Managua Hills Bed and Breakfast

Really liked this place. It’s located in a great area, super fresh courtyard, and the rooms are pretty nice. One of the best showers I’ve had in Nicaragua! Hot water on demand, and incredible water pressure. All for an affordable price. Would definitely return just for the shower. Everything was great.

If your looking for a family style of threatening and feeling like being outside the city without the need to do so. This is the place, Great location, great stuff and great breakfast!! Enjoy your staying

The staff here were great. Breakfast was very simple, but hit the spot. My son loved the pancakes. I would have liked maybe some fruit or even cut veggies, but the bread was fresh and eggs well cooked. Coffee, hot, and tasty. The pool was clean. Gardens are nice. You don't feel like you're in a city atmosphere at all. I feel like the rooms could use a coat of paint, but with anything in this environment, it needs to be constantly maintained. Rooms were clean and cute. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are perfect. Smoking hot water in the shower 🚿 😌 I would absolutely stay here again.

Very tranquil and nice. Good pool, good breakfast included. Room was clean, AC worked well. The staff, Franklin and Ever were very nice and even provided a taxi service and advice. They also sell very cold beer cheap if you want to bring a couple up to your room. Wifi worked well. It's not luxury, so don't judge it by that. They do take credit cards for room payment. I thought I was going to have to pay cash. If you're looking for a calm place to stay, this would be it. And if you have kids who want to play in a pool, this would be very good and very safe. It is a bit remote, a taxi driver had a hard time finding it taking me back from downtown, so pay attention when you leave the property for the day so you can help, it's off the beaten path. You can walk to a nearby outdoor food truck area (opens at 4 or 5 pm) and a convenience store, but other than that, not so much. The airport taxi charged $25 to get there. If you want to be in the heart of Managua, this isn't it. If you want to get away to some place quiet and don't mind getting a ride into the city or to the airport or bus terminal, you have no worries. You have to be patient with the hot water in the shower, one day it never got hot. It wasn't freezing, but it was a quick shower, lol. The staff members were great, but you should probably know some Spanish. We kind of spoke "Spanglish," all of us doing our best.

This B&B is located in a very quiet neighborhood. They provide safe parking. The garden and pool area is flush with plant life. It's like an oasis in the city. The rooms are clean and equipped with comfortable bedding and good AC units. The water is hot and has great pressure. Good wifi. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is usually gallo pinto with some eggs and good, strong coffee. I'd like to see some queso added to the menu, but that's just me. There is a trendy food park nearby with several good options, including artensenal beer. I have stayed here a couple of different times, and I will stay here again. I recommend that you stay too.

We always stay at Managua Hills when coming or leaving. It is consistently clean and the staff is always very welcoming. This trip was a little different as we were 3 Canadian couples from Nicaragua, wanting a safe place to meet up and enjoy each others company during the pandemic. The owner, Young--went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He even set up a huge fan to keep us cool while we chatted for hours in the common areas. The pool is lovely and the included breakfast was once again perfect. I highly recommend the pancakes. The rooms were all spacious and clean which is all I really require from a hotel room. At first glance, I was unsure of the bed but it was so comfortable and everyone had a great sleep. The only issue was a slight hiccup with the hot water, but it was hot out anyways so no one really minded. That is not usually a problem so perhaps it was related to the storm.

What a GREAT place for such an ECONOMIC, BEAUTIFUL, AND RELAXING stay!!! This is my second stay in the last few years and each time I have been super pleased. It is family owned and all the staff is treated super well by the owner. They are the same staff as two years ago, too. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. If you thought the price for the stay was already a great deal, a full, fresh breakfast is included and there is a large pool to enjoy and sunbathe afterwards. Trust me, you won't regret coming here!!!

Why pay 100 US for a brand name hotel when you can have a better experience here for $40. About 15 rooms, two storey, private, very quiet and about a $10 taxi to downtown core/buses/airport. Free breakfast, coffee, and all day drinks available. No lunch, dinner served but a plaza with a variety of fast food. The chicken wing /ribs place has good food. Also, Eji ( a Peruvian 4 star ) and Porter Steaks (4 star) restaurants 300 meter walk excellent dining experiences. Superb, friendly and helpful staff, family run business. Highly recommended.
