The kayaking tour was a great experience! The Mangrove Center is located near the eastern edge of Lac and can be reached by car, it is quite a bumpy road. The center itself has some facilities and a shop. We did the 2 hour kayak tour where you will start with some explanations before you leave. During the tour our guide told us a lot about the flora and fauna of the mangroves, it was really educational! After about 1 hour you stop and go snorkelling directly from your kayak. Between the roots and branched there are many young fish, it is very cool to see them in this environment. The physical strain is light to moderate, it was quite a relaxing morning. We can certainly recommend this activity!

The Mangrove Center is a great place worth visiting! The 2-hour kayak tour with snorkeling was so much fun. Snorkeling through the mangroves and watching the fish sleep under the roots of the trees was a very nice experience. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and told us much about nature and marine life. It was great to learn more about the ecosystem and the importance of the mangroves. We got to see many fish, as well as birds and flamingos up close at the rehabilitation center. Time well spent! I strongly recommend a visit to this one-of-a-kind place.

Amazing experience. Learn the ecosystem surrounding mangroves and see the life they protect. Great guide and beautiful area. It is a little physically demanding as you have to canoe over some choppy water into a headwind and swim against the current if you do the two hour tour with snorkeling. Well worth it. I could have spent many more hours exploring and watching the birds, turtles, and fish.

We had such a nice and fun experience. The guide (I think her name was Annick or similar) was very friendly and provided us with interesting facts about the mangroves and wildlife. Snorkeling was also wonderful. Highly recommended tour.

Great activity post morning dive. We did the 1 hour tour and it was the perfect amount. We learned all about the mangrove ecosystem, saw some fish, and enjoyed kayaking through the mangrove tunnels. When you go bring a towel to cover your legs from the sun, water shoes/dive booties, sunscreen, water, and bug spray. They also have dry bags you can borrow and a shower to rinse.

You will need a vehicle with good clearance. We had a small electric car and unfortunately, the road became too rough for us to chance damaging the car or flattening a tire. I understand that road conditions are not the mangrove center's fault but it would be a help to post info on the website. Never did the tour and lost our money

It was an Awesome experience kayaking the Mangrove and seeing all the different types of Red Snapper Fish, upside down Jelly Fish, Sea Turtles and all the small fish. The guide was very nice and informative. It’s very educational for all ages learning about the island of Bonaire while enjoying the waters. The guide spoke very good English and also German alongside Dutch. I’ve never used Ocean Kayaks. I personally own a regular lake kayak. The experience level is for all skill levels. I highly recommend coming out here.
