I would highly recommend staying at the rif. The pool, food, and drinks are great. The buffet and food options are also better than others. It’s nice to be on vacation and not have to worry about meals and drinks. Drawbacks are room service never answers and the beach is lacking. You also need to wait in long lines for the restaurants the morning before. I would recommend going as early as they let you, around 10 am for a reservation. The hotel staff is nice, but won’t generally go out of their way to help you. The only other drawback is that rooms don’t have fans in the bathroom, sometimes giving a mildew smell. Even with those negatives though, the property is beautiful and gives you a wonderful vacation experience!

Let me start by saying I’m a Hilton Gold member and travel for work so I stay at Hilton’s often. I was semi disappointed with this property. I’ll break down the good and the bad. The bad: Property is all inclusive and they have several restaurants to choose from but they make it overly complicated to get a reservation. You can reserve a restaurant at 10am for the following day. Restaurants are empty yet they claim they’re full. The first time we were able to get a reservation the restaurant only had about 25% of its table sat (see pictures) and the staff were incredibly rude to the point we almost left. Added video of how empty the restaurant was and they were turning people away and rushing us. Getting a reservation feels like a second job and doesn’t make you feel like you’re on vacation. The staff: We experienced staff that were incredibly nice and incredibly rude. You never knew what you were going to get. Status: As I mentioned I’m a gold member. There was know acknowledgement or even a thank you for being gold. Def not the standard. The pool: pretty cold a bit hard to enjoy The good: Cleanliness: rooms are cleaned daily and they do a better job than most all inclusives. Drinks: I’ve been to several countries and stayed at all inclusive properties and the drinks are always watered down. I was pleasantly surprised they weren’t here and there are plenty of bar options with no wait. The pool: while it was cold it was beautiful and not overly crowded with a nice swim up bar that prioritized people in the pool. The beach: while the beach is better by mambo I liked that it wasn’t crowded and there is a reef that minimizes waves and sea life. It’s shallow and perfect if you have little ones. Location: decent with a 15 min walk into town and 15 drive to mambo beach and golf. Cigar lounge: I’m a cigar smoker, they have authentic Cubans and this is one of the places I received good service.

I was there with my family for 11 days and have good and bad things to say about my experience: -The people in the reception / front desk are always very nice and helpful! - Nice bars / good cocktails. -The food in the main restaurant is amazing, very tasty and well prepared. A lot of variety. - Food in the restaurants on site is also good, but in order to make a reservation I had to stay on line for over an hour every other day, because the app you’re supposed to use for reservations doesn’t work most of the time. - While we were dining in the Italian restaurant, I noticed that the person that is preparing the plates is touching all of the food with Bare Hands! No gloves!!! That’s a big no no!!!Very unsanitary!!! -Housekeeping in the rooms is terrible! During my stay I had to ask multiple times for towels, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper etc. - Entertainment needs to be improved a lot! All they have on site is music/ karaoke nights (boring). I’ve been to many different resorts where I enjoyed watching live performances every night, country national dances, etc. Overall the resort is not bad, but definitely needs improvement in certain areas! P.S. I would highly recommend renting a car if you visit the island, there’s a lot of nice beaches and places worth seeing!

We visit Curacao for work often. This hotel is perfect for what we need. Prime location. Very short walk to downtown; close drive to airport and other amenities in the area. Room was spacious and beautiful with a gorgeous view. Service at front desk was excellent. However like with any other all inclusive resort, place was crowded and food/drinks are not of the highest quality. Buffet is well sorted but there are pigeons and flies everywhere. La carte restaurants required reservation, but totally worth it because food is a little better and flies are minimal. We had no issues making those every day. Newly renovated gym was a pleasant surprise. Elevator #2 was inoperable our entire stay. Not bad for the price— we will return very soon.

5/5 Stars: A Birthday Getaway to Remember! My husband and I just returned from an incredible stay at the Mangrove Hotel in Curacao (February 19th-23rd), and we can't stop raving about our experience! From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Shana at the front desk took care of my request to make my husband's birthday celebration unforgettable, arranging for a delicious cake, balloons, champagne, and an unexpected room upgrade! Throughout our stay, Suki, Sharella, and the entire front desk team were always kind, helpful, and greeted us with warm smiles. The bellboy was also exceptionally friendly and courteous. Our 2-bedroom duplex room was spacious, comfortable, and felt like home. The cleaning staff did an outstanding job ensuring our room was spotless every day. The hotel's grounds were immaculately maintained, and the food at all the restaurants was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. We're so grateful for the exceptional service, warm hospitality, and unforgettable experiences we had at the Mangrove Hotel. If you're looking for a top-notch Caribbean getaway, look no further! Happy Birthday to my amazing husband, and thank you, Mangrove Hotel, for making it a celebration to cherish forever!

Ray has been so nice and friendly. He gave us great recommendations for the hotel and the island. We had fun playing beach volleyball. The workers are so kind. We’re very grateful to the staff and Ray. Our trip was improved greatly by his recommendations.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The bed was comfortable, the room was dark, good AC, all things I need for a good sleep. The buffet was so good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The drinks were great. The water slides were fun. The hotel is in walking distance to Willemstad, which we loved. We also took taxi's all over the island to explore different areas. We will be back for our 5 year wedding anniversary!

Terrible service. We chose the hotel because it was said it was one of the best in Curaçao, but it is being a terrible experience. I'm doing this evaluation while I'm still staying and if I can say anything for you it's DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL. The attendants are EXTREMELY rude and rude. Restaurants lack food, especially in the la cartes. It doesn't matter if you make a reservation, there are no dishes and no one does anything about it. Nobody respects the queues and the employees when we complain instead of taking action end up being even more rude. I had my glasses stolen at the hotel in a place where there were only employees and no one did anything about it. Not to mention that at the hotel, even though it's all inclusive, they even charge tents that you stay to protect from the rain. An absurdity. I've stayed in several hotels around the world, and I've certainly never had such a negative experience like this. When we arrived at the bar to ask for a drink, the employee was "flirting" with a guest and we told her to go to another bar. Choose another destination, but don't come here. Have love for your money and go enjoy somewhere else!
