Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

I cannot begin to tell you how much we have enjoyed staying at the Ritz Mandapa Reserve. From 3-4 weeks prior to arrival, the team began their communication with me, ensuring that each day was carefully planned to suit our wishes and needs. As this is a property that’s on the river, I wanted for my husband and I to spend some time enjoying the hotel as well as spend time sightseeing. The staff made sure I received an equal amount of attention while on property and off. Our butler Jeje was nothing but helpful with all of our requests and constant changing of plans. I wanted to make sure we were able to experience as much of what the hotel had to offer as possible and Jeje helped me to achieve that. From ironing our clothes, to making photography reservations, to schedule spa appointments and changing dinner times around at the onsite restaurants, she was SO accommodating and that made me feel so important. I am a busy mother of 5 with a full time job and for someone to make it their full time job to attend to my needs for a change was the best experience I could have asked for. The location was just unreal. We got the Strand Villa Riverview and I could not imagine a better room. This is a must see and experience hotel. I will be recommending to all my friends and family. Thank you Ritz for making this a truly memorable trip for my husband and I.

Our stay at Mandapa was nothing short of amazing. After a long drive from the airport through Bali’s heavy traffic, stepping into the serene beauty of Mandapa felt like entering another world. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery, rice fields, and the peaceful Ayung River—an absolute paradise.||One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the incredible service. Our personal butler, Meech, took care of every detail with warmth and care. From organizing activities to small thoughtful touches in our villa, he made us feel completely at home. Every staff member we met was just as kind and attentive, always greeting us with a smile.||The food was excellent too. We enjoyed delicious meals at the resort’s restaurants— Amber, Kubu, and Sawah Terrace, each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The service was smooth and thoughtful, with staff always ready to accommodate any request.||Mandapa is the perfect retreat from the busy world. Huge thanks to Meech and the entire team for making our stay so memorable—we can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at Mandapa with our 2 kids and it was absolutely magical. The villa was stunning, with a private pool and peaceful jungle views. The food was delicious and beautifully presented at every meal.|The spa was a true sanctuary – relaxing and serene. But the highlight was our butler, Nessa, who went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. She made our stay truly special, especially for little Alma. |Mandapa is not just a resort – it’s an experience we’ll always remember. Thank you for everything!

We're so glad to have spent part of our honeymoon at Mandapa. The resorts itself is beautiful - well maintained, spacious despite peak season, and beautiful (and large) rooms. What's more is the incredible service - everyone from our personal patih (butler) to all of the restaurant and spa staff were incredible friendly and knowledgeable.||Special shoutout to our Stevie, our patih, who always welcomed us with a friendly smile and really went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. After asking about a favorite dessert of ours, we were surprised to come back to our room that night with it already prepared and waiting for us! And not only once from the resort restaurant, but a second time from a favorite location of ours that we didn't have to go to ourselves.||Another shoutout to Nila, who made the best jamu for us each of the two breakfasts we had at the resort. The breakfast at Mandapa is incredible!

This resort is exceptional, one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The photos simply don’t do it justice. The villas are spacious and designed to blend with the natural surroundings.||We felt genuinely welcomed by the entire team. A special thank you to Dewa, our wonderful butler, who made our stay unforgettable, Sawitri for her warm hospitality during breakfast, and Delia from Kubu Restaurant for her excellent service.||The resort offers a variety of dining options, and every meal we had was delicious. If we return to Bali, there’s no doubt we’ll be staying here again!

We enjoyed a beautiful stay at Mandapa. The service was top notch and we have to give our thanks to many of the staff who made it possible. Our Patih, Meech, who was so kind and was so attentive to small details. He noticed my shoes were soaked after the river rafting and sent it for laundry and I got my shoes dry on the same day itself ! All these small little things/worries settled on autopilot. ||Our guides for river rafting (Torres), photographer (Eka) and our rice paddy farming instructor were all brilliant. All in all, a fantastic experience and unforgettable experience made possible by the great staff who run the place.

Family of 3 from Boston, with 12yo. First trip to Indonesia and Bali. Celebrating 22year anniversary, stayed 3nites and 4 days. Unbelievable and special experience since the moment we arrived. The service is at a different world class level. We were greeted by the general manager at our arrival. After a short ceremony, where he personally tied our string bracelet, we were guided to our room via buggy (long golf cart) by our personal butler, Stevie. Our suite was prepared ahead of time, and we found a welcoming message on the floor arranged with flower petals. We asked for upgrade and were provided with a riverside pool villa at a small incremental cost. Due to availability we got that for 2nites, but actually ended up staying for all 3 nites which was amazing. Thank you Stevie ! The experience staying here is surreal. Think of being at a deserted jungle or island, yet at the touch of whatsapp everything is arranged: entertainment, meals, experiences, etc. For those seeking escape from hustle and bustle this is unreal stay. The only time you get to see other guests are during restaurant visits or activities. 5.5 hectares of land with just 60 rooms of which 25 are private villas. We stayed the entire 4 days in the resort. Not once we felt we were missing out on anything. There are tons of programs and activities, including cooking classes, Balinese wine making master classes, yoga, rafting, spa, etc. The restaurants are exceptionally fine as expected. The quality of food is just incredible. Rivals Michelin starred restaurants which we visited several around the world. On our final night we dined at Kubu and had the champagne course meal. Just exceptional. As a runner, I had wanted to run the grounds or outside but the grounds were too short and outside was not recommended due to traffic and road conditions. That said the fitness gym totally makes it up. Latest model TechnoGym equipments. As we checked out, Stevie picked us up from our villa back to lobby where we had another small ceremony, and a small parting gift. Thank you Stevie, GM and the staff for providing us with such an unforgettable memories. We will come back again.

I stayed here for 5 days. Every hotel after this will probably feel like a disappointment because it’s THAT good. Service is excellent. Food is incredible. You have so many different activities and pools that you never get bored. Every view in the hotel is stunning. Honestly speechless. Can only recommend!
