Mamma Mia's Pizza & Pasta

Got the Philly cheese steak sandwich, and it was awesome!!! I'll get more photos next time. Service was good, and the garlic bread before the meal was delicious 😋

This is one of those restaurants. I can't brag about enough. Take a chance, give it a try. You'll be back. The sauces are homemade, Pastas are amazing and out of this world. And I enjoy getting people hooked on new places to try, and this is definitely one of them. But what ever you do DO NOT DOORDASH most the time after 2 sometimes 3 hours they just cancel your order after you waited the whole time. Go in person get the bread and amazing dipping sauce don't forget to get some Togo and just eat there.

Maybe it was an off day , but seemed to have great potential. Service needed work , the younger servers ones weren't pulling their weight (except one) and Jessica. Thank you Jessica for your hard work. The low service or rating wasn't because of her. The food was good , presentation could be worked on. I'll wait a bit before I go back 😔

Arlend, bes, sabian (sorry if I miss spelled) were very helpful for my first time they recommended me the Chicken Ala Vodka and it was so delicious the bread was excellent, coming from New York this place felt like home thank you to the 3 young gentleman for being so helpful and kind will be back again

Well this was my first time and I was hardly impressed.. I normally don't give bad reviews and I really wish I could say this was a great experience but it was subpar at best . The waitress/ server was great, she's very attentive and friendly, can't say the same for the rest of the staff that I came across. The males had an attitude like we were bothering them , the place was semi dirty from tables still waiting to be cleaned, the floor hasn't been vacuumed probably since the morning if at all, the bathroom had no towels and I had to get my own menus.. lastly the food was only OK, the pasta for fettuccine had too much sugar in the recipe. The lasagna was good and the desert was good . It's a shame because this place has got great potential, and very lastly, big UPS to Jessica, she's a sweet hard worker.. We took a chance on this small place on a whim. OMG it was INCREDIBLE. We asked Reagan (who was spectacular) what she recommended and she turned us on to their pasta trio. Foodgasm with every bite. Fresh, hot, and the flavors... wow! Recommend anyone to give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I wanted to switch up and tried the Philly Cheesesteak. Terrible decision. Seemed like the meat was made yesterday and the whole sandwich was super dry. Really limited on onions and peppers. No reason I should be washing down a Philly because it’s so dry. We got some other food that was pretty good but I’ve never had a worse Philly

Awful place, food and especially the Manager! I called to tell her my food was bad and she told me it was my fault because I took too long to pick it up! They were doing construction in front of this restaurant and traffic was backed up for miles. The sauce container had melted on my food which if the health department knew about that, that would be a health violation!!! You don't put sauces, packets of ketchup, or plastic wear in with the food! Yuk!! The manager did not want to make good for my bad order, so I decided to write a review about this incident ! I called back to get the managers name and the girl that answered the phone told me she was not in. I told her I had just spoken to her and she just laughed. I asked her for the name of the manager and she told me she didn't know her name and then again laughed like it was a big joke! So, I asked what her name was and she replied, she didn't know her own name !! REALLY!! How can you treat your patrons like that! Well, it's sad, so if you want some really good Italian food, go to Joe's Italian right down on Spencer across from Kelly's. They are excellent and the service is amazing!!! I'm kinda glad this happened now because I found an amazing new place that puts Momma mias to shame! Plus the waiters speak with Italian accents and are so sweet!!! Momma Mias manager is awful!!!!

Excellent Veal Parmigiana, salad and Pizza. Great group of staff and chefs. Comfy setting.

It was our first time eating there, the ambience isn't great but As soon as you walk in you can smell the delicious food. Our waitress, unfortunately I don't remember her name, she was wonderful, with a bubbly personality. She didn't miss a beat with our refills and making sure we had what we needed. 10/10

Zero Ny, zero north. The pizza might be good but they don't understand what a pie or hoagie is. Look some where else. Russo's in pearland puts this place to shame. But well worth the drive

I loved going here until recently the service was kind of awful. usually it's a sit yourself down kinda place, so I sat waiting for my mother. 20 mins go by and my mom gets here and the waitress was just passing us by like nothing until my mom spoke up and then the waitress said "sorry thought you were takeout " but didn't think to ask?! we ordered it took about 30 mins. and when we see our order go to another table we look over and the waitress brings my mom her pasta but I noticed mine had gone to the table. I told her oh that was my pasta! and she said that those people where here first and that it was hers... THEN the ladies pasta came out and the waitress brings the other customer her pasta takes the plate she first gave her and gave it to me. what if this other customer ate from it or something.. and I just lost my appetite after that. I told my husband who also works in the food industry and he was so surprised that was even acceptable. I haven't been back since... but the food solely the food. is worth the try but the staff needs some work.

I ordered the extra large All meat pizza. The meat toppings were few and far between without much flavor. The bread was great, but the dipping oil taste rancid. The waitress went and set in the far corner of the restaurant away from us. Talking to one of her co-workers and totally ignored us. We had to get the man behind the counter to help us.

When I finally ordered, I got the baked ziti with marinara. Pasta was a little over cooked and pasta was mostaccioli and NOT ziti. I know it's a slight difference, but different none the less. The sauce was tasty but it could have had more cheese baked on top. Prices were reasonable and overall a good meal. Then I had to wait and wait for my server to finally come by to ask if I was finished and to tell me to just go to the register without a check, only to ask the person at the register how much, and they had no clue, she had to get my server to ring me out . They would have gotten 4 stars if their service and check out system were improved..

Ordered 2 ziti bolognese, 1 fettucine alfredo and one order of breadsticks as a to-go order. I received 2 ziti with meat sauce (which is $2 cheaper per plate), no bolognese to be found... and the food portion for the fettucine alfredo was terrible. the only redeeming factor is that the breadsticks were fresh. Normally this is a decent spot but today was not good. The food took 45 minutes to come out and for the majority of the order to be wrong was just disappointing. I don't know that i'll be back at this point.

Tried again their shrimp diablo with black olives and I added some parmesan cheese and absolutely loved it! It came with bread nice and warm and a salad.

I live in Houston & look forward to eating here whenever I am in Deer Park. I should have taken a photo of the lunch menu. Most entrees are $8.99 or $9.99 & include a lovely salad & 2 small loaves of yummy bread! I generally get lasagna or the cheese manicotti. Everything that I've ever had is great. I wish the upscale Houston Heights had a real deal Italian restaurant at this price point. Call to confirm, but I think it's still BYOB!!!!

First timer trying the restaurant. It's BYOB and always busy so my husband and I wanted to see what it was all about. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband got the Pasta Trio. Reasonably priced. They serve bread at the beginning which is bomb. Literally so good! The rest of the food wasn't really good though. Got a salad with our pasta, but there was way too much dressing and it was all lukewarm, like it has just been sitting out. It did take a very long time to get our food, but everything was very fresh and hot, so I didn't mind the wait. We went about 15 minutes with empty water cups until I finally flagged down our waiter and asked for more water. That's when he told us that the water had been shut off and it would be another 10-15 minutes before it was back on. We offered us something else. We got sprites. He ended up giving us bottles of water also. Once we finished eating, we waited about another 10 minutes before I had to find the waiter and ask for some boxes for my husband, and the check. He brought the boxes, but not the check, and never came back. We ended up going to the counter to pay, and as they were ringing us up, I noticed that we were charged for the sprites. I asked if that was necessary, since the only reason they were brought was due to the water being shut off to the restaurant. They were super understanding and took the sprites off. All in all, it wasn't the worst, but I don't think we'll be back. Cute place though!

This is the second time I come around and again the service was great, never a bad atmosphere of experience. Bread was fluffy and soft cooked all the way through with amazing poof, topped with Parmesan not super over powering just right. Lasagna was ordinary in the best way, nothing out of the norm of what you would expect from a traditional dish. Decided to get something different with the Chicken and Sausage - comes with mushrooms and cooked in a white wine sauce etc; it was good and not overpowering with flavor. The onions were nice a soft but not mushy, just the whole dish was a win. Side note I mention the onion for those who are not a big fan like myself but honestly it was great added some flavor that sit just right to the palate.

I have been getting pizza here for 3 years. Service and quality have steadily gone down. Tonight was the worst. I ordered a chicken alfredo pizza with extra toppings. It had no chicken and no alfredo. It was a cheese pizza. Even worse, I was treated like crap when I went to pick it up. The male staff member acted put out why I was there, left me standing there after I told him why I was there, and finally brought the pizza and threw it on the counter and walked off. Please go out of business!

Pizza is on point!! Very big portions. The pasta is creamy and delicious I also had a very fresh house salad. This is definitely a hidden gem!

Great food and lunch portions are very big! Went there after the lunch hour and had no problems with the service. I thought going after lunch might make them a bit slow but no, they sat us down immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. The waiter was very professional and fast. He had no trouble answering questions about the menu. The place is nice with various murals on the walls. What surprise me most about my chicken dish was the marinara sauce wasn't bitter like some of the sauces are. Is it perhaps because it's homemade that it's so good? The bread they put on the table are big rolls, and very savory. My only disappointment was in the iced tea and it could be that I am a purist, but it didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked it to be but that wouldn't stop me from going again!

We went to dinner tonight at Mama Mia's. My daughter ordered the fettuccine with broccoli and when they brought her plate to her it had a pretty size-able roach mixed in her food. We notified the waitress who took the plate and apologized. They made her another plate and the waitress offered my daughter a free dessert. The owner never came to speak to us regarding the situation. I feel a conversation with the owner acknowledging the issue would have been nice. We will not be going back there ever again. I would have included a picture but we were shocked in the moment and the waitress took the plate before I could of even thought about taking a picture. If I could rate this place a zero I would have but it makes you at least give one star.

all I can say is wow not only is the food phenomenal but the people and the atmosphere are what makes the experience worth it if you guys are ever in the area stop by and get some of the best food ever

Always hot and fresh! Everything is authentic. Bread is amazing and Chicken Alfredo is so creamy.

I'm not one to complete surveys but the way this situation was handled was not right. I ordered two lasagnas, one a kid's lasagna and the other regular through Grubhub. I received two kids lasagnas. I am a regular customer and only order through pickup since the lasagna portion size is a lot bigger than the dine in and I do love their lasagna. Flavor is delicious! When I called to let them know that it was incorrect I was transferred to a lady (I forgot her name) who is the manager. Instead of resolving the issue properly, she continuously argued that the cook had packaged the items properly as ordered and if anything was wrong it was the drivers fault since I ordered it through Grubhub. She ended the conversation to just pick up one if I wanted too but the way she handled it did not sit well with me.

Waitress was very nice. Pizza is excellent. Unfortunately the veal parmesan was horrible. It was tough. Hard to cut. I brought it to the attention . They took off the one veal parmesan which we replaced with a pizza but the other one they would not take offbecause my granddaughter ate the spaghetti that came with it. So I said well can't you just charge me for a kids spaghetti meal then. The boss said no. I don't normally like to write negative reviews . We usually love this place but don't think this was right. It's not right. I was willing to pay for the spaghetti. Wish I could add a photo to show how burnt/black the veal was. Definitely overcooked!

In an industrial part of the Houston area, youre not going to get a lot of ambiance. If you're looking for a great Italian meal at a great place, this is it. Pasta is home made. I Alfredo sauce with crab. Creamy sauce with real crab. Great flavor. Food took a little longer than most places. It came out very hot. It was really a great value.

Friends took my husband and me for lunch here. This is the best Italian food I have ever had! The tomato sauce is thick, sticks to pasta, very flavorful with excellent balance of herbs and spices. The service is very good, friendly, knowledgeable. The bread was excellent, too. Between the four of us we ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce, cheese ravioli, and 2 lasagnas. There was enough for 3 meals for each of us! Oh, the salad, too, was fresh, crisp, and very good. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone. Just wish I had taken a picture!

We went here for lunch even though we have always had bad service decided to give it another shot. This is the last time we will go. My daughters cup still had lipstick from who knows who. She didn't noticed it until the cup got half way down. Disgusting to think they don't properly wash their dishes. We got a napkin and it came off very easily so I assume it was a fresh lipstick.

Chicken Alfredo was delicious. Their bread is very good too. The restaurant is small but clean.

This place is fantastic. The building itself is older and small but it is not to be missed. Portions are great and the food is delicious.

Hidden gem in Pasadena for Italian food! The pizza and pasta dishes are delicious and taste home made. So much better than Olive Garden (but what isn't?). One of my favorite date night spots for yummy pasta and bread with oil. Great service, too!!

Very good pizza, great service. The New York pizza was 9/10 very reasonably priced, and tons of flavor. The complimentary bread was maybe 7/10...good dipping oil. The service was great, waitress was friendly and quick. We came in and the place was almost empty, not sure why because the pizza is fire. We found a new pizza spot and they did say that it was byob.

Well I was craving some good Italian food, and Yelp brought me here. Small restaurant with some class! You can tell this place has some good food! And I was not disappointed, had the garlic cheese bread as an appetizer and bam this amazing looking mouth watering garlic cheese bread was at my table! I'm thinking food coma today!!! Salad was amazing with house made vinaigrette raspberry snap snap snap!!! I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a skinny kid! I had the pasta trio!!! Omg this was amazing, the Alfredo was like no other I have ever tasted in my life! Like seriously the flavor of it was indescribable for reals. This dish was delicious and I mean very delicious. Come and get some amazing traditional Italian food be back here to try the seafood combo! Oh I can't wait!!!! Fat kid is very happy!!!

Almost every city, town, or suburb has a Chinese restaurant with a huge menu and that excels at takeout. While I don't know where that Chinese restaurant is in Deer Park, I was fortunate enough to find the Italian equivalent. Mama Mia's has a huge menu with a variety of pizza and pasta options on it. While they do a huge takeout business, we dined in on Saturday night and came away happy. We didn't know whether it was counter service or table service at first due to the cash register and menu board that you see when you come in. We were encouraged to sit anywhere. Our server was friendly, informative, and provided excellent service. We were first served their garlic knots, which while excellent in themselves, were even better with the accompanying olive oil and herbs. We then each tried a slice of cheese pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was close to NY style, but with a little more cheese and a little less sauce. My dinner of baked ziti was right on point and the baked flavor was not overwhelmed by cheese. In fact, the layer of mozzarella on top was the only cheese meaning that the meat sauce and pasta stood for themselves. My dining companion loved her chicken Marsala which had huge mushroom slices and an exceptionally rich sauce that could easily be served at a more upscale Italian option. If you're looking for great Italian food in an unpretentious atmosphere, you need to visit Mama Mia's. It's on my go-to list for the Houston area.

3 days ago we placed an order for 12 pizza pies for an event we had today. We were told it would be ready at 11:45. I went early to make sure they would be making it on time. I was totally amazed that 10 pies were ready at exactly at 11:45 and the last 2 came out 2 minutes later. They were not made earlier and sitting under a heat lamp!!! Now about the extra large pizzas. They were outstanding and our party truly loved the pizza. We had a cheese, a Canadian bacon, a pepperoni and a white pizza. They were not greasy or oily pizzas but were extremely tasty. We will be coming back for our next pizza party.!

Love it, family owned, hole in the wall, local joint... checks all the boxes. We always order to go just because it's close to home but never disappointed. Always friendly. First time on the cakes= BOMB.

I ordered thru grubhub I got the garlic bread and stromboli. The stromboli was raw in the middle couldn't even eat the filling because the cheese acts like glue and fused everything together so it tasted like raw dough. Never again.

We usually come here for the pizza but decided to be adventurous and try out the pasta dishes. My boyfriend had ordered Spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was overcooked. When the waitress came by to check on us he requested that he get a new dish since the spaghetti was overcooked and not very good. She said no problem and he ended up ordering a meatball sub. When I walked up to the register to pay my waitress immedietly said "By the way the owner said I'm going to have to charge you for at least a kids spaghetti dinner since he ate a meatball and some of the spaghetti." I told her he barely touched it and the spaghetti was overcooked. I wasnt about to pay for badly prepared food let alone food he didnt even eat. she then said, "The owner told me to keep the plate just in case there were any problems." She brough me the plate. (see attatched photo) It was a full plate of spaghetti with a meatball missing. I told her exactly that. I told her again it was not okay to charge me for something he barely touched. She went on to try and argue with me telling me they dont give away free food and that they are not a franchise but a family owned business. She took the plate back. She comes back saying that the cook said not to charge me for it so she wasn't. Said it didnt matter anyway and that the price of the dish was going to come out of her paycheck. I asked if she was serious and she said yes. This is NOT how you treat your employee's. This is NOT how you treat your customers. If the owner has to account for a single meatball and a few bites of over cooked spaghetti Im guessing this place has alot worse problems. You wont catch me eating here again.

Best pizza around. I love the lunch special- two slices, a wonderful salad (get the house dressing) and a drink. I need to branch out and try some other items, but... I love the pizza! My husband tried a Stromboli and said it was great. You also get hot fresh bread and oil to dip it in. So good!

Had not been here in 7-8 years, ended up on Thai side of town for baseball and came for dinner. Food was good as I had remembered. Would recommended for Italian food dinner.

Always been a 5 star restaurant. The food is always very fresh and delicious. Salad was serviceable and the fresh bread at the table with oil and herbs is always a treat. I have only ordered pasta dishes here, but I hear the other options such as sandwiches and pizzas are good too.

Was excited based on reviews and the "wood fired" pizza. When I think of wood fired, I think of nice crispy fluffy crust having been baked in a high heat in a brick oven, but this pizza tasted like it was made with a frozen crust. Not impressed.

Food is really good but the service is always piss poor. I go for lunch most of the time and 9/10 times the order will always be wrong. Just something to consider cause it does take forever already to get your food

I want to start with, I'd go five stars, the staff deserve it! The restaurant is clean but a little dated. The staff and food are wonder. I eat here about three to five times a week. Tell them chuck told me to check it out! The first thing on the menu is great, spaghetti sauce with meat balls, you can have meat sauce if you prefer, and the portions are generous without being too much so! Most entrees come with a fresh garden salad, greens, onions, tomatoes and cucumber. The bread is fresh baked to order! Oh my son's favorite is the chicken Alfredo, I Oder this too on occasion, this has to be the perfect pairing of pasta chicken and creamy deliciousness. For a long time I ate only the spaghetti and meatballs with sauce. After a year of intense repetition I decided to bounce around, other recommendations are the baked ziti, lasagna and the trio! Try this place out family friendly, wallet friendly. One other thing if you want to feed a group of 6-8 you can order a family order for about $60! 10 pcs bread a large catering (aluminum) tray of salad and your main course! I give you my word I order this at least once or twice a month when we all want watch a movie or just stay in! Check it out. I usually sit at the first table by the door! CJWII

Everything of this restaurant I love, firstly I like the idea that they hire teenagers for be waiters, bc it gives the opportunity to have their first jobs, and that's appreciable. Secondly, their pizza in sliced, okay, their round pizza is good, BUT THEIR PIZZA IN SLICED IS SOMETHING ELSE, is super soft, is crunchy at the same time is something so weird bc you think that comes from the round pizza so it goes to have the same tastes, BUT NOT, and is so delicious. Lastly, their garlic bread, isn't that garlic bread that your order, is that garlic bread that they give you FOR FREE, yes for free, that one, is amazing, is full of flavor, is soft, crunchy... and if you want more they give you more FOR FREE! Thank you guys for always to be a good experience.

Been going here as a college student during lunch or with friends. Food is always made hot and fresh. Even the bread is crispy and warm!

If you're in the La Porte/Pasadena area and you're jonesing for a slice of New York style pizza, Mama Mia's is your spot. This divey little building sits across the Spencer Hwy from a low-end strip mall, and adjacent to San Jacinto College's central campus. Unless you count the trite wall murals, there's nothing really fancy about the place. But it's clean and the seating is plentiful. Service is polite and efficient. As for the pizza, it's clutch. Mega-thin crust with the classic crispy chew that New Yorkers love. Perfectly foldable. The sauce is simple, as it should be, and the cheese seems to be of good quality. Yes, Mama Mia's sells pizza by the slice, but they also make wonderful whole pies to order. I'll be back for sure.

The food is good. Traditional old school Italian American classics. My biggest complaint is I've seen the owner on several occasions be a jerk to his staff of young women. It's very off putting. He's so nice to customers and "friends" that come in but a total hardass to what appears to be high school aged young women. I don't eat here anymore because of it. Some of the booths are in need of repair or tlc. It's pretty good food, I just really don't like seeing an owner or manager take out their stress on the employees.

I was driving along Pasadena looking for an Italian restaurant and my eyes came upon this which I mistakenly thought was a good size restaurant, The bathroom was atrocious looked terrible, Arlen the server was unprofessional and his hygiene is appalling and unacceptable, That wasn't even the worst of it, the food was mediocre and bland, These eastern Europeans do not know what authentic Italian food should be presented as. And ziti pastas are not served with Penne pasta...what an absolute joke.
