The Essential Guide to Planning a Trip to Abu Dhabi
"A protected coastal ecosystem of dense mangrove forests and calm waterways that supports wildlife including flamingos and herons; visitors can kayak or paddleboard through the channels or join guided eco-tours that emphasize the wetlands' role in climate resilience." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"Kayak the Mangroves One of the things I treasure in the city is a calm morning when I can hear the birds chirp and the water roll into the sand in Abu Dhabi . One great way to dive into nature in Abu Dhabi just requires a short trip over to Mangrove National Park. A handful of tour operators provide kayaks, canoes, and other water sport activities to take in the Mangrove forest and enjoy a day on the water—right off Abu Dhabi Island. Known for its abundance of wildlife, including herons, flamingos, and crabs, it’s a popular place to explore with kids, too. The park is a protected space, so visit the Abu Dhabi Environmental Agency’s website to make sure you’re booking with an approved outfitter."

"Mangrove National Park is one of Abu Dhabi's most notable natural wonders. Home to 60 species of birds, scenic waterways perfect for kayaking, and more than seven square miles, it's a naturalist's dream. The mangroves themselves are also an attraction: They can grow up to 15 feet high, and their famous long root systems “snorkel” out of the saltwater for air. For a closer look, hire one of the licensed and ecologically responsible tour operators to make sure your visit has a minimal impact on the habitat." - Jenna Scatena
Lovely choice for nature lovers. Enjoying so much a walk here during sunset time. But check carefully google maps and destination on uber cuz the driver took me to the wrong gate.

Visited last Saturday with friends and had an amazing time wildlife watching. It's always fascinating to see mangroves growing right in the middle of a desert — such a unique landscape! We spotted lots of birds and marine life, and the peaceful atmosphere made it even better. Only downside: it's a bit tricky to get to without a car, and the experience is definitely nicer during high tide. Still, highly recommended if you love nature and want something different from the usual spots!

In an oasis of calm and nature's natural beauty while being not far from the centre of Abu Dhabi!
The longest walk is 2km, but it doesn't feel like it.

Only possible to access if you put Al Jubail Mangrove park. There is another misleading location that is a private access road and you may be fined. I don’t recommend kayaking in a group larger than 10, otherwise it’s not enjoyable. We just went there walked around and drank some coffee at the ticket counter area.
