Where to Eat in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

"A contemporary yet traditionally rooted restaurant with multiple locations that elevates homestyle Vietnamese dishes—think fried rolls, grilled meats, and comforting soups—presented artfully within a lush, tropical-leaning dining room that suits date nights; an on-site boutique also sells locally made candles, oils, teas, and other artisan goods." - Dan Q. We ordered the three-way appetizer, fried spring rolls, and beef vermicelli. The food was pretty delicious—flavorful and satisfying, though not exactly mind-blowing. That said, the ambiance is great, and the menu offers a wide variety of options. Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a nice spot with solid food and good atmosphere.

Such an awesome spot! Beautiful architecture, kind and inviting staff, and SO many delicious dishes!!! I try to take pictures of food when I travel, but I genuinely kept forgetting at this restaurant because the food and service was so fantastic! My favourite dish was the pork skewer, and the pandan wrapped fried chicken. We had an awesome server who taught us about the significance and culture behind their dishes. That being said - try the ant salt pork! Don’t knock it till you try it, and ask questions!!! They were so knowledgeable and kind. I can’t wait to come back here another day (:

Went there end of april with my group of buddies. To be honest, if you’re looking for a nice, clean, and pretty place to dine in Ho Chi Minh, then Man Moi is a good choice. The interior is modern and the ambiance is definitely one of the highlights. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a quiet meal in a beautiful setting. But when it comes to the food, I personally found it quite average. It looks good on the plate, but the taste didn’t really stand out. Nothing bad, but nothing that made me go wow either. If you’re going for the food alone, there are definitely better spots around the city that offer more flavor and authenticity. They also have a souvenir section in the same space, but honestly, the prices felt a bit on the higher side. If you’re planning to do some proper souvenir shopping, I’d suggest heading to Ben Thanh Market instead. You’ll find a wider variety and better deals there, especially if you’re open to bargaining. Overall, Man Moi is worth a visit for the atmosphere, maybe for a coffee or light meal, but not a must-try for the food or last minute souvenir shopping.

I had a really enjoyable visit here! The food was delicious and you can tell a lot of thought goes into their creative menu—there were plenty of interesting options that made choosing tough in the best way. The vibe was friendly and the staff did their best, though we did have to wait a bit longer than expected for our meals. Still, the flavors and fresh ideas in the dishes made it worthwhile. Would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for something tasty and a little different, just be prepared for a possible wait during busy times. I use ez reviews to create this.

Just a heads up, this restaurant does not serve service water. So if you’re willing to spend some extra bucks in this restaurant just to experience it, you can give it a try. Great ambiance but it does the live up the hype. I don’t know why reviews are high for something that felt like a tourist trap… Ordered a lot of dishes and overall is average and pricey. One dish that we ordered is chicken tamarind hotpot and the chicken is dry and chewy. Complained about it and received apology. For a dish that expensive, we would have expected it to be really good. However, the foods served didn’t live up to our expectation. There were a lot of misses instead of hits. Sadly, we will not come back to this restaurant if we visit again in Saigon. We would have preferred to try a different restaurant instead.

This restaurant came highly recommended, however we felt quite disappointed. Presentation was good. But The food came out cold or lukewarm except the spring rolls which were delicious and beef from regional platter. Lots of options weren't available. Mango and passionfruit lacked taste. Additionally recommended for vegetarians, unsure if i missed something but there was a lack of non meat options? The service didn't meet our expectation. We were told to not order as much, which is a kindness to not over order however we probably did need that extra bit of food. Also they weren't the most attentive. For what was supposed to be an advised, high scored trip advisor restaurant, it didn't meet this title nor the price tag.

Man Moi has a stunning facade and interior—very inviting and gives off a great first impression. Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends. We ordered 6 dishes, and only 3 stood out: the Mackerel, Shrimp with Pork Belly, and Grilled Squid. These were the only ones our group of 7 agreed were worth ordering again. The rest fell flat. The Spinach was a complete letdown—I’d rate it a 0 if I could. It tasted like raw grass and they might as well leave the soil in it. There was no seasoning or garlic whatsoever. It was so unappetizing that no one touched it after the first bite. The Eel Sausage was dry and oddly seasoned—a hit-or-miss dish that most of us didn’t enjoy. The Duck was okay, but definitely not memorable or a must-try. Service was another low point. The staff were inattentive; I had to repeat my requests multiple times to get anything done. To make matters worse, we were mistakenly charged three times for a single drink. While we should have double-checked the bill, it’s ultimately the restaurant’s responsibility to enter orders correctly. All in all, Man Moi is nice to try once, but we won’t be returning.

Very nice place. The moment your walk in, it's a souvenir shop. We're especially interested to try their fruit wine, apricot, lotus or the passion fruit. The restaurant also serve them. We ordered the apricot wine in the restaurant. The flavours were strong and taste something like ume flavours. Food wise, everything was good. But we find the roast chicken quite tough to chew.
