Went there end of april with my group of buddies. To be honest, if you’re looking for a nice, clean, and pretty place to dine in Ho Chi Minh, then Man Moi is a good choice. The interior is modern and the ambiance is definitely one of the highlights. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a quiet meal in a beautiful setting. But when it comes to the food, I personally found it quite average. It looks good on the plate, but the taste didn’t really stand out. Nothing bad, but nothing that made me go wow either. If you’re going for the food alone, there are definitely better spots around the city that offer more flavor and authenticity. They also have a souvenir section in the same space, but honestly, the prices felt a bit on the higher side. If you’re planning to do some proper souvenir shopping, I’d suggest heading to Ben Thanh Market instead. You’ll find a wider variety and better deals there, especially if you’re open to bargaining. Overall, Man Moi is worth a visit for the atmosphere, maybe for a coffee or light meal, but not a must-try for the food or last minute souvenir shopping.

Just a heads up, this restaurant does not serve service water. So if you’re willing to spend some extra bucks in this restaurant just to experience it, you can give it a try. Great ambiance but it does the live up the hype. I don’t know why reviews are high for something that felt like a tourist trap… Ordered a lot of dishes and overall is average and pricey. One dish that we ordered is chicken tamarind hotpot and the chicken is dry and chewy. Complained about it and received apology. For a dish that expensive, we would have expected it to be really good. However, the foods served didn’t live up to our expectation. There were a lot of misses instead of hits. Sadly, we will not come back to this restaurant if we visit again in Saigon. We would have preferred to try a different restaurant instead.

Is this place nice? Yes. Will I ever come back again? No. Let me tell you why but let’s start with the positive. The friendly staff is super attentive and quick with action. The exterior and interior is quite aesthetic. The experience from entering to sitting was nice. The meals were well presented. Temperature indoor was decent and the restaurant itself is very clean. The food taste okay. I expected more for the value. The worst part is the western pricing for the dish but it’s what you have to pay when you want a clean air conditioned location. On average, the dishes are about 3-4 times what you would pay at a local restaurant. It’s a great location if you’re a germaphobe because of how clean it is. Even for someone like me who wastes money every day felt terrible about how much I was spending for mediocre dishes. I can tell that the ingredients they used are good but the cooking technique and seasoning need a little more help. For the price, I expected more elevation. Maybe one day I’ll be back and hopefully there’s some change.

I had a really enjoyable visit here! The food was delicious and you can tell a lot of thought goes into their creative menu—there were plenty of interesting options that made choosing tough in the best way. The vibe was friendly and the staff did their best, though we did have to wait a bit longer than expected for our meals. Still, the flavors and fresh ideas in the dishes made it worthwhile. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for something tasty and a little different, just be prepared for a possible wait during busy times. I use ez reviews to create this.

Stopped by for lunch, after shopping for gift shop at their lower level (same building). We did not make any reservations, but the staff were very informative and friendly about our waiting. The staff spoken in both Vietnamese and English, so this is a plus for tourists and travelers. The menu is a good representation of Vietnamese food. Their food was okay for me, not too great and not bad either. Their prices are in a higher range, which was expected for the location and esthetic. The decoration and architectural were the main reasons for me to visited this place, so I did not expect much about their food and drinks. It’s the small details that made me happy, from their straws to their containers, those small items were very familiar to my memory of Old- Vietnamese (i grew up in the countryside). It’s a good place for people who want to know or experience “Vietnamese” in a tailored way. I may be back for the experience, but not for the food.

Man Moi has a stunning facade and interior—very inviting and gives off a great first impression. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends. We ordered 6 dishes, and only 3 stood out: the Mackerel, Shrimp with Pork Belly, and Grilled Squid. These were the only ones our group of 7 agreed were worth ordering again. The rest fell flat. The Spinach was a complete letdown—I’d rate it a 0 if I could. It tasted like raw grass and they might as well leave the soil in it. There was no seasoning or garlic whatsoever. It was so unappetizing that no one touched it after the first bite. The Eel Sausage was dry and oddly seasoned—a hit-or-miss dish that most of us didn’t enjoy. The Duck was okay, but definitely not memorable or a must-try. Service was another low point. The staff were inattentive; I had to repeat my requests multiple times to get anything done. To make matters worse, we were mistakenly charged three times for a single drink. While we should have double-checked the bill, it’s ultimately the restaurant’s responsibility to enter orders correctly. All in all, Man Moi is nice to try once, but we won’t be returning.

Mặn Mòi is probably the best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever tried. It's pretty simple yet a bit different, but executed to perfection. It's not too sweet like it often is in South Vietnam. Very well-balanced! The pork was incredible! So good that had you told me it was Pata Negra, I really would have believed you! It was pork cheeks... The fried fish was simple but all deboned and individually fried for you. Bones are the worst part of eating fried fish in Vietnam. Here, I couldn't stop eating... Absolutely all the sauces had a little something special that made them exceptionally good! In short, I was expecting nothing special but came out thoroughly impressed! It's nothing over-the-top but this is what perfection looks like! I don't know who the executive chef is but bravo!
