Mandarin Lodge is in a fantastic location. You are surrounded by great little restaurants and it’s an easy, pleasant walk to the Pier Market. The room itself was good—very spacious with a Smart TV. Being right across the road from the beach for a quick swim is a massive plus! ​The Setup: Just a heads-up for future guests: the main area with the pool is great, but my Sea View room was about a 60m walk up the road from the main building. It wasn't an issue for me, but good to know for accessibility. ​The Not-so-Good: While the room looked great, the "sleep and shower" experience could be improved. I found the bed and pillows quite uncomfortable, and the shower setup wasn't ideal.

The location is great. I didn't have contact with the staff apart from 5 minutes check-in. They seemed kind. The room was clean and well equipped, 2 towels, 1 soap, water every day and clean bedsheets. The AC was OK. I was in room 27 and it was very noisy due to the fact that there are no walls between the rooms, just a thin wood. Which means that you hear all the conversations and activities of the neighbors just as if they were in your room. The guy in one room was snoring and coughing, the other couple had a discussion. All after midnight until 3 AM. There are people who get home late from the bars and carry on the conversations in front of their rooms, often accompanied by a beer and cigarettes. So it's difficult to sleep. It's not the owner's fault, but s/he could write a notice in each room that neighbours should be respected after 10 or 11 P.M. or something like that. Apart from this, it could be a good place. Maybe if you are in a other room, it's a completely different story.

I stayed for 3 nights. The room was far from my expectations. The furniture was old and in need of repair, my TV didn't work and there was no option to do any work in the room as there was no desk or table. The weird thing was the washbasin wasn't in the bathroom it was in the bedroom, and there was no mirror meaning having a shave was a challenge. The rooms are located about 80m up the road from reception and swimming pool and are located above a bar/restaurant. I paid 3,270B for the room and breakfast wasn't included but in my honest opinion I have stayed in much better hotels for the same or less money. The room was clean, the view was nice as I overlooked the sea and the bed was nice and comfortable. The Aircon was good and cleaning/room service good. The stay was okay but I wouldn't return.

I absolutely love this place . Great location and staff . 2 bottles of water left at your door every day . Lovely little pool area which is big enough to chill out . Love the decor and ornaments in the communal area - Very oriental. I will be returning. . Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay

Rooms give off a traditional chinese vibe even though they might not be the cleanest. The area is nice.

Lovely little Lodge with a pool, bar and good location! Rooms were nice with aircon, we had a living room area too. Drinking water provided daily. Rooms could have been a little more clean however, lots of dust everywhere.

The sweetest woman in the reception helped me carry my very heavy suitcase from the 4th floor🤭
