Mandira's Kitchen

Visited for the first time today as we coincided this lunch visit with a Silent pool distillery tour. Ordered the Tiffin meal with chicken. Absolutely delicious. Service was speedy and attentive. The venue was filled with their own frozen meals and merchandise for sale and decorated lots of colours hanging umbrellas and bikes. I would definitely recommend visiting this venue for something different and most importantly, delicious food.

“A Taste of India in the Heart of Surrey” - We discovered Mandira’s Kitchen while celebrating my daughter’s birthday weekend at Guildford Manor Spa, and what a wonderful find it turned out to be! I was truly inspired by Mandira’s story and the ambience she has created—it beautifully captures the essence of India in such a unique setting. The location is excellent, and the food was very good (though I did feel the portions could have been a bit more generous, especially given the price). That said, the overall charm of the place and the story behind it more than made up for it. A special mention to the front-of-house manager, who kindly gave me a tour of the kitchen and even introduced me to the chefs. I had the chance to try the paneer tikka straight from the kitchen—it was delicious! Overall, a memorable experience with a great story behind it. I’d love to return and hopefully meet Mandira herself one day, especially given my own interest in Indian food.

We went for a Lunch after being repeatedly recommended by new friends in the area. It was utter disappointment. This probably is one of those over hyped places. My vegetarian wife was served chicken in the so called premium Thali which was a rip off in itself , even after rechecking with the waitress about Thali being vegetarian. Look like this is a catering and frozen food business and they are probably serving reheated stuff. Everything was based on same saag based gravy, Thali had main of chicken /paneer in same saag gravy, Same saag chicken served in Tiffin dish and the most shocking part was the same saag chicken even as a filling in Kathi roll which is no where near Calcutta's The Naan were disgusting, hard, rigid not baked in tandoor but reheated like the ones you get from supermarkets The black daal ordered seperately was good enough but the same served in the Thali looked diluted. Will not recommend to anyone The staff looked under severe pressure with long waiting queue, but they were trying their best. The waitress and waiters were apologetic but the guy at the front doing payments didn't bother and gave us attitude about giving us a discount for serving non vegetarian to a pure vegetarian on Diwali!!

Such an interesting place, beautifully presented Food was delicious and staff very friendly and attentive. Also bought lots of interesting goodies to take home as gifts.

We had a 5 star dining experience at Mandira’s Kitchen. The decor abd the goodies on sale will make you want to stay in the barn browsing for a good deal of time. We had biriyani, keema pav, naan, daal, papri chaat, nimbu pani gin and delicious selection of chutneys which you can also buy. Lots of other yummy spices, kits on sale which will make delightful gifts. Will be back for sure. A beautiful gem in the heart of the Surrey hills.

The food was delicious. I had the tiffin with chicken curry and it was light but full of flavour! Service couldn’t have been friendlier! Defo recommend and will be back

Delicious food. We had the soup, crackers and Papri chaat. Lovely friendly service and atmosphere.

THANK YOU MANDIRA'S KITCHEN TEAM ! My car broke down close to restaurant and shop, so whilst waiting in the hot sun for the AA man, I popped in to use their loo. Greeted by Claire, Cara and Dan I was immediately welcomed in to take shelter from the heat, to rest at a lovely table in the shade by a stunning little lake! They served me ice cold water and fresh Samosa's, hot from the oven. They were so so generous AND SO KIND - and their food was DELICIOUS! They warmed my soul 💖 They even gave me a couple of Samosas to give the AA man. I live not too far away and have now discovered the most stunning and perfect place to take guests for lunch, they even have wheelchair access for my mum to sit by the lake, so I am going back for sure! Fantastic shop too and freezer meals all made by them! Thank you Claire, Cara and Dan for your kindness, your hospitality and for turning a really bad day into something really very special xxx
