Managua Inn

Very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, during our stay, a friend of ours was subjected to homophobic behavior by the hotel owner. In the 21st century, this kind of attitude is unacceptable and deeply upsetting. Hospitality should be based on respect, inclusion, and professionalism, regardless of a guest’s sexual orientation or identity. Sadly, this was not the case here. No guest should ever feel uncomfortable, judged, or disrespected while staying at a hotel. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this property and would strongly advise others to consider places where all guests are treated with dignity and equality.

The WORST HOSTEL I ever stayed in, during my 10 month travel and I would not recommend anyone staying at this hostel. Unfortunately, our experience was quite unpleasant due to the behavior of the AMERICAN owner Bob. After checking out, we left our bags in the communal area for 2 hours while we went out in the city. when we came back to the hostel, the owner started screaming at us, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. To make matters worse, he forced us to pay $15 just for leaving our bags there, even though it was never mentioned anywhere that staying at the hostel or leaving the bags after check out time was prohibited. We were shocked by both his aggressive attitude and the unexpected charge. A simple, respectful reminder would have sufficed, but instead, we were met with hostility and unfair demands. Traveling should feel safe and enjoyable, and this experience left us feeling shaken and disappointed.

Was immediately greeted with a smile and made to feel comfortable by the night worker, Aaron. He gave us great recommendations and helped out with any questions we had. What a great first introduction to Nicaraguan hospitality! Stayed in a shared dorm room which was very minimal, also stayed in #4 private room which was very nice and a very good deal.

If there was another cheap option nearby, I'd use it. The location is fab, the hostel mediocre. The sheets were stained and Bob is difficult to say the least. The staff are lovely.

If I could leave 0 stars for all the Above I would. Terrible customer service and the must unwelcome place I have ever been to . we just asked for the WI-FI to look at other Accommodation because you were sold out after turning up asking for a room ! Would recommend definitely looking at other accommodation.

We entered to ask the prices and the guy at the reception was extremely rude to us. No clue if he was the owner or just a staff member, but while we were discussing between ourselves if we wanted to stay or not (18$ for a dormbed is definitely not affordable for a lot of people) he started pressuring us and then said the price is for security reasons. Seeing the amount of robberies reported in the place I guess there's not much security at the end. We decided not to stay, mainly for the rude treatment by the guy at the reception. I suggest they get better staff or work towards improving their behavior instead of replying to every bad review they get, maybe the quality of the service will improve.

I was here for a few days, really nice and clean, good security, the owners were very friendly and helpful. It’s a very quiet chill place but in a central location close to restaurants etc. I would totally say here again for couple days!

Had a great time at this hostel. I stayed in a private room that had AC and hot water. I was able to do my laundry here too. Many reviews mention being stuck here from 11pm-9am, but I think the systems have changed. I was shown how to buzz myself out and offered a key to use during the hours the front desk was unmanned. I'm a quiet person and appreciated the calm atmosphere. Everyone who worked here was helpful and kind. I'll definitely return during future trips to Managua.
