After all the new-Nordic gastronomy, I was aching for a hearty, belly-filling meal. Mangia supplied exactly that, effortlessly, in a mid-sized comfortable space (my diet is largely new-American/Mediterranean, with fresh produce, butcher-cut meats, and no canned foods).
The langoustine in a creamy chick-pea cream was buttery and the 3-meat filled plin pasta was satisfying. At least 25 mostly-Italian white, red, and rose wines were offered by the glass and the sommelier skillfully guided me through the many choices. Price was reasonable at 910 Kroner, including tip, for two people, two appetizers, two pasta mains and a total of 3 drinks. [end]
