M&S Bank Arena

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “What an amazing experience at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool! The place is absolutely stunning — located right next to the River Mersey, with a beautiful view that gives the same vibe as the London Eye area. The big round structure and the entire riverside setup make it one of the most scenic spots in the city. The atmosphere here is vibrant and lively, especially during events. Everything is so well-organized, from the entry to the seating arrangements. The staff are friendly, polite, and always ready to help, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can really feel how much effort goes into maintaining this place to such a high standard. The surrounding area is also brilliant — plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops to explore before or after the event. Walking near the river in the evening with the lights reflecting on the water is just beautiful. Overall, this is one of the best places to visit in Liverpool — clean, scenic, and full of energy. Definitely a solid 5-star experience!

Parking was close by, we parked in Liverpool 1 and pre-booked which worked like a charm. Plenty of places to eat very close to the arena in the docks area and it is a great vibe before the show. We would definitely look to book again here and take advantage of the places to eat in the docks. We ate at Nandos in Liverpool 1 which is only a 10 minute slow walk from the venue and the docks are easily accessible from the centre. Great venue, great sound and easy access.

Excellent venue in terms of size and atmosphere. Saw Busted vs Mcfly and was an amazing experience. However downfall to the venue, much like any other was the quality/cost of the food. If you have to eat do it before hand, we made this mistake. Bit niggly but still, excellent night and will definitely return!

Always a great experience heading to the arena in Liverpool but even more so when it's seeing your favourite boy band of the 90s coming back after 25 years! Five, live in Liverpool! Top tip, park in Liverpool One as it's much easier to get out of the carpark than the one nearest the arena!

Absolutely lovely venue..spacious..clean colourful bright, and with obliging staff. The only issue I had was queueing for a drink for 10 minutes only to be told it's " card only" when I got to the counter!!! Thankyou so much to the liverpudlian gentleman next to me who very kindly paid for a can of lemonade for my elderly father.

Liverpool should be proud of the M&S Bank Arena. Excellent facilities, really well organised, and the staff were genuinely helpful throughout — friendly, professional, and quick to support. The venue felt clean and well run, with a great atmosphere on the night. A brilliant place to see an event. Highly recommended.

Excellent arena located in Liverpool. Visited here for the gladiators live tour. Very friendly security staff. A quick and efficient entry. All drinks and snacks were reasonably priced. We hope to visit again!

Fabulous arena, to see Squeeze and Madness. Easy access, great concert venue, amazing sound, clean, comfortable and friendy staff.

I would give 0 if I could. While the building is accessible, their policies are not. Do not bother if you are a wheelchair user and need reasonable adjustments. Their answer is no. I needed to take an umbrella large enough to cover myself and powered wheelchair in torrential rain (for comfort and safety due to it being electric). Their answer - no. I needed to take water so I could take medication. Their answer - no (I spent £8 on tiny cans of water so I had enough to do this). There was just ONE accessible toilet (other was out of order). The queue in the interval was full of non-disabled people who openly said they were using it so they didn't have to bother queuing for the ladies. This meant the only 2 wheelchair users at the back of the queue didn't even use the toilet until the show started again after the interval. The seats have ok viewing, but it is hugely ruined by teams of security marching past like prison guards in gangs constantly brushing past you. Very intimidating and unpleasant. When people got out their phone (even to check the time) staff hit/banged them on their heads to stop! Food - it says there will be food served. There were a couple of bars of nestle chocolate (£2.50 a bar!), and munchies, and mint aero balls. If you can't eat nestle - you can't eat anything. The whole ordeal was horrible. I tried to ring numerous times for reasonable adjustments and the phones were off. I contacted the box office via email and they were unhelpful throughout, refusing to make any reasonable adjustments and saying the security might make reasonable adjustments for your disability and safety - but they might not, and if not you will be sent away. The whole thing was AWFUL. Worse experience I have ever had at a venue. They openly breach the Equality Act and don't care at all. I tried to complain and they didn't care - and reaffirmed they don't make reasonable adjustments for disabled people (and if they do this will only be done on arrival at the securities discretion - and they might say no). 0/10.

I went here for Eurovision, and the staff were amazing. I left my phone in the arena, and started to panic because my glucose reader app was on there! Not only did they let my friend and I wait in our section after the show while they looked, but they also offered up the glucose kit in their first aid kit! Will definitely go back :)

I've been to the Echo a few times to see different concerts, and it has never disappointed. I think the acoustics are excellent, no matter where you're seated or standing you can always hear really well. When I go to buy tickets for a gig, and all they have left is "upper tier", I know that I groan, and wonder whether it's worth getting a nose bleed for. However, I was glad that I went for it at the Echo because it's not that high, it feels a bit like lower tier at the MEN. No matter, where you're sitting you'll get a really good view of the stage. The arena itself was opened in early 2008 in celebration of the Capital of the Culture, and has since been host to some massive artists, really putting Liverpool on the map. It even hosted the MTV European Music Awards a couple of years back. All in all, one of my favourite venues.

Here's to salute the design of the Liverpool Echo Arena because I like things which appear futuristic and modern which is exactly what it is like. It is certainly a venue that is going to make history for Liverpool and is what the city needs - a perfect place for major events and A-list stars to perform. I have been there once since it opened a few years ago and this was to watch the European Badminton Championships. Inside the arena does create a marvellous atmosphere on big occasions such as sporting events and concerts. It has even hosted several Britain's Got Talent road trips (and for this year running) which says a lot about the venue's status. I would jump at the chance to watch Mamma Mia!: The Smash Hit Musical this summer!

Compared to the titanic cavity of the MEN, the Liverpool Echo Arena may seem somehow shallower, like a petri dish, or as if its primary function is to host jumble sales and things just got out of hand. However, upon its completion, I found it an enormous relief that the city finally had a big enough venue to prevent the stars just missing us out on their tours through the country. Travelling to Manchester when you wanted to see anybody more famous than Right Said Fred was getting to be a pain. It felt as if we weren't a proper city. Now the arena stands proud amongst the rising waterfront metropolis, sticking its chin out to bands and saying 'come on then'. It's just a shame nothing better than a Question of Sport or JLS is on the move at the moment.

I could not review places in Liverpool without mentioning the Echo Arena which is one of the many reasons that Liverpool is one of Europe's leading lights. This place is internationally recognised as a place of excellence and entertainment and really is a fantastic symbol of Liverpool's excellence. One of my favourite things about the Echo is its fantastic central location meaning it really is at the heart of Liverpool and as well as this it is next to the beautiful Albert Docks area. The echo is now accompanied by the wheel making the setting look even more stunning and I cannot speak highly enough about the fantastic way in which this area is managed and handled. At times of high demand the area never seems over run as it is so well run in general. Another fantastic symbol of a fantastic city.

It was a long time coming getting the Echo Arena - although as an Evertonian I cannot help feel some resentment at losing a brand spanking new state of the art football stadium to this, but hey ho, scouse politics for you! - and it has been a breath of fresh air to the city as it has capitalised upon the many events, attractions and buzz created in the wake of the 2008 celebrations. Before the Echo came here, the city would lose out consistently to other cities - namely Manchester - for being able to attract big bands and groups. No skin of my nose or indeed anyone who could care less about Girls Aloud, Take That or Michael Buble but it's really all about the fact that we can attract and stage those names which has lead to the MTV European Music awards and the forthcoming Mobos which is certainly a boost for the cities rep. The venue is exactly like the MEN or Hallam Arena and any of the big venues built in the last 10 -15 years so atmosphere and feel relys upon the crowd and great performances - good job the likes of Cheryl Tweedy are renowned for their charisma then!

One of the major criteria I use to judge a concert venue is the listings and who's played there. Echo arena thus comes very high in my estimations with artists such a Beyonce, Rhianna, Black eyed peas and Leona Lewis having performed here. Th arena is clear competition for the MEN in Manchester so what sets it apart?? Well for those of us who care about the implications of global warming and are not kin to double bluff by those trying to prove it as some sort of conspiracy theory will be delighted to know that the arena has been designed to be one of Europe's greenest venues. It is jam packed with environmentally friendly features such as rainwater harvesting, wind turbines, on site recycling and use of solar power. The arena also offers a diverse range of options as a venu.Conference facilities can accommodate nearly 3000. For those of us who are not financially challenged there is a lot on offer also with 22 VIP style boxes to hire as well as the Arena Club Class which offers the very best in corporate hospitality. All in all this is a worthy competitor to the MEN arena. So if you want a bit of change of scenery and fancy a night out in Liverpool instead of Manchester after your concert, give the echo a whirl....!!

Ive been here 4 times since its opened and am planning on going in dec to see coldplay, i think its amazing liverpool has a big arena that is attracting some big acts. They best i have seen there so far is Dancing on ice it was just so well presented.There where plenty of staff all the way around to help you to your seat and help you if you got lost. As with most arena ther food and drink was more on the over priced side but still nice.There are plenty of toilets tho and that was great. one thing to watch out for is parking, always takes us about an hour to get outafter a late night it can be a bit annying but each time we go it gets better.

Excellent venue to see proper gigs. The acoustics are good because the venue isn't too big. If you have stand up tickets you have a great view but even the seats on the upper tier at the back have a good view and the atmosphere is always good. The beer is expensive as it normally is in these places. It's better if you don't use the multi storey as it takes hours to get out of it. There is off street parking nearby but obviously this isn't secure. Also be wary of people claiming that you can park on business car parks and charging you for the pleasure.

cant fault this really easy to walk to from liverpool stations, car parks etc. MASSIVE! plus lots of doors to enter all round at different parts of the stadium so never feels a rush or crushed to queue. No queues infact! even for a fully booked show. Really nice staff. Only prob i had was bing pretty far back and looking right the whole time I couldnt see much, I have learned now that to go to anything at a huge stadium you HAVE to get early seats at the front main section. If its a 'singer' then its not to bad.. but if its a stage show etc you wont see much from further away. Even with a large screen up behind you still cant see much. Some people complained of only seeing the hand rail bar on the stairs. I was very lucky to be sat just at the point where the rail had a gap for people to walk through. didn't eat the food but had a drink of flavoured water in a bottle, £2.. not too bad really as some places charge a lot more. I parked near L1 and took only a short walk to get to the stadium and of a night its beautiful down there on the dockside so it was a lovely stroll. overall though great stadium! will book seats EARLY next time haha

Opened in time for 2008 Capital of Culture. Fantastic arena which now hosts many different concerts.

If monkeysock thinks this is the worst venue in England he can't have been to any others. Very good brand new venue, well worth going to. It has issues getting away after the gig, but where doesn't. Staff are helpful, humourous and you'll have a good night out. There are going to be a lot more big names coming to this venue.

Worst venue in England. Only had two bars open for the whole of standing, resulting in huge queues lasting nearly 15 minutes. Staff were aggressive and rude. Acoustics on the floor weren't up to much either.

it is the best place ever and when concerts are on its always cool and fab!!!!!

liverpool has been waiting for this venue for years an it was worth the wait from any seat you get a brillrent veiw of the stage,the staff are very helpful and the toilets are spotless and theres plenty of them so no need to spent the whole intervill queueing.Theres a huge car park next to the venue an its situated right on the waterfront so if you arrive early theres plenty to see an do,and when you leave after a late show the area is lit up beautifully,I have been to this arena several times and never had any problems, its also child friendly with a area to leave your prams an bags secure for free, some venues charge you to mind your property.All the seats are easy to find an everywhere is well sign posted I would happily recommend this venue to anyone as it chatters for all ages.

i have just spent the entire night camping out ,outside the echo areana with my 13 year old daughter and her friends for one direction tickets.One the whole last night was an enjoyable experience for them untill it came to getting in line for the tickets this morning.People came from everywhere,and were there where 200 people infront of us then became 2000.the security turned a blind eye to people pushing in the.I was there from 7pm fri and at 7am sat a taxi driver dropped his two girls off and i got talking to him because he was moaning that he had to pay for parking,at 9am the tickets went on sale and by 10 am i seen one of the security at the front taking money off him and he was saying "thanks very much mate i really appricate this" and the taxi drivers two daughters walked out with their tickets in their hand and said to the security man "thank you very much",my daughter and her friends never got their tickets till 12pm.There were grown men and woman jumping in the and pushing little girls out the way while they got their 6 tickets each that they were only going to sell on.Come on echo arena sort your security out,im sure you can do better than that,other much bigger arenas seem to be able to manage it,how about stamping everybody hand whose there a 6am in one colour and every body who comes after in another colour,then that way the real fans are getting what they deserve.
