I've visited this place tens of times, and it never disappoints. The food quality, service and atmosphere are always great. Their regular menu is already very good, but they always have some specials. Visited them on my summer trip, and enjoyed the views on a chill Friday evening.

Google
Amazing food paired with the best service rivaling any fine dining in LA. A goto every year when we come. The Ribeye, short rib, beef carpaccio, and elk are all memorable and there isnt enough room on this forum to describe each well enough to do them justice.

Google
Brasserie located in the Rock 'N' Bowl is a delicious find in Mammoth Lakes. It's a French, upscale (but still casual) restaurant located on the second floor above the bowling alley. We had the wild mushroom strudel, escargot and duck. We highly recommend all three. The French soup looked marvelous and the dessert options were expansive. The service was wonderful and friendly as well as very helpful with wine selection.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the creamy mushroom soup—it was so delicious that I’d go back just for it. The caramel brûlée was also excellent. However, the rest of the dishes were fairly average.

This place deserves more recognition. A hidden French restaurant gem with an amazing chef serving up the best elk and fish. The loup de mer, elk medallions, and saffron grouper are CHEF’s KISS. Truly a great find in mammoth. Also they have a great view! The wine list is great and service is always impeccable.

Really amazing views, great service, and good food. You forget you’re eating above a bowling alley, such a unique experience all around!

5 STARS ISN'T ENOUGH FOR THIS RESTAURANT! 🤩🍴 I'm a wedding planner, and I've worked with many restaurants, but this one truly stands out! From finding the venue to trying the food and organizing the dinner, the entire process was a breeze. Stephan was always easy to get ahold of, and his calm and professional demeanor put me at ease every time we spoke. As a wedding planner, it's crucial for me to have a beautiful reception and an amazing dinner, and this restaurant delivered both in spades! Stephan even allowed me to drop off my decor a few days earlier and set everything up for me, which was a huge help. Unfortunately, I had a bit of a situation on my hands - my hired coordinator dropped the ball (yes, you read that right - the wedding planner was duped!), but Stephan and his team picked up the slack and made sure everything ran smoothly. The staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive, and not one of our guests had anything but wonderful things to say about the food and views! The restaurant truly delivered and then some. I'll definitely be referring my clients to this restaurant and Stephan - they're the real deal! If you're looking for a venue that will exceed your expectations, look no further. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give them ten stars if I could! 💯👏

Mammoth Brasserie is definitely a place to plan your dinner when visiting mammoth lakes. Service is 5* , courses presented with a playful taste, true joy for both , your taste buds and eyes. What a lovely treat, can’t wait to visit again ! Thank you

Yelp
What a cool bowling spot! We made reservation and had a great time w the whole family! This place has some fun figures that I have not seeing and we had a great time! Kids had food and enjoyed it! Thank you!

Mara L.

Yelp
This place is fun! Do wish it was a little less busy, as we could not get a lane even calling three nights before to book, but food is good, and have a nice selection of exotic drinks for kids like blueberry lemonade. Arcade is fun, and has a nice selection of exciting games. Will come back!

Linda I.

Yelp
We ended up here completely unplanned and had a great time! We were in town to ski Mammoth and the day we got in, we decided to venture out on the shuttles to get groceries in town. Then wanted to get some food while we were out and stumbled upon Rock N Bowl, nearby. It's not a large bowling alley, but it works! We were able to get a lane right away (for 6), and had fun bowling. The alley has a nice French restaurant upstairs, which we thought was kind of random, but some of the food from upstairs was available to order down in the alley. That's how we ended up with pizzas and escargot. Can't say that I've ever seen escargot at a bowling alley before, and it was actually pretty good! Fun overall experience.

Yelp
The managing staff has been top tier. Front desk lady- needs a major check. The minute we walked in she had an attitude. I thought she was just having an off moment towards my husband. After an hour. I came back to ask about an empty lane. She told me she knows the person that reserved it and they will show up. So I still needed to wait. I am writing this because it's been 30 minutes and there is still no one on the lane.

Yelp
12 lane bowling alley. Fun for the entire family. Great arcade. Full service bar & food options.

Warren L.

Yelp
After reading the reviews we were hesitant about cost. When we got there they got us right in with no reservations. It was $20 bucks ea for 45 min. We got a couple games in and it included shoes. People were nice.

Nick G.

Yelp
Great place to eat in the mountains. Our server Eddie was phenomenal and was very informative. Ordered the carpaccio, clams, Caesar salad, and filet mignon. Everything was so amazing and delicious. The carpaccio and filet mignon was out of this world tasty. Cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Carrie U.

Yelp
Super fun for the kids after spending a day on the mountain. Loved the ease of everything and how fun it was!!

Kirsten P.

Yelp
The restaurant and bowling are a bit crammed but overall very neat and clean. The bar was stocked with a lot of options and their drinks were unique. I ordered a grapefruit drink that was a tad too sweet but along the lines of a greyhound. The food we ordered came out quickly but it seemed like there weren't enough people working there. The pizzas were tasty and we ordered smalls to taste - the artichoke pesto was really good! We will be back :)

Bob W.

Yelp
We were very pleased with this bowling alley, and we enjoyed such a pleasant atmosphere. The people were nice. The food was very good, and to tell the truth we were pleasantly surprised. Paula Abdul, a former Laker Girl would have been very proud of my wife's victory dance!

Cecile A.

Yelp
Super nice bowing alley. Clean seating areas with space to eat and drink while bowling. Had a great time with 7 players in our family. Rented a lane for 90min. Really decent food (for a bowling alley) and friendly service.

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Great service, great product, great fun! It's an annual tradition as we celebrate twin bdays.

Kathleen R.

Yelp
Love it here!! It's clean, smoke free, food is good and for the most part most employees are nice. Our bartender was great and the food comes out quickly even durning busy times! Not to be missed when busing Mammoth! Upstairs at the Brassiere is also a great find! You don't even know there's bowling downstairs it's that quiet and the views are amazing summer and winter!! One of our favs for sure!

Nate R.

Yelp
I wanted to have a fun night of bowling and fun with my family and it was ruined. The staff was very rude and didn't accommodate when they made a mistake. I don't bowl often but when I do I would not bowl here.

Evelyn H.

Yelp
Super fun evening either by itself or before dinner! Affordable bowling and drinks and fun atmosphere! Great for adults or families with children.

Natalia R.

Yelp
Bowling was fun but service was very rude. Will not recommend this place to my friends or my network. The lady at the front with dark brown hair, 18-25y old girl, consistently gave us a hard time and rude service. She also did not want to give us another round of bowling even though two lanes were open. We tried to gently tell her that service was rude and she said,"let me tell you something...". Then to my friend she said, " I'm not on the clock anymore so you approaching me is rude". Wow! Wowwwwww. We did not feel welcome even coming in. We got a call with a voicemail and when we approached her about it immediately she said in a negative tone yeah. I called twice. In a rude tone. We don't appreciate this after spending at least 150+ and the game. Not acceptable. I've lived everywhere and this was one of the worst service experiences I've had in the world.

Roger D.

Yelp
Super easy to reserve a lane online and pay for it. We were late and they were able to accommodate us. No problem McKenzie H was super kind and helped our five year old daughter get situated to play the game she was awesome. She deserves a cup of coffee, or a raise more importantly!

David F.

Yelp
I made a reservation on line as they suggest ..which is NOT a reservation, but a " REQUEST " they SAY walk ins welcome but do NOT TELL YOU ITS TWICE THE PRICE FOR WALK INS. we arrived and let the person know we made a reservation ( er..request) and was told sorry that's a 48 hours notice NOT $40 but TWICE for walk ins ..lTHEY HAD OPEN LANES SITTING AND AVAILABLE. we wanted to eat as well ( 4 of us $$$$ ) i cannot believe with open lanes and the fact I had done what I DO EVERY YEAR ....and they still would not budge off of the DOUBLE PRICE...so we left ( with our money) left a very bad taste in my mouth about ever wanting to go back...WHAT A SHAME and SHAME ON THEM .

Tanner M.

Yelp
Staff was extremely rude, especially bar tenders. Service was some of the worst I have ever seen at a bowling alley and they were extremely un-accommodated for my food allergies. They refused to help me and my family along with calling us obscenities and using foul language. Will never come back to mammoth again thanks to this experience.

Josh L.

Yelp
The place rocks! Perfect place to weather a storm. Bowling, darts, ping pong, foosball and more! Good drinks and clean environment. Easily killed 8 hours on a Sunday there.

George F.

Yelp
Food was horrible and bouncer called me a slur. Absolutely mortified will not be going back

Ash P.

Yelp
We almost didn't go due to recent negative reviews. I am glad we did go though as we received a great service and had a lot of fun at the arcade section although it was very crowded. The patrons were overwhelmingly white but the staff was very diverse representing different races, ethnicities and age groups PS: You need to make reservations to bowl especially during busy weeks.

l s.

Yelp
Super fun evening, all who worked there helpful and really nice. The ping pong table and dart board stole the show for our gang

Ann Y.

Yelp
BOWLING? GOLF?! ARCADE?! BOARD GAMES! FULL BAR?! FINE DINING?! Yes, yes, YES to it all! This place is amazing for families, for dates, group etc. I was surprised being a Mammoth visitor for almost 30 yrs we needed a place like Mammoth Rock. You can't tell from the outside but this place is full of activities! Kids can play arcades or bowl while the adults drink lol. They also have board games at the front desk. There's also 2 dart boards and smoking patio. Upstairs there's a French restaurant (delicious steaks and truffle goodness) that we had dinner at and was impressed. The chef knows how to cook! The crunchy sourdough bread basket is enough to rave about lol. GOLF CENTER is upstairs too. It's VIRTUAL GOLF with a screen you just rent by the hour $40 I think. Super fun for all ages! After snowboarding or hiking if you want to relax and grab a drink come here. Not many places you can take kids too in Mammoth. Awesome find!

Karl S.

Yelp
We came here with 2 families and had a great time bowling and playing ping pong. Pricing is a little high but given the location it was acceptable. The bowling lane is very modern and we had a lot of fun. The food is pretty good but prices were a little high. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

Judy W.

Yelp
This is the second time here and they did not dissapoint again! I had some difficulty calling and making the reservation for seven (no online reservation for more than 6). I just kept getting cut off, bad connection, but they ended up texting me, brillant !!! We were able to complete the reservation. As far as the food, everything was delicious! We started with the carpaccio, daily special Ahi poke, and the escargot, fanatastic!!! Loved their bread! Enjoyed the French onion soup! We got the scallops, daily special rib eye steak and Halibut, and the lamb chops. Nothing dissapointed. We finished with a yummy cream brulee and received the peach sorbet for the birthday candle. Have referred our friends who have reported they were not disappointed either. Great, friendly service! We will be back.

Marisa M.

Yelp
Super cool spot to hang out, but horrible service! We came here with a group of 20 people, and got afew tables near the game/arcade area. It's a really fun environment, and we were able to keep our group entertained. They even have free board games/card games at the front desk that you can ask for. My problem here was the lack of service. For being such a large bar/restaurant, you would think that they would be prepared for large groups. We only had one server helping our group, and you could tell he wasn't prepared. It took an hour for our food to come out after we ordered, and when they brought out the plates, they didn't know which plate belonged where. It was complete chaos. The food was kinda pricey, and in my opinion was just average bar food.

Rhia H.

Yelp
A nice place to take the kids. It has ping pong and other games to. For 45 mins it's $20 a person for adults . A full bar and restaurant upstairs.

Ben Y.

Yelp
I reserved 2 hrs of bowling for a Thursday from 8 to 10 pm. We (a group of Asians) were having fun bowling when our lanes closed at 9:30. We assumed the bowling alley was closing, but the lights just turned off and the strobe lights came on. Everyone (all white people) remained bowling and partying at their lanes as the workers hovered over us as if to escort us out 30 mins before the alley even closed. To say the least, we felt very discriminated against. It seemed like we were forced out due to 'not fitting in' with the local demographic. I visit mammoth very frequently and this was the first time I felt unwelcome for not 'looking' like I fit in.

Jane L.

Yelp
Best ever. All around. Owner is amazing, manager is amazing. Service is awesome. Food is SO good. So happy this place exists!

Shawn O.

Yelp
This place is cool. Tons of stuff for the kids to do in addition to bowling. Best indoor place in mammoth.

Paul R.

Yelp
Five stars just isn't enough! We thought we'd drop-in, have a glass wine and, maybe, bowl a few frames. Instead we enjoyed the company on the back patio, the great view and received exceptional service. Later, we got talking with Stephan, the manager, and learned more of what Rock 'N Bowl had to offer. The gourmet restaurant, upstairs, caught our attention and we decided to return the next night. But don't let the name "Rock 'N Bowl" dissuade you. Not only is it a great place to have fun, but Stephan was right, their restaurant was phenomenal! The restaurant has an eclectic, continental menu and everything we tried was absolutely off the chain. Couple the 5-star food with a 5-star wine list and you've got something to truly behold. Lastly, service was outstanding! Our server, Eddie, was not only the consummate professional, but he was exceedingly pleasant as well! And later we learned, he's also one hell of a trout fishermen! Overall, both upstairs and down, we had a great time. Stephan had our backs at the bar and Eddie checked all the boxes upstairs. I'd highly recommend Rock 'N Bowl. Go there, bowl a few, play some bocce or horseshoes out back and enjoy the great service and fun! Then, take in the restaurant. You will not regret it!

Yelp
First, I am going to review the bowling part of our visit. We got there an hour after they opened on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't any wait for the lanes so my advice is to go early because I hear that the wait times get really long in the evening. We paid about $16 per person to bowl for an hour - not cheap compared to the lanes that we go in our own town. But, hey, we're on vacation, right? It's cold outside and we need the kids not to be on their phones so bowling sounds like fun. About 20 minutes into our bowling time, the computer on our lane breaks down so they give us a new lane and starts our time over. The rest of the bowling time went smoothly - not in our scores but in our experience. So, thank you! Bowling experience gets 5 stars. Now, let's talk food. We ordered the French onion soup which was very good. I also got the Ahi Tuna Salad which was okay. Luckily most of the people in our group were not too hungry because the portion sizes are on the small size. Not worth the price. Service was good. Our server was attentive. Food gets three stars - hence the average rating of 4 stars.

Yelp
Mammoth Rock & Bowl is amazing! We just hosted our son's wedding there this weekend. The owner was easy to work with, responsive & fulfilled all of our plans & more! The staff was top shelf, friendly & accommodating. If you need event space in Mammoth this is it! Thank MRB staff for the exceptional service!

Sokhorn N.

Yelp
Mammoth is considered a tourist attraction. Being from out of town and wanting to find activities to occupy the kids we decided on bowling. My oldest which is 18 took the kids ranging from 4 - 17 bowling here at this establishment. The moment they stepped into the building management had eyes on them. Not only 1 but 3 grown men from the establishment stood there making the kids feel uncomfortable and out of place. Mind you our kids are of mixed race ranging from Asian to Hispanics.

Melody B.

Yelp
This is such a great bowling alley. We have been coming here for several years on our trips up to Mammoth Lakes. The technology is amazing and really makes the game more fun. There is a nice bar area and food service as well. A real treat and fun for the whole family.

Garrett P.

Yelp
extremely rude staff and bartenders. over priced everything. not worth the money. would be out of business if it wasn't is mammoth. I wish i could give 0 stars

Ali B.

Yelp
Decided to stop in here with my family for our last night in Mammoth Lakes. There were no bowling lanes available, but that was ok, we decided just to eat and play at the arcade. It was a Monday night but they were pretty busy. The slowness, missing silverware and forgotten French fries were forgivable. I wasn't upset by it because I knew it was a busy night and everything doesn't have to be perfect all of the time. What really upset me was the way I was treated when I tried to pay my bill and leave. I had to wait at the bar to pay for my food. It wasn't too crowded at the bar, but the 4 people behind the bar looked pretty busy. I waited for what felt like a long time, unnoticed, as people around me were helped. I asked a woman if she could help me close out my tab as she was making drinks in front of me and she told me with attitude that she wasn't going to help me. She was doing other things and wouldn't be closing my tab for me, someone else would. I waited longer... people next to me that came after me were helped. They were ordering food and drinks and I interrupted saying I'd been there a long time and just needed to close my tab. The bar tender - the same one that took my order and forgot items- rolled his eyes at me. I told him I was sorry but I had been there longer than them and just really needed to pay for my food and leave. He laughed in my face. A bar back verified that I'd been there a long time waiting before those people and the rude bartender laughed again, gave me a look as if he could care less about helping me a paying customer, and begrudgingly got my credit card and gave me my credit card slip. I know I am a tourist and from out of town but isnt that the demographic this place is catering to? They just really didn't care about my business or the way they were treating me. If you're busy that's okay but maybe kindly and respectfully speak to customers without attitude. I would never go back to this place, nor recommend it to anyone. Businesses and people in the customer service industry should treat their customers well. It was upsetting to be treated that way, I won't be giving this place any more business. The decision if you want to, is yours.

Kristine I.

Yelp
Came with family and really enjoyed the atmosphere. New bowling alley with great, fast service. All 12 lanes working well. Very clean. Sitting area large and not crammed. Nice bar for drinks. Small arcade area available as well.

Alec V.

Yelp
Horrible service. Kids running the bowling lanes. They tel you they have reservations but when you call the tell you it's walk in only. Lanes are open for an hour and say you can't use them. Makes no sense. Horrible front desk service

Ryan M.

Yelp
Bartender is too busy studying for his GED instead being behind the bar. When he finally gets behind the bar he didn't wash his hands and put his dirty hands all over the rim of all the glasses. He was very rude, no class or manners. But hey it's probably because we interrupted his GED studying. He's bound to set the world on fire.

Anna S.

Yelp
What a fantastic local place! Modern, fun, outstanding food and entertainment for the whole family. Can't say enough about service, friendly staff and relaxing fun atmosphere.

Rey G.

Yelp
The staff here goes above and beyond. They are firm believers in good vibes and karma. Allow me to explain. I was on a weekend trip to Mammoth with my son. We were killing time at the bowling alley while waiting for a table to open up at the Brasserie upstairs. We went upstairs to hang out in the lounge and I left my wallet downstairs where we were hanging out! (yikes.) By the time I realized I misplaced my wallet at least 20-30 minutes had elapsed. I know all of you that have done this, especially when you're out of town, that there is probably no worse feeling of dread and panic. Only losing track of your kid in a crowded area comes close for you parents. I sent my son to look around to where we were hanging out, but he forgot to ask the staff, so I ran downstairs, and went to the rental counter. I asked 'Has anyone turned in a wallet?' Stephan the manager said, 'Yeah, I looked you up on Facebook called you and sent you a message. Frances is actually the one that found your wallet and turned it in.' I was and am sooooooo extremely grateful for their honestly and going the extra mile to ensure my weekend wasn't ruined. Chatting with him later while waiting for my Lyft, he told me that the entire Mammoth community thrives on good vibes and karma, and I quote, 'If you're going to lose anything, like your wallet, keys or phone, this is the best place to do it.' Indeed

Will F.

Yelp
Good servers, pretty good bowling', literally the worst bartenders on the planet like unbelievably awful if you have a vagina you will get served if you don't you won't even get talked to or looked at in the eye and when you order something you better be there to make sure you tell them how to make it otherwise it will be all screwed up. good luck and Godspeed

Irene L.

Yelp
Mountain was closed today so we came to bowl and were put on the waitlist, got an estimate of 1.5 hours wait. We also asked for our party of six to be split up into two lanes, she said they would do their best. We saw they had games for rental and a full bar so we were fine with hanging out. We put down my name, number and number of people in the party and rented a game. Took an average of 10 minutes to flag down a bartender (always missing?) and get a drink. And hour and a half later, my boyfriend went to pay $10 for ping pong to kill more time and said he noticed my name partially crossed off on the list. I went up and walked past half of the empty lanes and the apathetic lady at the front said someone came and said their name was Irene and took our lane. We asked for a refund on the ping pong, which we weren't going to play anymore if we could get a lane, and she said she didn't do refunds. We asked for the two lanes and she said they were at capacity. We played our hour and we were still sitting next to two full empty lanes, where the other five on the other side of us didn't fill up until 45 min in. They ask for your names at the front to input into the screen. We saw a group of three with an Irene in one of the lanes with only three people. What is the point of me putting down so much info if they won't cross check it? If there was a lane open, they should have texted me. Wish we hadn't wasted so much time there-we wouldn't even had known had we not gone up and asked. Disappointing experience! Bad attitudes, slow service. Also, they claim that one lane can accommodate eight people, but the benches only fit 4.

Jackie D.

Yelp
This year was the first time bowling here! We've come to Mammoth every year and always heard about the bowling ally and how nice it is so we finally decided to check it out and we had a blast! We had about 28 people bowling on 4 lanes. The bowling alley is new and modern with great music and lighting. The cost was around $100 an hour for each lane. The bowling shoes looked new and clean and they offered a wide selection of bowling balls. Interactive screens track each players face and game stats. The drinks are good and the food was tasty. We had several different kinds of pizza that the group shared. The golf simulator upstairs was a hit too with our group. The staff provided excellent service and was very friendly and attentive. We had a few technical issues on the bowling lane but nothing out of the ordinary and the staff fixed things quickly. The place is clean and has a nice décor. We all enjoyed the night and had a great experience! Super fun place that will be our new stop when in town. Make a reservation to get your group a set time and enough available lanes. I would highly recommend this venue on your next visit to Mammoth.

Water B.

Yelp
Can some other business owner please open a indoor space for family fun. This bowling alley is going down hill. No one responds to online requests. No one answers the phone after multiple calls. Finally show up and get a lane. $100 for an hour. No service for food at the lane at all. And no one wearing masks. The workers wearing masks like beards around their chins - this isn't acceptable. Most patrons don't even fake wearing a mask. So a crowded indoor venue with hardly any compliant mask wearing staff or patrons touching everything in a town with the smallest hospital I have ever seen. Bringing people from all over in one area. Best of luck. We left after 25 min And lost our money. But maybe they can use it to buy some masks.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Amazing service, great food and lovely atmosphere. So happy to have discovered this place! Will be returning.

Lucas P.

Yelp
Possibly the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Is there a separate kitchen/chef from the brassiere because that pizza was really bad! No diaper changing table in men's room. Bowling was fun. Beer was cold.
