If you’re gluten-free and in Okinawa this spot is a MUST. I was searching for GF options and couldn't believe the entire menu here is gluten-free. As someone with both gluten and dairy allergies, dining out in Japan can be a challenge but this restaurant went above and beyond. Definitely make a reservation in advance. We tried to walk in on our first night, but they were fully booked. Thankfully, the staff was very kind and helped us secure a reservation for the following evening. It’s a prix fixe menu, and when I mentioned my dairy allergy, the owner was incredibly accommodating and customized the entire experience for me. That kind of care is rare in Japan and truly appreciated. The food was exceptional, Italian dishes made with care, with an excellent wine selection and I highly recommend the wine pairing. The flavors, presentation, and attention to detail made it one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere. Bonus: they sell their gluten-free bread to take home which was such a treat to have for the rest of my trip. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, run by a hardworking local couple who made us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. This place is a standout for anyone but especially a dream for gluten-free travelers in Japan.

We had a great evening for my wife’s birthday here even though I am a vegetarian and there was no menu the chef made us an amazing vegetarian 6 course menu that tasted amazing. They were also very child friendly and helped us with our needs for our 7 month old. The alcohol free bubble wine also tasted super good. Book your visit in advance as it is on reservation basis. But in my opinion definitely worth it. Thanks again it was great

I went to this restaurant last evening on a spontaneous whim, and I’m so glad I did! The food was incredibly delicious and felt truly authentic. I genuinely enjoyed every single bite. ☺️ On top of that, the owners were absolutely lovely and created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I felt completely at ease the whole time. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

Everything is gluten free! Our Anniversary dinner was prepared and served with attention to detail and love. The couple who own the restaurant made it a splendid and memorable experience. I would have posted photos of the soup, shrimp and fennel salad, spaghetti, ravioli, and desserts, but was so enamored and in the moment with the food. I only remembered after enjoying a most delicious espresso .

This place exceeds expectations. When most people think of a coursed menu they think the portions will be small and they will leave hungry. Most people think of gluten free and think the food will not taste the same. That is not the case here at all. I left very full and very happy! The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and even more so, the couple that owns the restaurant. The restaurant is inviting and cozy, the owners are so friendly and attentive, and the food is out of this world. Every course is thoughtfully put together and made to perfection. I cannot recommend this place enough!! Please make a reservation ahead of time as it is by reservation only. The menu changes every month to represent a different region in italy. It really is an outstanding place and beyond worth a try!

Absolutely divine experience. Adorable small restaurant (make sure to make a reservation!) serving authentic Italian food that's also gluten free (but doesn't sacrifice the taste at all!!). All the food was fantastic and the ambience was wonderful. Would love to come back.

It's currently 1815 and I was turned around at the door, no seats till 2030 and currently three tables were open. I was in beach garb at the time. If you're racist and don't want white people on Sunday's just tell me.

This Italian Cafe was excellent. Very small place, but absolutely perfect environment. Quiet hole in the wall on the NW corner of Okinawa just west of Camp Hansen Marine Corp Base. Run by a local Family. Three of us got pasta and I got pizza and all of the dishes were excellent. Price range is right in the ballpark of what you would expect for this kind of establishment. We will definitely be going back to Mamma Lella's.
