Manek Chowk Food Market is one of those places in Ahmedabad that truly comes alive at night, and my recent dinner visit there was quite an experience. As soon as you enter, the energy hits you — bright lights, loud chatter, sizzling tavas, and endless food carts lined up one after another. The variety is honestly the biggest attraction. From buttery pav bhaji and cheese-loaded sandwiches to dosas, pizza-style dishes, kulfi, and local snacks, there’s something for every craving. The food is definitely pocket-friendly, which makes it perfect for casual outings with friends or family. You can try multiple items without worrying too much about the bill. However, hygiene is not the strongest point here. Since most food is prepared on open carts, cleanliness levels vary, so it’s best to be mindful while choosing where to eat. Another thing to note is the crowd. Manek Chowk gets extremely busy, especially on weekends and late evenings, and finding a place to sit can take some patience. Still, the lively atmosphere, quick service, and buzzing street food culture make up for the chaos. Overall, Manek Chowk is not about luxury dining — it’s about flavors, variety, and experience. Years passed, i am a grown up adult and still the same arrangements. Same taste. Same noise. Same love for manek chowk. If u go fo try pav bhaji, ghotala dosa. And janta ice cream. Ufff.... Need to go again now

Very occupied place but awesome and tasty food available at Manek chowk. Famous for Ghotala dosa and gugra sandwich, jamun shots. Paneer and cheese filler is awesome at Manek chowk, no comparision to these one.

Manek Chowk is one of the most iconic food destinations in Ahmedabad, especially for anyone who loves authentic Gujarati street food. The moment you enter the market, you are welcomed by the aroma of freshly prepared snacks, sizzling pans, and vibrant food stalls that stay active late into the night. From traditional items like fafda and desi ghee jalebi to pav bhaji, sandwiches, pizzas, and local sweets, Manek Chowk offers an unforgettable food experience for every visitor. However, one thing you must be prepared for is the huge crowd. The place is very busy almost all the time, and there is so much public gathered around the popular stalls. Because of this, it becomes very difficult to place your order and find a place to sit and eat comfortably. Many times, you may have to wait a long time for your turn, especially at the famous food counters. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, but patience is definitely required. Despite the rush and long waiting time, the taste of the food—especially the hot fafda, crispy bites, and the incredibly delicious desi ghee jalebi—makes the visit totally worth it and Jamun Shots. The unique late-night food culture, friendly vendors, traditional flavors, and bustling energy of Manek Chowk create an experience you will remember. If you love trying different street foods and don’t mind crowds, Manek Chowk is a must-visit spot in Ahmedabad.

Food is tasty but very much overpriced. You will not get any dish costing a minimum of Rs 270/-, Rs 290 etc.( fruits shots are of two for ₹70/- ) I would say if you are a taste lover must go there.if you are a pocket lover can be avoided.

I enjoyed my visit here! 🤩 The Pineapple/Chocolate Sandwich and Gotala Dosa were particularly delightful. 🍍🍫 Bastiram Kulfi was also a treat. Don't miss Jalaram Gathiya and Azad Sev Dal for a complete experience! 👍

If you are not thinking about hygiene and stuff, then it's good for you. Some items were overrated. I went there for the first time, only ghugra sandwich I found good.

A hustle bustle area which turns into a giant food court post 7:30pm. Lots of street foods and fusion foods. One may or may not like all the food stuffs basis their pallet. Foods are generally overflowing with cheese. This place is better to be enjoyed if you gone with a group. Another suggestion is take one single dish for a group of 4-5 people in that way you will be able taste more food. Must try is Jamun shots and pau bhaji from mahalakshmi.
