THANK YOU MANDIRA'S KITCHEN TEAM ! My car broke down close to restaurant and shop, so whilst waiting in the hot sun for the AA man, I popped in to use their loo. Greeted by Claire, Cara and Dan I was immediately welcomed in to take shelter from the heat, to rest at a lovely table in the shade by a stunning little lake! They served me ice cold water and fresh Samosa's, hot from the oven. They were so so generous AND SO KIND - and their food was DELICIOUS! They warmed my soul 💖 They even gave me a couple of Samosas to give the AA man. I live not too far away and have now discovered the most stunning and perfect place to take guests for lunch, they even have wheelchair access for my mum to sit by the lake, so I am going back for sure! Fantastic shop too and freezer meals all made by them! Thank you Claire, Cara and Dan for your kindness, your hospitality and for turning a really bad day into something really very special xxx

A big thank you to Mandiras and her team for a memorable group cooking class. You shared some great tips and demystified cooking good curry. We all had a great time.

The ambience was wonderful with the view of the pond. There were no tables available indoors when we visited and that reduced our experience as we had kids who felt cold outdoor. The service was quick and the people were all very understanding Would definitely recommend pre-booking a table.

Wow! What an amazing twist on an afternoon tea! Food was amazing, fantastic service and a beautiful setting! You can even pick up some amazing meals to have at home, recommend the chicken biryani and samosas! We also wandered up to Silent Pool Gin and Albury Vineyard, a lovely afternoon .

The restaurant is lovely. Great environment and atmosphere. We had a lovely sharing platter and homemade lemonade for lunch. Enjoyed the outside seating next to the wonderful spring. They also had belly dancers which was a nice surprise!

What an absolute gem of a place to visit! Next to the beautiful location of the Silent Pool, we sat outside under the trees in the dappled sunlight with a view over the water. We had such a warm welcome from the wonderful Claire, who showed us to our table and chatted to us as if we were the most important people in the world! A lovely simple but delicious sounding menu from which I wanted to eat everything! My mum chose the wrap, a homemade paratha bread - I think! - with lovely fragrant chicken and salad and raita on the side. It came with really good masala chips. My brother chose the thalis. Butter chicken, pilau rice, 2 samosa, pineapple chutney and poppadum. Mine was a keema pave; minded lamb spiced generously and served with - unusually- a brioche bun. Some yoghurt on the side really brought the whole flavour profile together. I could not resist the pineapple and coconut gelato and mum had the mango and cardomom, both topped with pistachio and rose petals. On the way out we chose some goodies from the shop all Mandira’s branded. Milk chocolate with Bombay mix embedded in to it and a dark bar with haram masala. Pineapple chutney and a tamarind chutney and a can of beer made from wonky naan breads!! If I had a cool bag I would have stocked up on their ready meals and ice creams. Make a trip there, it is magical and exciting and delicious!

Lovely setting, friendly service, but pricey We had a wonderful time at this Indian restaurant in Silent Pool. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. If it’s not busy, you can simply step in for a coffee or drink, which is what we did. The food smelled absolutely fantastic, though we didn’t eat this time. However, the prices felt a bit steep — we paid over £10 for just a 250ml bottle of mango lassi and a cup of tea. Great atmosphere and service, but worth being aware of the costs.

We were really excited to try this restaurant and decided to stop by on our way to the airport to kick off our vacation with some good food. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The table service was practically nonexistent everything had to be done through a QR code, and there was no real interaction with the staff. Despite there only being three tables occupied, communication between the waitresses seemed completely lacking. They even forgot to bring our dessert, and we had to remind them. The portion sizes were quite small for the prices, which felt a bit excessive. The final bill felt overpriced, especially considering the lack of service. On a positive note, the food was good, but it lacked a bit of authenticity. Sadly, this will be our first and last visit. It’s a shame because we really wanted to love this place.
