Google
A must visit. Fantastic meal. We read the good reviews this place had and we have to say they're right! Our starter was the best calamari I'd ever had, and that's always my go to starter. The pasta we had for our mains were excellent. The prawns literally popped in my mouth with flavour and the pasta was delicious. To finish we had the cheesecake which again was incredible. We are here for three nights and it's going to be hard to go elsewhere for the next two nights. The staff were lovely too and kept our drinks coming. Definitely recommend it. We went back two days later and it was just as good! My mixed grilled fish main was incredible.

Google
The food was fresh and tasty and they had plenty of options available. We tried lasagna, porchetta decostruitta and 2 salads. Compared with other restaurants in the area, the menu is more interesting. The service was ok, but not great. The prices were good (food & water for 4 people - 61 €). The main downside is that the terrace is on a quite noisy and crowded street.

Google
We visited on the last night of our Rome trip and we wish we'd found this place earlier! The food was AMAZING! The caprese salad used real buffalo mozarella which was salty, creamy and amazing, and the panna cotta was the best I've had. But the highlight was the fresh pasta - especially the cacio e pepe with prawns and lime!!! My new favourite pasta dish. My only disappointment is that we can't go back for lunch tomorrow (Sunday) as they open at 6pm - otherwise we would have been back there in a heartbeat! So good 👌Thank you Mamma Angela!

Google
Really good place to eat with great service. I dined alone at this place and the waitress was super friendly. She took the time to give me recommendations on the dishes and I loved the food. Price is reasonable and everything I ate was delicious.

Google
Amazingly tasty food!!! Had three courses with an aperitif and wine and the bill was very reasonable! What a great find close to Termini station and the ambiance was just right. I definitely recommend you eat at this restuarant, you won't be disappointed!

Google

Visited this place twice. First time ordered salad (which was OK), carbonara (home-made and al dente, but strongly oversalted) and house white wine which was as a rocket fuel and just impossible to drink. Second time we ordered red house wine (which was OK), beef strips (also not bad), beef steak (we asked for medium rare but it was medium well at best) - partially ok, partially impossible to chewing, seafood as a starter (very very small, shrimps had a cord, squids were fine) and on side caponata and salad (ok, but I've had much better in Italy). First time we paid 30 euro, the second- 56. Overall- not bad, but far from great, something about 3++ experience.

Google
13€ house wine. Very good lasagna. Everybody at my table tried and enjoyed. I heard very happy compounds on the Carbonera at my table as well. Convenient to Termini train station and The Yellow. Seating in the street with kind service.

Yelp
First restaurant we went to after landing in Rome. Great food, nice ambiance and just walking distance from our hotel.

Yelp
€18.00 nice local Merlot to pair with Casio e Pepe and Ribeye with side of chicory.....Ooops. ....grilled veggies? Sadly got my order wrong, but volunteered to make it right. I never take anyone who is handling my food seriously when they volunteer to make it right, so one star down in an otherwise 5 Star review. Service was fantastic. Steak was sizzling. Pasta was al dente!

Kelly C.

Yelp
3.5 stars but rounding down because we hit a bit of bad luck with the noodles! We were in the neighborhood because we missed out train to Tivoli (haha!) and found this restaurant on TripAdvisor! We arrived just a little after they opened their doors for the day so it wasn't too busy. I will say it started filling up by the time we left, but I don't think you need to rush to beat the lunch bunch rush on a weekday! I ordered the Lasagna and my sister ordered the Amatriciana (a traditional Italian dish with tomato sauce and pork cheek). The food didn't take long to prepare and we enjoyed the nice and quiet restaurant. They also have wifi so you can browse the Internet while you wait! I loved the flavor of my lasagna. It was rich and the acidity from the tomato sauce cut the dish really nice. The portion wasn't too big so I wasn't too full after finishing the entire meal. The Amatriciana, however, didn't really do it for me: the acidity from the sauce was nice but there wasn't much flavor and it wasn't spicy at all, even though the server warned us about it and they noted it on the menu! The only thing I wasn't used to was the softness of the noodles. They definitely weren't al dente and I am not sure if it is because of the lack of egg, but it just seemed to disappear in your mouth. It made the meal seem lighter and I was definitely hungry after walking to the Borghese Gardens, which was about 1.8km or 1mile away. ******(After reading the other reviews, it seems like our noodles were overcooked, which is a total bummer! We originally thought it was because their noodles are only made from water and flour but I guess that is not the case) I would say the food was around 3 stars, but the service was really stellar. Our server was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home, and gave us the dangerous tip of the winter sales in Rome which we rushed to later in the day! Overall, not sure if the noodles were supposed to taste like that, but I enjoyed the experience and I definitely would give them an A+ in service!

Yelp
Walked a very long way to get here and to my surprised it's now a cooking class! Very disappointed wanted to eat here for my birthday

Yelp
Yes Yes and Yes! This place is a must try!! Not gonna lie- we went here before it shares a name with me haha! But it did not disappoint one bit! Arrived around 8:30 and there was a small que but quickly seated because we wanted to sit outside. It took a little for service to come because they were busy and he kept telling us one moment but the food made up for the wait to order. We got: Spritz Coke With ICE ( lol my moms been dying without ice) Tortino Croccante Di Carcioffii (artichoke inception) Amatriciana (traditional pasta with pork cheek) La Di Mare (seafood pasta) Spritz wasn't too strong Artichoke app was super good! Very different and flavorful - I just wish it was hotter in temp Amatriciana was very HOT and good! The noodles were perfect Seafood pasta had great flavor and very nice ratio of seafood to pasta Servers speak great English and very nice Overall it was one of the best meals we had during ot time in Rome! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
My 1st trip to Rome and I was seeking a nice restaurant to dine in. Mamma Angela's popped up as the best with really great reviews; and since it was walking distance from my hotel, I decided to give it a shot. I was a solo traveler and didn't mind sitting outside. I ordered the Prosecco and the lasagna. After 2 bites in, there was a down pour. Everyone scattered inside but there were no tables for people to sit on. Apparently all the empty tables were reserved. I finished my dinner and wanted another glass of Prosecco and dessert but Ofcourse it's raining so no one wanted to service the person still sitting outside. I wasn't even offered to come into the restaurant, no one even checked on me either. I literally had to fan down a server and ask if they forgot about me. I requested to be moved inside but he refused me. I asked for a supervisor. They never came, instead he came back saying they had a table for me. After observing the meals inside I noticed, the guests had bread- which I assumed I would get with my meal as well but no. 1 table even got a refill on their bread basket. They were actually getting service. I met an older couple who ate there every night since they got to Rome. This night 10/21/2018 they waited outside in the rain for a table & even a young couple who wanted to eat inside was told they can't wait inside and to leave. All this because they didn't want to give up the empty " reserved" tables. There was a HUGE down pour. No one was coming for those tables. In summary- poor customer service, the lasagna was flavorful so kudos to the chef but bad management and awful wait staff. I never got to Order more wine or dessert. I can't help but wonder if it's because I look a certain way why they treated me like that. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all.

Yelp
I would give this a 4.5 star rating! Great relaxed upscale restaurant for a nice meal in Rome. The Food: ++++ -Porchetta Decostruita: this pork shoulder dish was super tender and packed with flavor, would recommend this dish -Filetto di Spigola: pistachio crusted sea bass fillet that seemed like it would be amazing, but honestly didn't have enough flavor and needed a lot of lemon to boost it up (in my opinion), but cooked very nicely -La Frittura: fried squid and prawns; classic dish that was delicious and highly recommended! The Service: ++++ This was probably one of the fastest meals that we had in Rome. They came out with the food so quickly! The waiters service was good, but not much personality or interaction with the customers (some people may prefer this though). The Space: +++++ This is a great looking restaurant that is lined with rows of shelves of wines that make it look fancy. However, it also has a relaxed feel to it. Made the dining experience feel comfortable Price: €€ Paid 44 euros for the 3 dishes mentioned above with a Prosecco mix. Worth it? Yes, good food with a great atmosphere and dinner that was really filling!

Yelp
BEST LASAGNE VERDI. We found this hidden gem with high ratings. We ordered the lasagne verdi, charcuterie board, and a simple tomato pasta. The lasagne verdi was heavenly! Sometimes, I feel like I can go vegetarian when I'm presented with dishes like this. The charcuterie board and tomato pasta were solid as well. I'd definitely come here just for the lasagne verdi again! Service was nice too.

Yelp
Awesome staff, very friendly, very courteous. They speak English, Spanish and Italian. My wife had the Gnocchi and she loved it. I had the Carbonara, very delicious and well proportioned. I would absolutely recommend this place to all my friends.

Miam C.

Yelp
This is NO LONGER a restaurant. It is now a cooking class, different name. I don't know what else to write, I was disappointed to walk all this way to find we would not be getting a meal here. The gentleman running the cooking class helped us find another nice restaurant to get some good food.

Reza J.

Yelp
Oh ya... the food in this place is out of this world; the ribeye steak was done perfectly. The salmon was from Norway and it had no after taste fishy taste and it was fresh and moist. Both pastas were excellent although a bit too much cheese than one might want or like but the food taste and freshness is really amazing here. I would definitely recommend putting this place in your list if you are in Rome. I absolutely loved this place.

Yelp
We had dinner here twice during our stay in Rome...not just because it's near our hotel :) The flavor of food is quite decent and choices are plenty. Though I think this restaurant might be more of the packed by tourists rather than the locals type, as long as the food is nice, I wouldn't worry much about it. Each item here costs about 10-15 Euro, not the most inexpensive but do not disappoint. They do use frozen products in some of the dishes, but they mark it on menu so people can know. In the first visit we tried the seafood pasta and a fish fillet dish. The portion of pasta ran relatively small, but still enough to feed an average eater. Flavor wise it was quite nice - sauce was packed with tomato flavor, and it worked well with the noodle and the seafood. The shrimps were fried so you could eat it without having to peel the head and shell off. Fish dish had a tender texture and was nice too. The only thing that was a miss was the wine: I asked for a wine to pair with the seafood pasta but it turned out the flavor didn't blend that well. The second time we both ordered salads: one with duck meat and bacon, the other with shrimp and orange. The portion of salads was large, making them great choices for a light and full of vegetable meal. I personally would prefer if the shrimp and orange salad could be a bit more flavorful...but overall, still a nice plate.

Yelp
This place isn't open AT ALL. It's a cooking school! They haven't changed their website.

Yelp
A cute trattoria and the closest restaurant to my hotel. They open for lunch between 1:30- 3pm. My dish was an egg noodle pasta with seafood that included mussels, clams and squid in a light tomato sauce. There was no garlic in this dish and everything I've eaten so far in Italy has no garlic which is very unlike the Italian food I've eaten in Los Angeles, California. Unless you specifically order something with garlic, most dishes don't have garlic in it, I've noticed. We've repeatedly requested penne pasta with marinara sauce but so far have been denied. Guess they don't do penne around here, ha! Instead we were offered a short, rod-shape slightly spiraled pasta with a basic tomato sauce with no basil or oregano or any kind of herb, a very basic pasta dish. But it was good. And they customarily don't offer grated Parmesan cheese. It's not on the table nor do they mention that you can have upon request. They do however have olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. And the service was good here.

George C.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars if I could. The food and the service was outstanding! I started with the squid and prawn appetizer which was lightly breaded and fried. Then I ordered the pasta with seafood, smaller portion but very tasty. My wife just ordered the sea bass in a buttery orange and Contrue sauce. Light but with a lot of flavor. The house red was very good too. We finished with tiramisu for desert and it was awesome! Bon appétit!

Nikita J.

Yelp
This was the perfect way to kick off our trip through Italy! We started off with the bruschetta trio and all three options were brought out fresh, flavorful, and waiting to be heaped on perfectly warm and crusty bread. My husband ordered the sea bass pasta and I opted for the Cacio de Pepe. My husband normally leaves a little on his plate at the end of a meal and this was one of the few times I saw him clean the whole plate!! The seafood, olives, and tomatoes all balanced perfectly and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The cacio de Pepe was out of this world, creamy but the bite from the pepper kept it from becoming overwhelming. Service was friendly, attentive, and spot on with the wine recommendations! We were SO glad To find this gem so close to our hotel -- just a great spot for high quality food and service in a sometimes noisy and busy area.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Service was ok but portions were small. Food was tasty but not what I expected- the noodles were not bad but could have used more flavor- the ambiance was ok at first until the table next to us started smoking- really ruined a good evening- last thing I want when eating is cigarette smoke- we didn't try dessert because the smoke was causing me to have breathing problems

Chandani C.

Yelp
The food is beyond 5 stars, service was about a 3.5/4. Since the food was so great, I'm going to keep it at a 5. While I was in Rome, the search was on for great pasta and this place sounded really good. It was also a very short walk from our hotel and Termini station so we decided to check it out. I was blown awayy by the food. We started with bread that came with a variety of dips. Each one of them were so good. Then for our meals, I got the carbonara and my mom got the pasta with shrimp. The taste of the carbonara was fairly normal, but what made it so good is how fresh the pasta tasted. My mom's dish was a very unique flavor, but very very good. I was little concerned because it contained one of the pungent cheeses, but the taste of that didn't come through at all. We were tempted to order another and were even tempted to go back on our last night. For dessert we had their tiramisu. Now, I've had a lot of tiramisu in my life, but this was bites of heaven. It's was perfectly sweet and rich without being too sweet or too heavy. The service was just okay. A little hard to track down the waiter, but everything did come out correct and in a timely fashion. I highly recommend checking this place out when you're in Rome. The combination of it's convenient location and delicious food will have you wanting to come back again!

Whitney B.

Yelp
Mamma Angela's is amazing. I had the ricotta ravioli which was the special of the night. It had a mushroom sauce that was out of this world! The appetizer of meats and cheese was delicious... Now onto the dessert... the strawberry tiramisu... If you don't eat anything at all.. please please please try the strawberry tiramisu! It will knock you off your feet!

Grace B.

Yelp
The good: The staff speak English very well. The place is cute and well decorated. The tiramisu was pretty good and very boozy (although not fantastic as some other reviews have stated.) It's close to Termini and Villa Borghese which makes it convenient if you're in the area. The bad: Our original waiter never put in our orders. We waited a half hour for our cheese board before finally asking the waitress what was going on. She told us our order was ready, walked away, only to come back a few minutes later and ask us for our entire order again (without even looking at a menu again). Meanwhile, this whole time we had been waiting, second courses were pouring out left and right from the kitchen. After another 10 minutes or so, our cheese board finally came. Then, before we could even finish the cheeseboard, both of our first courses came out. The food itself was ok. Not terrible, but definitely not the best Italian food I've ever had, and certainly not worth the wait. For the same price, you can find much more generous and tasty dishes at other restaurants. When my boyfriend's second course came, they gave him the wrong side. We understood that this happened because our original waiter, who had talked my boyfriend into trying the local greens as a side, never put in our order, and the waitress who came and helped us didn't ask about the side, but it did not add to our enjoyment of the night at all. While we were eating, we also noticed that some of the waiters were drinking wine near the cash register. This seemed very unprofessional to me, but maybe things are just done differently here than other restaurants I've been to. Thankfully the kind waitress (who honestly seemed to be doing the jobs of everyone else: cleaning tables, taking orders, serving dishes, etc.) made sure that we got served.

Izzy B.

Yelp
Came here twice during my stay in Rome. It's walking distance from Termini putting it close to a good number of hotels, which is how I stumbled into it. Our first visit was outstanding on all fronts and our second visit was quite...disappointing. I'll start with the good. First Visit (the good) - Ate what was probably the BEST Carbonara of my life - Had an amazing server named Fritz who made us feel welcome in Rome - Excellent Tiramisu and Panna Cotta (and they make a good cappuccino) - Offered our first ever taste of Limoncello as we paid our bill. They take the Limoncello shot with you. It was delicious and I think they give it complimentary when they're not too busy. Second Visit (the bad) - Ordered a chicken dish and waited 40+ minutes (not an exaggeration) for it and it wasn't very good. - After about 30 minutes of waiting we asked someone what happened to our food and all they could tell us what that it was coming. Pretty sure they we're trying to avoid us until it came out? It was frustrating. - Had to sit around watching everyone around us was get their food, even people who walked in 10 minutes after we ordered. If I ever came back here, I'd stick to ordering pasta since that comes out quickly. The dessert was great and I'd even come back for that tiramisu. Honestly, my first visit was so good that I'm giving this a 4/5 rather than a 3/5. I think if you're concerned about long wait, you should probably ask them how long a particular dish would take. If I knew the chicken would take that long, I would've just gotten the Carbonara again. I recommend going a little closer to closing time when they're less busy.

Stella Y.

Yelp
3.5 This was my absolutely first stop in Rome and while this place was good, it wasn't my favorite compared to other places I've been to. I got the spaghetti with seafood and this must be the cheaper version of the pasta de mare because the seafood was small, not flavorful, and seemed like it was previously frozen. The pasta on the other hand was heavily seasoned and al dente. Not bad for my first meal. Still better than in America. P.S. They charge for water and it's not cheap.

Bernardo A.

Yelp
Back in 2015 we Yelped this small trattoria near our hotel. It was si memorable, so good, such an experience that we've always cherish this restaurant and wish we came back one day. On Nov 26, 2018 we came back to Rome and of course visit Mamma Angela's! Everything we remembered was the same: the food, the wine, the service, ambience...all of it! Their menu is simple and a items are great. So, order anything and you'll love it! A salutte!

Barbara C.

Yelp
This place was recommended by our hotel and we're glad we went. Really enjoyed our meal and the service. We both had lasagnas - hubs had the classic with meat and I had lasagna verdi with veggies and pistachios on top. Pasta was fresh. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Alice W.

Yelp
Good casual restaurant in a convenient location, was in Rome for vacation. The cacio e pepe here was really good. Noodles were a perfect texture so it was a great way to kick off my first dinner in Rome. I really liked the service. The service people were really nice and so friendly!

Daniel L.

Yelp
If you want authentic pasta this place is not bad!!! Honestly if you're able to find pasta that are 6euros those pasta places are legit and made fresh in front of you! But overall this place is worth a shot

Derek Y.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food at a pretty good price. The food here is amazing, easily the best I've had so far in Rome. Three of us came on a monday evening at 9pm and were immediately seated inside. I had the sea bass with potatoes, my girlfriend got the seafood pasta, and our other friend got the lasagna. At the end we ordered two tiramisu and one mixed berry panna cotta. (Fish was ~€16.50; seafood pasta was €15, desserts were €7 per.) My fish was deliciously tender and perfectly steamed; a squeeze of the lemon wedge is all you need to add. It comes as a whole fish so you have to cut it open yourself, but once you do it's amazing! The potatoes are also crazy good. I don't know how they did it, but the outside was draped in a thin layer of crispness, and inside is baked perfection. It didn't feel like I was just eating boring potatoes at all. The seafood pasta was also tasty, though I would note that it really tastes very seafood-y (including the noodles). That may turn some people off, but you're kind of paying for seafood pasta and it's a type of authenticity that isn't really seen in the States. My girlfriend really enjoyed it. Tiramisu was also delicious! It comes in a little cup and is light, creamy, and fluffy, all without being too much of anything. Service was normal and not extraordinary in one fashion or another, but you're not really there for exemplary service anyway. The prices are great for the quality and quantity, especially for seafood. I will be returning.

Terri A.

Yelp
Many many many options for good Italian food, but so glad I went here! Menu is varied and plenty of options but I had to choose something. The white wine featured was delicious. It had a great aroma and tasted fantastic. I wish I wrote down the name! I wanted to try something different so I went with the octopus and potato salad-- unique and delicious! October was so well cooked and tasted great as well. I chose the smoked salmon carbonara as my entree-- it was unforgettable. I almost licked the plate. Tried the caramel apple tiramisu, that wasn't as good as I had hoped. Had I been with someone that loved to try new food as much as I do, I could have done some serious damage to my waistline and wallet. Service was spotty but place was cute and comfortable. Definitely would go back when I get to Rome again.

David N.

Yelp
This is an excellent restaurant with great food and nothing outrageously expensive. I ate here my first night in Rome and loved it so much that I returned another night. I recommend you try their daily specials. I had the porchetta and pasta carbonara. This is a safe restaurant if you have vegetarians or pescatarians in your party. Their desserts are a highlight too. Try the panna cotta with forest fruits and tiramisu. Neither will disappoint.

Cary R.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food!! Every single dish was filled with deliciousness! We started with their assorted bread it was meh, their bufala burrata so delicious! Eggplant dish which I wish I remembered the name so delicious and so many others! This was probably one of the best meals while in Italy!

L L.

Yelp
This place was okay at best. They didn't serve tap water (would come in handy for the 100 degree weather) and did not have bread. We had pasta for the first course and they were okay. Then, the meat 2nd course dishes - the beef steak, chicken and pork shoulder - were all disappointments for us. They were dry, despite the sauces, and bland. At about €35 per person, it was the least memorable meal since we got here 5 days ago. The service were mediocre and a bit snobbish. This is definitely a tourist restaurant and it shows. I won't recommend it despite all the good reviews from Yelp.

G K.

Yelp
Place was busy, glad I had reservations. Caprese salad was delicious, rib eye was ordered medium, came out overcooked well done so I returned it, and ordered tonight's special - stuffed meatballs with chicory. Seasonal vegetables were good. Spouse ordered carbonara vegetarian, pasta was a little overcooked & green & tasted ok. After a while my replacement meatball dish came out warm outside & cold inside & chicory terribly overcooked & bland. No one checked if I enjoyed my replacement meal. When I told them, long discussion by staff looking at me funny. No one took my plate away for 5 minutes. Was told manager would come, No one checked on us for another 15 minutes. Asked for check, was told to go to cashier. Cashier did not take my meatballs plate off the bill, after another discussion with waiter & then asked me to pay for half my meal because I ate 1/2 meatballs, I agreed bit obviously they don't care about guest satisfaction. Would not return, it's not often tell gets it wrong. We had 5 other Italian meals in the area all of which were better.

Jessica H.

Yelp
Mama Angela's was the first on our list when we arrived in Italy. So glad Italians eat late because we did not show up until probably 9:30pm and they served us with no problem. The service was incredibly slow...even for Europe...not sure if they were doing this because we were American or no but I think we were there for 3 hours eating. The Cacio De Pepe here is INSANE! A must have! As well as the chocolate mousse ...wow wow wow! The food here was very nice and we also had a few glasses of wine to go with our meal which were reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Porchetta Decostruita - Pork shoulder..so yummy! Our only negative about this place other than slow service was that the bread was not that great. They gave us a free lemoncello drink for afterwards. My friend loved the pistachio cheesecake as well - best she has ever had.

Stella M.

Yelp
Seriously one of THE BEST meals we had in Italy! My friends and I all loved our dishes... Pasta was fresh and made al dente! So good Nomnom!!! I had their Seafood Pasta and it was just plain delicious. And they were generous with the amount of seafood they gave you... I was very happy! :) my friends also got their Cacio Pepe and Spaghetti Bolognese which were both very good. Their spaghetti bolognese was probably the best I've ever had... It was good! :) We also had their caprese salad which was good. For dessert we got their Panna Cotta and Tiramisu... Both were good but I liked their panna cotta better... I would most definitely eat here again if I'm ever in Rome... So good! Nomnom! :)

Stephen M.

Yelp
I ordered a carbonara there. Took 15 minutes to get the menu. I had to ask for it as they just forgot me outside. Plate tasted like bad Spaetzle with so much pepper that I coughed. Plate was drown in pepper. Staff told me it was the pork. But, come on, there were very little pork and I could literally see the pepper ground all over the plate. Finished, payed and leaved promptly. Who would guess I would have my worst carbonara ever in Rome ?

Sid P.

Yelp
Fruitti Di Mare was incredible. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Bruschetta was outstanding. The three different toppings was a nice change and all three were excellent. Caprese Salad was very filling. Fresh mozzarella and ripe tomatoes mixed with an extra virgin olive oil. Simple and very tasty. Fried prawns and calamari appetizer was flash fried and seasoned nicely. The cured meats, olives, and pork belly appetizer serving was also a generous portion and presented very nicely.

Jenny M.

Yelp
My husband and I like to joke that where there is seafood, there will be Asians. When we came to this place, away from most of the Roman cultural sights, all we found were fellow Asians...ordering the same dish that I also wanted; Frutti di Mare (aka seafood spaghetti). The bruschetta was delicious and so was the pasta. The hubby ordered sea bass pasta while I had the seafood spaghetti. The seafood was fresh however there was some sand in the clams. The water with gas (I love all the different ways that the Romans name sparkling water) had the right amount of gas - nice and strong, just the way I like it. Outside seating is a must on a nice day! It is well guarded against the road with a roof-like covering as well so you will be well protected against crazy drivers and the weather.

Matt D.

Yelp
This was one of the better meals we had while in Rome. A very well rounded restaurant with great customer service, unique home made italian recipes, and an affordable wine list with knowledgeable waitress. It immediately felt like home here with a warm atmosphere and the waitress was one of the nicest and caring people we met on our trip. The food was excellent with the pasta being fresh generous and the lasagna being exactly what it should be. Conveniently located spot to come by for a good meal with a homey feel to it all.

Yelp
Found this on Yelp and it certainly did not disappoint. It is pretty close to Termini station. There is outdoor and indoor seating. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. I really liked the ragu lasanga for 10 euros. It was large and delicious. I highly recommend this here. The seafood pasta was good as well. Our waiter recommended the carbonara but I would skip this dish here. It just wasn't that flavorful. Bellini was quite good with fresh peaches. The dessert was standard. Tiramisu better than panna cotta. Overall good experience and nice service.

Yelp
Was a little hesitant trying this place cause of recent reviews, BUT, I actually had a pleasant time here. I went around 5pm, and it wasn't busy at all, so the service was decent. Everything we ordered came out in a timely manner and it was good. Mind blowing, not quite. Good though, definitely try it out!

Yelp
I'm so glad that I saw the yelp reviews and decided to go. It was around the block from my hostel. Cutely decorated place with wine bottles everywhere. I ordered the bruschetta and the linguine frutti de mare. The bruschetta tomatoes tasted fresh and the bread was toasted. The seafood linguine was really good! It was he best pasta I had in Rome. It was not at all dry or too saucy. They used the red sauce and it had little tomatoes and was not stingy on the seafood. There were mussels, shrimp, clams, and squid. I recommend it and the price was decent! Only 12 euros! Cheaper than what I would get in the states. Service was great, great vino selection as well. Overall a cute little Italian restaurant.

Yelp
Best on Yelp reviews decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere was nice, walls decorated with wine bottles. To start we ordered Zucchina Tonda Ripiena (Stuffed Zucchini) it was delicious stuffed with cheese surrounded in a cream cause with mushrooms. First Course - Carbonara, sauce was a little to thick for my taste but still good. First Course - Saltimbocca Alla Romana, portions were good and the veal was tasty. Second Course - Involtino Di Pollo, the cheese stuffed chicken was good however i prefer my chicken on the warmer side, this was brought out more at room temperature. Overall I thought it was a bit overpriced, considering the surrounding restaurants nearby. If given the choice I would pass on eating here again.

Yelp
This was our first restaurant we picked just after arriving in Italy. Fabulous food! Fabulous atmosphere! We had a variety of antipasti on bruschetta ! Delicious! The wine was delicious and good choices. We were able to understand each other in our broken Italian and broken English with the waitstaff- no problems!

Yelp
When In Rome... Look on yelp for amazing pasta spots and find Mamma Angela Trattoria. While I was backpacking Europe, I took a train from Naples to Rome. As soon as I hopped off the train I was starving. Hungry + 20 pound backpack on my back + Me = Not good. When I found this place and noticed is was not too far of a walk I was quite the happy camper. Anyways, my friend and I found the restaurant and luckily it was open and not crowded at all, it was during lunch time. Ordered sweet wine, caprese salad, Spaghetti Carbonara, and panna cotta. Let me tell ya, I was in absolute heaven. Needless to say, I recommend this spot and you will feel like you are eating an your mamma's house!!

Yelp
Our first night in Rome, and we decided to try this place based upon reviews. This is such a quaint little restaurant with shelves of wine lined around the restaurant. We ordered calamari for our appetizer and red wine. We both enjoyed a pasta dish with red sauce, tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. The service was excellent!! This was a great choice.

Yelp
We ate here our first night in Rome. We flew in rather late and it was raining that night so we decided to eat around our hotel. There aren't many restaurants around Termini station so this place looked promising. The atmosphere was nice. Very dim lighting for that romantic feel. I ordered the lasagna and my wife got the linguine. Both dishes weren't bad but nothing to boast about. Two entres and drinks came out to about 30 euros which wasn't bad. It was a nice first dining experience in Rome. Free WIFI and friendly staff.

Yelp
This is the worst customer service I have ever received! From the moment we walked in the door they stereotyped us due to our race. We were told it would take 30min to get a seat but yet many people would walk in after us and got seated within minutes without a reservation. I would not recommend this place to anyone no matter how hungry you are, they're are much better places right across the street and next door. I would not spend my last dollar here even if I was starving.

Yelp
This restaurant is ok. Nothing special. Glad I had a reservation and didn't have to wait in line. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and it was good, not more than that. Then my husband and son ordered the carbonara pasta, we just called the way it was cooked as super al dente. I thought the carbonara was bland and my son said it tasted like bad 'blue box'. It didn't resemble any carbonara we have ever had. Very heavy sauce and a spiral like pasta. I ordered the stuffed chicken with the white wine sauce and potatoes and again...just ok. Nothing special, would never go back even if down the street from my home. It's too bad, the reviews were glowing. We ate at a place last night just down that street named Trattoria Dell'Omo...sure the actual restaurant wasn't nearly as nice as this restaurant, but the food was heaven. My son even ordered seconds.

Yelp
Oh mamma, pesce fritto baccalà! Best meal! Best ppl! Best time!! Had a few meals on my latest Roma return visits in 2015. Not bad at all. I have my usually favorites all over town but I happened to hop off the train from Milan. Long-ish train and of course: I was starving! Instead looking for a way to get to our apartment: I came here for fooood!! When in Rome~ mangia mangia!! Pasta! Pesce! Wine! Lardo! Offals! Eat errrrthing! So I did. This isn't as close as I thought it would be from Termini station but it's doable. Affordable wine list, great dishes. Outside seating always have cover/copa but inside you get plenty attention. And they even have an English speaking waiter if you decide to go for English only. The good: primis aka first plates!! Pasta baby!! All kinds and shape! Amriticina? Caccio e pepe? Carbonara? Have it all! Pretty yummy too. Love the gamberi wrapped in Lardo! Talk about amazing!! I love the charred grilled shrimp taste! And thinly wrapped lardo can only be done in Roma!! Paired it with a glass of Rose and a bottle of Pinot Grigio! Viola! My quick meal out of train turned to a long afternoon meal! They even helped me called the taxi! Some uber strikes going on. But I sipped, ate and twirled into my ride on a very hot day without breaking a sweat!! Win-win!! I shall see you very soon!!!
