I wasn't expecting much, but we had a great experience with our drinks, and beer bucket. My husband was still hungry so he tried the Grilled Garlic Shrimp (becoming the dish he ordered at almost every stop lol) and said this was the best one of the trip. Servers were more than accommodating and left a great impression. We chose to hang out in the restaurant/deck area, so I'm not sure how renting umbrellas and chairs work, but service for those customers seemed great as well!

By far one of the best beach clubs I've been to in al of my travels... The atmosphere is amazing. No beach vendors hassling you every 5 mins... turquoise beaches, and wonderful and friendly staff. I've attached their price sheet for all their beaching options-chaise lounge chairs, cabanas and beds. They all Include timed Wi-Fi access and a bar credit.. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks

Standard beach club They have a minimum of 400 pesos per chair and then about 270 of that to spend on drinks and food. The remaining pesos will get you a cocktail and a beer at most. Really not a good value on food and drink combo. But still a nice located beach club with good service and there's already mango and churros being sold around the beach

Great service , the pool is nice to go into after going in the beach. They have feet rinsers/ showers , jet ski, parasailing, and paddle boarding. You definitely get your moneys worth

Wow! I could spend every day of my vacation at Mamitas beach club. We stayed nearby at an all inclusive resort that has a deal with this beach club. It ended up only costing us about $2.50 US Dollars to get in and that includes two lounge chairs and a nice beach umbrella. The food and drink are on the pricey side compared to neighboring restaurants, however the view is the best! The food was delicious as well and our server, Raúl gave us excellent personalized service. We will return to mamitas every time because of the great service.

I had an absolute blast at Mamitas the two times I was in Playa Del Carmen. It is located right on the beach with exceptional views all around. The grounds are very clean and well-maintained, and the place as a whole is nice and modern. I have enjoyed the food there as well as the bar. Definitely recommend this spot.

So apparently, in PDC paid beach clubs are a thing. Mamita's wasn't that far from me so I gave them a go. In short, nice. I mean, you got a beach, food, cocktails, how can you lose? For I do believe $25 USD, you can get a chair, umbrella and that $25 is used for your food drink, etc. The $25 doesn't really go far because drinks are not cheap. But they are tasty. You also have the option of eating at their restaurant or lounging poolside for an extra price ($50 USD I think?) Is Mamita's anything special? Not really, but if you want to just relax, decompress and listen to good House Music, give it a go

Mamita's Beach is a great place to spend the day. You can rent beach chairs, umbrellas and be served drinks and food directly on the beach. There is loud music but it is good music and the vibes are right. This place is JAMMED PACKED but everyone is there to have a good time. I would definitely return on my next trip to Playa

Im giving this place a GENEROUS 2 star review for 2 reasons. My orange juice was super fresh and the beach layout was good. Now for my food. I had a frijolero fish. 3 egg "tacos" covered in refried beans and a couple tiny sausages on top. Before I ordered anything I told the server please recommend me anything that dosent have onions. and when the dish comes out everything has it. He told me that the ingredients they prepare already has onion blended into them. So needles to say I sent it back and paid for what I drank.

Came here for drinks by the beach and was not disappointed. The drinks were good, strong, and affordable, service was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean. A great choice for a relaxing afternoon!

This is truly a beach club, the open air venue has a sophisticated resort feel to it. I came here for drinks during the annual jazz festival. It's a great place to view any of the beachside concerts during the year & sipe your favorite drink they have a full drink menu to enjoy inside the beach club or beach side on a lounger. This venue transforms into a Miami like pool party during the day with DJ hosted events, Cabana rentals, pool or beach lounge rentals & VIP services. They have a more private area for large dining, a perfect place to host a wedding. I highly recommend this beach club experience to fill the void for the trendy partier inside all of us.

An excellent beach club that really can't be beat for the price. They give you a minimum amount to meet based off your party size does food and drinks and boom, your in. The cabanas are nice but I wish they offered more shade options, especially when the food came out so it wouldn't spoil in the sun. Also there were a ton of bees! Pest control before someone gets stung. Awesome view and super easy access to the beach. Definitely worth returning. The only drab things was the music. All techno, no fun, no request, no adaptability to the audience that the DJ never looks at because he is facing the opposite way on his own world.

This place is loud and obnoxious. We are staying at the hotel next door that has a beautiful, serene, spa-like vibe. Unfortunately that is totally ruined because of the noise pollution coming from this awful place. Zero respect for their business neighbors and zero class. Trashy, Jersey Shore vibe. Ugh. I wish I could give NEGATIVE stars.

So much fun! For as little as 400 pesos you can feel like queen! Lounge chairs, umbrellas, wait staff and a gorgeous beach with a live DJ who really knows good music. The food was delicious. The churro vendor walking by with delicious fried deliciousness and the ladies selling cheap beaded jewelry just topped off my day. So relaxing!! A must!!

I did not stay at the hotel but the beach is awesome. My girl and I walked up to the beach area and found two layout beach chairs under a palapa. A few hours later a staff member showed up checking wristbands. I rented two chairs and a palapa for 9 USD. Pretty cheap considering we were there all day. It's tagged so that no one snags it from you while you get in the water. They also offer menu service. Appetizers, meals and drinks. Service is pretty quick too. Not too expensive. If you need to take a break of all the touring, check this place. Very relaxing.

Loved the massage with Lulu at the spa! Have some margaritas on the beach with great service, have some good food in the restaurant, and then go to the spa where they have outstanding service and spoil you. The massage with Lulu was the best one I've had in many years. Only bad thing at the beach is it's packed with people and a non-affiliated band walks around the beach for like an hour annoyingly.

Great place for a chill beach day. We rented a covered beach side bed and it was great. The food is good and the location is great. You have access to the beach and the amenities of the beach side club with a beach rental. With your beach rental you get a food/drink allowance and it's well worth the money. The food and drinks are reasonably priced so you will get full and a buzz with your beach rental. I had the shrimp ceviche and guacamole and it was good. The quesadillas had more cheese than meat but were ok and fries, burger, and wings were good. I think it's well worth the money.

Overpriced for no real reason other than its on the beach. Food was ok but not so impressed. Didn't rent out any chairs or umbrella.

Stunning setup. Reminds me of a Nikki Beach. The only thing is the service was slow and the drinks were just ok. But as you can see from the photos, I can't complain too much. It was still a great day and i will definitely be back.

Not exactly a beach club, but this resort bar is right next to the beach. It definitely offers a fun vantage point only obstructed by the lifeguard station in front. I definitely enjoyed the ocean breeze that fueled my appetite for cocktails, and ordered the fried calamari and octopus a la plancha. Both were great options, but the octopus is quite worth a double-take. Granted, the place runs a bit expensive, which is to be expected at its prime location, and service is somewhat hectic and confusing despite the multiple servers and busboys, perhaps because they cater to the chaise lounges as well. But it did not take away that much from the experience and I would gladly visit again.

I was looking forward to my visit but it was so disappointing. The food was ok, drinks were not strong. Beer was cold and all and all high priced for what you got. But the thing that kept us from going back is we paid for our meal, was told tax included in Mexico, but the waiter ran after us and demanded a 10% tip.... knowing I could have reported this behavior, I just paid the extra 5$ and said I will never go back. They lost a lot of business that week because the waiter wanted the extra 5$... don't go here so many better places.

amazing, if you like a 9-1 lady to man ratio, this is the place for you, buy a bottle and stay all day it's cheaper and trust me, the delivery will be amazing

This would be a great place to spend the day but the service is very poor. They offered us accommodations in line but then switched what the offer was once we got to the front. Repeatedly told us they had availability but then had to substitute to a lesser option when they walked away to "confirm availability." Sadly this was our experience two days in a row. I spoke with management who only continued the same trend.

Only rented lounge chairs here which included washroom access. Pretty affordable and have in and out privileges. It gets pretty busy later in the day and might be hard to find a seat. The club music might be a bother if you just want a quiet place to relax

The resorts take up most of the sandy beach space and between this and the water is technically public use space. Most locals (and yours truly) threw blankets down and did our thing. It's pretty crowded as it's in the middle of town. But, it made for good people watching and a place to chill mid-bike ride from one end of the strip to the other. Not really my jam though.

We spent 800 pesos for the 2 of us for 2 chairs on the beach and were given 500 pesos in credit toward food and drinks. The prices for everything were pretty high. Overall, pretty good experience and had a lot of fun but next time I think we will go to Kool next door (they give whatever you spend on chairs/bed in credit toward food and drinks).

Great place to rent chairs and order food and drinks. The food was surprisingly really good though I was expecting bad food. Get the nachos add chicken. It's fully loaded and dressed well. They don't skimp on ingredients. The ceviche was also good. The fish and chips were decent too. The fish looked like fish sticks. You can rent two chairs for 800 pesos and 500 can be applied toward food/drink. They have music playing that's a nice beach DJ vibe. The staff are friendly. We came twice.

Good place to sit at the beach. Cocktails arent very good, stick with beer or a michelada. Fish tacos also bland. Nice setting right on the beach to people watch

We had a great time! Customer service was excellent! Execellent! And the prices were not bad. Our server Juan Perez was fast, very attentive,friendly and gave us great tips about the area. I recomment this place to anyone visiting Playa. Juan you were the best!!
