This was definitely one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever endured. From the minute we walked in the door, where they had no reservations for us which we had made on Friday in person because no one answered their phones, to waiting close to two hours to be served dinner. This experience is one I choose to never partake in again. Our waitress was clueless and frazzled, and kept apologizing for the fact that they were short staffed, had one bartender, etc., etc. I work in the service industry and their staffing is not my problem. We waited close to 20 minutes for bread and water and another 45 minutes to receive our wine because there was only one bartender that night. Saturday night and it's your opening weekend and you only have one bartender. Shameful! When our food order was finally taken, it took close to an hour to receive our meal. Thank God we had bread on table (which was cold and tasteless) but at least it was something. One of our dining companions ordered calamari as her meal, and it was served as an appetizer which she had to send back. The soup she was served was ice cold. When she did receive her calamari for dinner, she did not receive the tentacles that she specifically asked for so that was another 15 minutes. The food was sub standard at best and definitely not worth the wait. We typically go to an Italian restaurant in our neighborhood which is packed every single night like an opening Saturday night and the service is second to none every single time.
I was criticized on their website for my review and told that I should be more forgiving for the poor service but that I cannot do. This is not their first rodeo. They already own a restaurant in Henrietta so they know how things are and they should've been prepared. Unfortunately, we will not return and I will make sure I pass on to everyone I know how poor the service and the food was....so I guess shame on me for being so critical, but I expect a little bit more when I go out to dinner.
