Mangiabove

I stayed for a Women’s Retreat Oct 8-12 2025. The rooms, the grounds, the spaces for gathering—all so relaxing and welcoming. Most impressive of all: the hosts! So accommodating and kind. And the food! Superb. I enjoyed every minute of my stay for this retreat, but I plan on returning for another stay. Loved this immersion into life in Sicily. Thank you all so much!

A really charming place - close to the Marina - where there are plenty of places to eat. Magiabove has great facilities. A lovely pool in a well-appointed garden. The rooms are VERY well equipped. Ours even had an iron and ironing board. Staff are delightful and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The kitchenette was great with everything you might need for a short stay - like olive oil / vinegar / washing up liquid etc. A great place for a few days R&R.

Just spend 4 nights here for a writers retreat. It was absolutely wonderful, the guesthouse, the studio's (loved Timpa), the serenity, the surroundings, the succulents, the food and of course the people. Lara (& family/friends), thank you for your hospitality. Love from the Netherlands.

Amazing place, super friendly and supportive people. Super relaxed luxury. Great view of the sea. The area around the town of Marina di Ragusa offers wonderful places, beautiful sandy beaches, restaurants, and bars.

We loved Mangiabove from the moment we arrived! Iggy gave us a wonderful welcome, supplying us with a wealth of information to make us comfortable and to get the best out of the beautiful area. The rest of the team were also very warm and helpful. The cooking class was a real highlight! We really appreciated the attention to detail in the design of the resort and the way it highlights the beauty of the natural surroundings. Our only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. We plan to return!

We have just enjoyed the most perfect 10 day stay at Mangiabove and could not recommend it more. The booking process was easy, and all our advance questions re days out etc were answered promptly and knowledgeably. We were greeted on arrival by Iggy who shared a wealth of knowledge and showed us around his beautiful place. The outdoor kitchen and gardens were stunning and an unexpected treat. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and spotless. We encountered other guests who have returned multiple times and we can completely understand why. In terms of location we enjoyed day trips to Etna, Syracuse, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli and the National Park. Would not hesitate to recommend- thank you Iggy and team for a wonderful holiday.

Mangiabove is such an incredible place to stay. We were here for the third time now and we can only recommend this beautiful guest house. The rooms are super nice, but the highlights definitely are the pool and the outdoor kitchen… and the mangiabove team! Iggy, Marco and Francesca always make us feel at home and make every request happen. Thanks for a lovely time!

We loved staying here! The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. There is a very nice outdoor kitchen that guests can use and the whole area feels very homey. The owners are very nice and everyone is super accommodating and easy going. We were a bit disappointed by the breakfast as the selection is quite limited and there are no refills once something is finished. The location is only a short drive to Marina di Ragusa and a great supermarket. Generally, the restaurant options are quite limited in this area and require a bit of driving. The nearby town of Ragusa is a must see!
