Mango Restaurant & Rooms

This is my favourite Taverna on the Island. We came 5 years prior and returned this year to friendly service and great food. They are fun and family friendly, giving my daughter a load of pretty flower petals and a magnet. Prices are more reasonable than just about anywhere else in the old town. We didn’t stay in the hotel.. didn’t actually know they had one but would 100% stay there as the location is great

We stumbled across this place after a quick walk around Rhodes town before we went to the airport. We were essentially pulled into the bar/restaurant by a man standing on the street. I have read other reviews saying that this upset some people but myself and my partner found this incredibly amusing and it did add to the family and welcoming feel that I am sure they were trying to achieve. Within minutes of seating we were asked what we would like to drink and eat and struck up conversation with a lady (I believe was the owners wife) who offered me a book mark as she saw I had just bought one. I thought this was a nice touch and was thoughtful. Additionally, the waitresses who were working were very polite and chatty and we had a lengthy chat about her recent travel to London. We only had time for a quick snack and some drinks. My boyfriend ordered a €3 beer which as a Brit was amazing value and I ordered an ice tea which was also good value and in an incredibly large glass. The food we had was hot and delicious and I only wish we had time to try more of the food on offer. The location is lovely and feels authentically Greek! If I come back to Rhodes this will be the first place I come to visit. Thank you!

We come back every time when we are on Rhodes, because the food and drinks are really good and typical for Greece, especially the appetizer. The staff is really nice here too. It's not as crowded as in the main part of the city. Always recommended!

This small family-owned restaurant hides in a small square away from the main street Sokratous. You will most days be greeted by a very friendly man named Hercules who is ready to fire a joke right at you. A great icebreaker that is very different from the more "aggressive" main street restaurant facers. The food is full of flavour, and with a fair price as well. If you order a beer, they won't just slap a 2 liter boot glass on your table, but instead they will ask what size you would like. The service from the warm hearted staff is top shelf quality, and you might become friends with them. My partner and I enjoyed every second of our time here and we miss them and their restaurant every day after we got home! Huge recommendation to visit Mango ♥️ Best regards Nikolaj & Emily

Very nice place to rest and have a good meal. Under the trees in the shadows. Service is also excellent. The prices were okay, I couldn’t compare to anything else but I would say they are standard, so they are okay.

Visited for lunch. Very nice people. I had a vegetarian platter, which I have to say was delicious ( I'm a non veggie but was craving veg!). My wife had calamari. Both freshly cooked and tasty. Good value for money and the beer is only 2.50€ for a large. Came to 40€ for the two of us. They do take cards too. Worth a visit for a casual meal.

Eat here on a couple occasions as a couple. Happy Hour €2.50 a pint sat in the shade with a gentle breeze, made it a great break from the July heat! Food was typical good Greek menu and serving staff easy to get on with and good service

We did not stay here but had dinner here. The food was very good and service staff were very friendly. It's a small quaint restaurant with good food. Of course as with older buildings, the toilets in the restaurant do need to be renovated.
