I had an awesome experience at Mammoth Cave! 🦣 I did the self-guided tour and really enjoyed exploring at my own pace. Being inside this incredible natural wonder was absolutely out of this world 🌎. I left early around 6am from Perth, with one stop for top'up with fuel the car and arrived at Mammoth 🦣 Cave around 09:05am for my 9:30am booking I booked ahead of time. I highly recommend the early morning bookings are to avoiding potential traffic, especially on weekends and to avoid the hot weather, if you are visiting during summer, at least on the way to the Cave. The cave is well-lit, easy to navigate, and the audio guide adds great context. Definitely worth visiting, and going early makes it even better!

We did the self-guided tour with an audio guide. Booking through GetYourGuide saved us $2.50 compared to buying a ticket directly at the entrance. Due to the lengthy introduction, the information in the audio guide about specific areas of the cave only came up after we had already passed through that section, forcing us to backtrack and review it, that's a bit annoying because the pathway is very narrow, and when there are many visitors, it is often blocked. The cave itself is impressive. It is best to visit the cave early to enjoy it undisturbed.

Absolutely loved it. It would be awesome if you could buy a cave pass at a reduced price as an incentive to visit all the caves of your choice as it becomes a bit expensive when you're wanting to go to all of them and pay individually. But, definitely LOVED the experience.

I’ll admit I have always been a little scared of caves, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when visiting Mammoth Cave. To my surprise I absolutely loved it and the experience completely changed how I feel about being underground. The staff were excellent from the start I especially appreciated the self-guided headset tour. It was easy to follow, full of fascinating facts, and let me explore at my own pace without feeling rushed. The cave itself is breathtaking with huge chambers, stunning formations, and an atmosphere that feels both humbling and peaceful. While I was nervous at first, I quickly found myself in awe of the place rather than afraid. At the end, climbing the 160 steps back to the surface was definitely a challenge, but it was very doable with a steady pace and it felt rewarding after the tour. Overall I cannot recommend Mammoth Cave enough. Even if caves make you a little uneasy like me, the combination of excellent service, a thoughtful self-guided experience, and the sheer beauty of the cave itself makes it an unforgettable adventure.

What a great cave to visit! Reasonably priced for adults and children, and good value with the audio guided tour headphones you receive for the walk. In terms of hardness - not too hard to walk this one. The steps are not too overwhelming as they are in shorter flights and not too steep. The views are fantastic, with the cave being well lit as you progress. Once you exit the cave, the walk back is beautiful through the greenery and tall trees. You have a choice of a shorter walk or a longer walk, but we took the shorter as the rain was pouring! ☔️ 🌳 🌲 absolutely beautiful spot in the forest either way, as you would expect of this region. Highly recommended!

A beautiful cave with lovely Cape Foundation staff. Lots of steps, but worth it. With all the Caves, if it's a weekend or a drizzly day during peak season, definitely book ahead so you don't miss out.

Fantastic self-paced tour! The audio guide was excellent—clear, engaging, and full of interesting information. There were a few steps along the way, but nothing too challenging. The views were absolutely stunning and perfect for photos. Highly recommend!

Mammoth Cave was an awesome experience! Self-guided tour, very accessible, great walk paths throughout with a number of stairs in and out. The best part was the mega flora fossils to see, highly recommend!
