Nice spot if you are interested in local people’s daily routine. This market has good mix of local people and tourist, so the price is more reasonable. The price between different vendors are quite similar. Would be ideal to visit for a brunch to make sure you have enough room for stomach.

An affordable traditional market suitable for the whole family to eat and shopping. Not only can understand the living habits and daily routines of the people, also it is such a good place to buy different snacks for tasting.

I experienced many different markets in Seoul, this one is my favorite. It‘s really clean, you have lots of options of street food and beautiful cafés nearby.

Forget about the usual cliche touristy markets like Gwangjang and come here. This market is not easily accessible by train, but the trip here is well worth it. There are many different stalls selling raw to cooked food. Most importantly, I always come here to get freshly grounded Sesame oil and perilla oil. There are seeds from China (10,000W/bottle) and local South Korea seeds (30,000W/bottle). I've tried both and I would say the Korean one definitely smells more fragrant. You have to come and visit this market.

I’m not a foodie, but I decided to visit Mangwon Market anyway—and I’m glad I did! The market was insanely crowded, yet remarkably clean. There were tons of food options and snacks, all at affordable prices, with everything looking absolutely delicious. My family had a fantastic time exploring the market, queuing for popular stalls, and trying out different local specialties. Beyond the food, the market also had fresh and reasonably priced fruits, making it a great spot for both snacks and groceries. Overall, an awesome experience—definitely worth a visit!

I visited on Sunday evening and was blown away by the vibrant atmosphere. The place was alive with energy, filled with a variety of delicious food options—and everything was incredibly affordable. It's a perfect spot for an evening stroll and a flavorful meal!

Nice and easy to navigate around as it's just a straight street. I think the market outside of the market is more interesting (fresh produce from farms, mainly fruits and vegetables) indoor stores sell more on fresh meat and seafood. There is not many stores that you can sit down and eat in. There are also plenty of stores selling Korea souvenirs and must eats like tteokbokki and fried bread.

What a wonderful experience visiting this Korean Traditional Market! A Less touristy and crowded market compared to others. Here in Mangwon Market there are less food eateries like in Gwangjang, but still there’s enough Korean food stalls to quench your K-food curiosity. There are fried chicken, jokbal(stewed pork leg), kalguksu(hand cut noodles), grilled seafood, tempura and odeng(fish cake) stores!!! There’s meat shops , fruits, vegetables and seafood shops too. I also found an all Banchan store! There’s also a hidden Starbucks in the heart of this market. Must visit specially if you hate big crowds.
