Been twice now and the ambience is nice, food is good, the pizzas have great ingredients and are a little salty which i really like. They have one of the largest wine lists around and the service is minimalist but on point. Worth visiting and great little spot in Rathmines. Manifesto and a trip to the cinema is a great plan.

***UPDATE as of 01/03/2024. Sadly, Manifesto has closed it’s doors*** Today, we had a party of 8 come in for dinner. 2 of our members are also gluten free. Service was courteous and fast. Food was outstanding. My partner who has been eating gluten free for more than 20 years says the gluten free crust is one of the best she has ever eaten. Thank you Manifesto for making it a wonderful night for us!

Google
Really good experience!! Real italian restaurant, awesome wine choice and top notch customer service, attentive and very professional staff... entree very good, especially beetroot gnocchi, super tasty, scallops were cooked to perfection but the portion was bit small and not a big fan of chips in it. Pizza is top class, very digestible dough, quality ingredients, perfect neapolitan way.

I went there to enjoy a pizza with my friends. I was expecting something different, I must say. It is more fancy and sophisticated than expected, but probably because it's a restaurant other than a place to eat pizza. Anyway, the place is really nice, and the atmosphere is good. There is a good choice of main courses and pizza. I really loved the huge wine selections! They have a big menu in which wines are divided by Italian regions. I was proud, as Italian, to see some of our best wines selection. I was expecting to see some beer though. I would preferred some beer choices to drink with pizza instead of wine. The service is impeccable, probably a bit slow, but really good. I am satisfied and I would suggest this place for a true Italian pizza, one of the best in Dublin.

Google
Manifesto, the place for extremely good pizza and excellent service. The pizza dough was different from any other pizza I’ve tried (in a good way). It had a bit of sour taste from long (perhaps) fermentation, crisp crust and soft texture. It was perfect! We’ve ordered Mamy pizza which received a gold medal as the best pizza in the world in 2006 and Iris Sophia also a gold medal winner in 2010. The combination of the toppings on both pizzas was spot on. For dessert I’ve tried Tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this place, they do take away pizzas which is really handy in case the place is fully booked, also they are on Deliveroo too.

Google
Great restaurant, I wanted to eat pasta but the variety is not that good, the pizza was really good though. I think the price is in the range of any italian place in Dublin and the portion is quite big. As a tiramisu lover I always love to try a good one and this one was amazing! 🤩 I would recommend to make a reservation as the place is not that big and even on a tuesday it was super busy. The waiter was super polite as well.

Google
Good Italian food, the pizzas are well made but maybe a bit heavy. The place is small and cozy but you have to reserve. I wouldn't advice to take the focaccia as it has too much garlic in it. Overall a good place for a pizza

Google
Move aside Paulie's, Dublin just got a new best wood-fired oven pizza spot in town. Fresh Italian ingredients (even bufala mozzarella) and delicious combinations that have made this place get many gold medals in the world pizza championship. Service is a bit on the slow side, but the experience is well worth it! My recommendation is the Mamy pizza with added fresh bufala mozzarella on top, it really blew my mind. Finally, excuse the yellow tone on 2 of my pictures, my phone messed up and I didn't notice until afterwards.

Yelp
This restaurant has many gluten free options. The service was stellar and the food was even better. I would definitely come back to this restaurant. The pizza was to die for! The gluten free tiramisu was also great.

Amada D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. Fabulous pasta, beautifully presented. Gluten free options prepared in a dedicated kitchen, and the gf pizza was truly outstanding. This place has won so many awards, including World's Best Pizza (multiple times), and our party of four agreed they were well-deserved. Chef/owner is from Italy. Wonderful restaurant!

David F.

Yelp
Return visit. Same vibe. I had a pizza rusticana this time with surprisingly good chips on the side. Sight unseen, ie the wine list was massive and I couldn't be bothered, I ordered a bottle of house white which, second surprise of the night, was a pretty decent plonk. I had an extra glass for dessert whilst my companion's shared the inevitable tiramisu. Not bad at all. Nothing special, just a decentish local pizza joint you wouldn't be ashamed to bring a first date to.

Leesa P.

Yelp
Best gluten free pizza I have ever had! The Mamy was spectacular. We also got the Irish flag and it was wonderful. I have been gluten free for 9 years and this is the closest I have come to a pizza tasting like a prior food life gluten filled pizza. Great restaurant, friendly service too! Highly recommend!

Seanna G.

Yelp
This was the BEST EVER gluten free pizza ever! It was so good, we had to ask to make sure! The gluten free pasta was also delicious! And the had a very extensive wine list too! Go. You won't look back. I can't wait to return. A shout out to the chef/owner who told us that he's been making gluten free pizza since before it was "a thing". He definitely has perfected it!

Othman A.

Yelp
octopus -- lovely. Pasta with the sea food --nice. The cheesecake was light and nice. Would definitely come back again and try different dishes

Ines C.

Yelp
This place is the bomb. Best deal in Dublin full stop. 10€ for pizza (GOOD pizza) and a soft drink at lunch on the weekends. It's worth spending more for dinner too though: their gnocchi starter is fab as is their mushroom tortellini with ragú sauce. If you're in the area on the weekend this is the best lunch you'll get!

Yelp
After spotting the sign for award-winning pizza in the window, I popped in last Sunday with my partner. The hostess was delightful, and sat us even though we didn't have a reservation, on the promise that they gave the table back before seven. We were hungry and weren't getting starters anyway, so this was a deal we could manage. Our server was not quite as friendly as her co-worker, however. We ordered two veggie pizzas and the roasted potatoes; I'm a fierce woman for the spuds, you see. So after much negotiation with my partner, we decided to split the pizzas; his was loaded with veg, feta and pesto and was a bit strong, while mine, the margarita, was a little plain. This, teamed with our delicious shpuds, was the perfect goldilocks food combo. The carafe of wine we got was lovely, but overpriced at 20 euros for a 500ml carafe, but the food was reasonable enough. When we did return the table at 7pm, there was only two other tables occupied in the whole restaurant. I've no major beef with the place, and would probably go back at a push... but only after a long while as I don't eat ham, so choices are limited.

Stéphanie M.

Yelp
Manifesto is great place for a delicious Pizza, I had several dinners there and I can say that I was always very satisfied by the menu, They have an amazing Gluten free Tiramisu that I recommend to everyone. The place is cozy and make sure to book a table at it is easily crowed during the evening.

Sarah M.

Yelp
I heard so much time about their pizza, that was so good. So I needed to try. With my boyfriend we went for lunch (one pizza and one drink for 10€) and we shared the Mammy and the other one which received a reward. The mammy was the best one! The only bad thing, the place was darker for lunch, I think the place should be better for dinner.

Yelp
This is a little gem of a restaurant. It's basically Italian but the food is really good and reasonably priced considering you get the full restaurant experience. It's owned by the same people as Kafka down the road and they really went for a comfortable space to eat it with good food. The venue itself is lovely with a sort of traditional restaurant lighting to give a bit of intimacy but with a modern twist. Staff are really friendly and happy to tell you about the food, wine and the restaurant itself... and you might find yourself chatting with one of the owners too.

David D.

Yelp
We ate here on 7 Nov. We called on the off chance that they would have a table for two, and we were glad we did! The restaurant filled up very quickly, once we had arrived. On the menu, there is much to choose from! I had the Rustic pizza, gluten free, and my wife had the Don Carlione. Celiacs are so well catered for here! To drink, we had some wine, which was exceptional and reasonable priced. The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly and efficient, without being too invasive. Cannot wait to go back, as we spent equal time admiring the food coming out of the kitchen as we did our own! Great experience!

Melissa H.

Yelp
The best gluten free pizza crust I've ever had. It even bubbled on the edges, which is hard to come by. The service was great, the food was delicious. If I'm ever back in Ireland, I will come here. Also, the waitress knew I was celiac and even stopped me from grabbing a pen the chef making pizzas had touched - so kind!

Kayleigh C.

Yelp
Manifesto is definitely worth a visit! It's good Italian food, presented beautifully in a really nice setting. We were there on a Saturday and it was packed to the gills so if you don't want to be disappointed, make a reservation! They have a decent menu, with the pizzas looking like the most popular option for most, and it's no wonder, they are so tasty you just keep eating until you can't fit any more in (apart from dessert, of course). I had the Pollo Manifesto which was really tasty but a bit on the small side, an opinion that was shared around the table for the majority of dishes apart from the pizzas, so we were glad we had ordered some sides for the table to share. Desserts were definitely the highlight though. There was a satisfied "mmmmmm" around the table as everybody tucked into their desserts and the general consensus was that nobody wanted to share. I managed to steal a taste of the tiramisu, semifreddo (mine) and brownie, along with one of the dessert wines- all delicious and the main reason why I'm planning a return trip very soon!

Kevin H.

Yelp
It would have been more stars, but I hate stupid rules. My wife and I wanted to share an appetizer and a pizza. We were told we couldn't share. REALLY? So we ordered two pizzas. Couldn't finish them and didn't get to try one of their interesting starters. I think someone missed the "customer is always right rule." And being upset, we didn't stick around for dessert and coffee.

Trish N.

Yelp
Never had pasta quite like the pasta frutti di mare. Freshly rolled it was green, thick and with a sauce that was light yet flavoursome and ample serving of moist shellfish and calamares. Could not fault the service, atmosphere or decor. The Mamy pizza was also a treat. Not my first time dining in the gem of Rathmines, nor will it be the last.

Doireann O C.

Yelp
AMAZING PIZZA. I'm a huge pizza fan in general and had heard rave reviews about Manifesto - I was not disappointed, this place surpassed my expectations. I ordered the Capricciosa & Carbornara pizzas. My mam is a picky eater so I swapped and changed some of the toppings, they were so accommodating and friendly. Cannot wait to order again!

Iulian M.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in Dublin. It feels like being in Italy here with the decor and italian people around.

Clara M.

Yelp
Went here with a few friends yesterday evening. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas, especially the "Mama". The place had a very cosy atmosphere, and we stayed for roughly 2 hours. The only thing that we found slightly annoying was trying to get the attention of the waiters. For example, when we wanted dessert we got the menu and we were left waiting a good 20 minutes before a waiter finally came to us. A similar issue when we asked for the bill, and also tried to pay. And the place was only half full at this stage in the evening. Despite this, I would recommend this place to friends. Great wine selection.

Micah C.

Yelp
Great place for a pre-cinema meal! I've eaten here a few times and the pizza and pasta are both really nice. They have a good selection of starters and a reasonably priced wine list as well. While I still prefer Paulie's, this place comes pretty close.

Laura N.

Yelp
I tend to avoid choosing Italian when eating out - I'd rather be dazzled by a dish that I can't figure out how in God's name was mastered by the chef. Pizza? Pasta? Bread? I can usually do that with a stone and a decent oven. But gluten-free Italian? That's like the end-all be-all cuisine for such a cooking challenge. As I've recently been made painfully aware of the limited menu of a gluten-free gourmand, I just couldn't believe the reviews I was reading. Nearly everything on the menu could be made gluten-free? Inconceivable! Pasta? Pizza? Bread? Gluten-Free? Inconceivable! And in its freeness of gluten it's still delicious? Inconceivable! (This gluten-free word you keep using... I do not think it means what you think it means...) But they, in fact, did know exactly what gluten-free and delicious meant and my 100% gluten free meal was nothing short of stunning. Spinach and ricotta ravioli, wood-fired pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, aubergines, parma ham, parmesan and buffalo mozzarella, panna cotta, heaven, heaven, heaven. Manifesto, you've busted the myth of easily understood Italian food. I officially can't figure out how in God's name you make it that delicious without gluten. If only my gluten-free gourmand could have been there with me to appreciate it!

Marine D.

Yelp
No doubt that this place serves the best pizza in Ireland . Staff are very friendly too.

Rovigo M.

Yelp
Amazing experience at manifesto this Christmas day. Incredible attention to detail and unforgettable flavors. A must place to go in dublin, Ireland

Cristin L.

Yelp
I was disappointed with my visit here. I didn't have a starter, but we got these garlic complimentary dough balls not long after ordering. Which I thought was a nice touch, but they were way too salty. I ordered the Ravioli Vesuvio as a main course. The sun-dried Tomato Sauce was bland and heavy. The pasta of the ravioli was either not fresh or under cooked. The rocket on the side was also very salty with whatever they were dressed in. I couldn't finish the dish. The staff were fine and the decor lovely. But I was really disappointed with the food here. I don't get it, as it flies in the face of all the reviews for the place. But I need to be honest.

Jessica F.

Yelp
Firstly if you want to eat there : book! I'm glad a friend told me to do that as the place is small (but very cosy) and also very busy. I was very curious as I heard so many good things about their pizzas. We booked a table at 6 on Friday. We started by sharing the bruschetta and what I clearly remember is the size of the mozzarella - it was delicious. I then had the mamy pizza which won an award. It was aubergine mozzarella Parma ham and tomatoes - I might forget something because again, I'm focused on the amount of mozzarella and how good it was. We ended with the Nutella chocolate mousse which was surprising light and easy to eat. We pour ourselves glasses of the house red wine which was good too (and it's a French talking!). I already want to go back. If you're looking for typical Italian food in a cosy place this is the perfect venue.

Mark C.

Yelp
Went in here for a social meal the other day with some friends. The setting was nice and the food did come quickly. They also had some good meal deals which i took advantage of. The starters came and as we shared them I can say they were all delicious. I had meatballs and I would say they were five out of five for taste. However the main course was not. I ordered the don something pizza that it said in the menu was awarded irelands best pizza in 2012 or something along those lines. First off the pizza had two toppings, some meat and a vegetable/ cabbage item. They were not evenly spread around the pizza so it was all concentrated on one side of it. The taste was just not that great, i've had better takeaway pizzas. For a pizza supposedly worth twenty euro I was expecting more and I was very disappointed. The dessert that I got though was excellent also so I have to say it was a pretty mixed bag. I don't think i'd return though.

Victoria C.

Yelp
Expectations were high. I've been wanting to try this place for years and was excited to go somewhere with GF Italian options. I called and booked a table with no problems, the venue is lovely and I really like the interior. I was here with two fellow food lovers and we were all very excited about the food, award winning pizzas? Yes please. Starters: I had the pate which was divine, the presentation was beautiful and looked like something from a 5 star restaurant, same went for the meatballs and the beetroot gnocchi, it was so damn good we were all in food heaven. I was going to order a pizza when I saw there was a lobster option on the menu and I simply could not resists. When the food arrived it looked like something out of a can, it tasted even worse, the tomato sauce was bland and reminded me of spaghetti-o's, the lobster was dry and tasteless, it was not edible and we called over the manager to inform him about this. He said ''The pasta is not something we make and the lobster is fresh'' I am sure the lobster was very fresh but that did not change the fact it tasted like nothing and that he dismissed me completely. He did offer me another dish and waived the charge but I didn't even want more food from there after that. My friends both had the award winning pizza and neither was impressed. It was such an anti-climax because the starters really were incredible but the service (or lack thereof) and the fact that they would serve €22 lobster that looks like it has been cut with scissors by a toddler is just not acceptable in anyway.

Kinj B.

Yelp
Ok! This is my first Yelp review(Hurray!! ) I had been to Manifesto yesterday for Lunch for the first time. It was crowded as they had good lunch deals. Pizza with any soft drink/juice for 10$. I ordered pizza MANIFESTO, Good value for money and delicious pizza! I would go there again. Only downside, they seem to serve only pizzas during lunch time.

Ivana I.

Yelp
Saying is that this is the best pizza in Dublin... Don't know for sure, but it is definitely one of the rare places where you can get in only with reservation. Place looks really nice, all the staff are Italians (as well as the cook), but as this is not guarantee for anything, primo piato gnocchi was nothing special, maybe even a disappointment. But then came the principessa pizza and it was really good (even after heated in microwave). Be aware that most of the pizza during the lunch are ten euros each with juice gratis. For dinner, those same pizzas cost around 15-16 euros.

Fabian T.

Yelp
Manifesto is a one of the best Italian place if you want to go for a pizza. Working with Italian and having Italian blood I found this restaurant it's a great one if you want to eat a pizza in a very Italian style, if you prefer the American style, you know where you need to go. A couple of years ago I celebrated my b-day there, and it was cool, some friends asked for pasta, and pizza, good wine, quite place where you can have a conversation without asking the typical question - what, first time it's ok, and second maybe too, but the third one, it would be a reply " it does not matter ". No problems in communication there. Then when we were eating a guy started moving the pizza dough with some music, it was some entertainment for the girls who were sitting in my table. I recommend this place, you never know if you do not try.

Megan G.

Yelp
Manifesto, you blew my mind! The ambiance is wonderful and the restaurant takes reservations. I have never seen a more beautiful menu in my life - the dishes are classic and innovative rolled into one, with the fresh and well-selected Italian ingredients you love.... quickly transformed into something you could never quite think of. And I love the vision and passion of the intro. Give it a read; the chef expresses an enviable purpose. I left wanting to come back here six times a week until I get the chance to try everything. ;) Tip for ordering: The pizzas are heavier than you might think, so I highly encourage the splitting of a salad starter, pizza, and perhaps another dish. The desserts and starters are both beautifully plated. I enjoyed the Mamy, but next time will go completely bare bones with a margherita, since I trust them to do a memorable job. Dear Manifesto, may I please move in?

Abaigeal D.

Yelp
I've been quite sick for a few days, and I somehow thought that a spicy calzone would be just the thing when I finally felt hungry again on a Friday evening when I just couldn't muster the energy to cook something on my own. (I know, it doesn't make sense, but if that's what seemed of interest for my appetite, I wasn't going to question it.) Manifesto is supposed to have very good calzones, and they do deliver. Actually - they don't deliver in Ranelagh anymore, even though their website still claims that they do.

Rui S.

Yelp
Awesome deal at lunch. 10€ full pizza + drink. Pizzas are top notch. Highly recommended

Jason C.

Yelp
This is a very nice little Italian restaurant (about 50 seats). It fills up quickly so it is best to go early or make a booking. Be aware that the portion sizes for each dish is small. This is because they follow the proper Italian meal course (i.e., first pasta then meat). Combined, you meal will cost about €25-€30, but that is effectively a 2 course meal. Pizza is good and can be much cheaper. The only bad thing I have to say is that the service is slow. They were nice and very apologetic about it.

Peter O.

Yelp
The Pizza in Manifesto is excellent. Really enjoy eating here. There is something really nice about eating there and the servers are always really nice. Good value, Good Pizza. No complaints.

Claire R.

Yelp
Amazing place for Coeliacs! They have a whole Coeliac-friendly menu and use a separate oven and special plates just for GF pizzas. I've never had any problems eating here and I am a particularly paranoid Coeliac diner. There's enough variety on the menu for everyone else to be happy too and they use fresh, good quality ingredients. They also cater very well for vegetarians. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly but unobtrusive. The only slight downside is that the place is tiny so it can be a bit difficult to get a table at times. We don't get to eat out that often but Manifesto's has never disappointed. Plus the pizzas are very tasty :-)

Ruben A.

Yelp
I went there on a Friday evening without reservation and they found me a table (I was lucky because the place was packed). I ordered what the restaurant is famous for, pizza, and I wasn't disappointed as it was excellent. Desserts are fine as well. The service could be quicker but the place was full and they were nice so no problem for that. Yeah, probably my best pizza in Dublin so far, but Ciao Bella Roma comes close!

Molly O.

Yelp
Honestly the best pizza I have ever had from a resteraunt. I went for their notorious mamy pizza and would recommend that others do the same it is delicious. speedy service however you may have to book in advance as there were reservation cards on most tables however we walked in around six without a problem. A bit pricey but you will not be disappointed

Fernanda M.

Yelp
Service is very good! One of the best stone baked pizzas in dublin! Is worth to go! Very good environment.

Sam L.

Yelp
The service here is not great. The staff are nice but very slow. This is excusable because the food is so good, but it's a pity the only type of sausage available as a pizza topping is sausage with fennel. I had the ravioli which was delicious but I'm lucky to have ordered roast potatoes on the side as the portion size would have otherwise been too small. Tables are way too close together and I felt closer to the stranger on my left than the person I was dining with. Overall, the experience was alright, but I was very happy with the food - the most important thing!

Luca S.

Yelp
I had a very good experience with my girlfriend at Manifesto! We came here with the idea to have a pizza but we changed our mind once we had a look at the menu. We had parmigiana with basil ice cream as appetizer. Then we ordered two primi piatti: spaghetti with tomato sauce, burrata cheese, prawns and bacon flakes and ravioli filled with bufala mozzarella with pistacchio pesto and prawns. We then finished this great dinner with a chocolate souffle with ice cream and two espresso coffee. In general, the experience was great and we can definitely say that this is at the moment the best Italian place in town. Looking forward to come back to try the pizza!

Yelp
Lovely, romantic Italian restaurant in Rathmines. There are many things I love about this place. I love the decor and the ambience. It's not particularly original but it's warm and inviting - and the way you imagine a stereotypical, romantic, expensive Italian restaurant to be. The food is good although hit and miss. Certainly it's hard to go wrong with the pastas - the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and prawns is incredibly simple but absolutely delicious. Simply prepared but wonderful done. Penne with cream, mint and sausage is unique and interesting. Flavours which are new but well crafted together. The pastas are also relatively cheaply priced around the 9-15 euro mark. And they can be enjoyed as either a starter or a main course. On the other hand, the fish and meat dishes can be very expensive - up to 25 euro - although they are well presented, crafted and cooked. There are often daily specials - soup, appetiser, pasta, fish and meat. The sea bass special that I have tried was cooked to perfection but it wasn't as filling and substantial as I would have hoped for the price. A notable mention goes to the pizzas, which are large with a regular base that stays dry and delicious right to the centre. I would recommend against getting prawns on the pizza however, as these tend to turn to mush in a pizza oven. Definitely a pity as this is one of the few places where king prawns are used as standard on the pizza. Pleasant, friendly service. Good wine list.

Jo T.

Yelp
This is a review of Manifesto Restaurant in Rathmines. I wanted to email them first with my concerns, but there is no email address on their site so I have no alternative but to review this generally online. First off, Manifesto Rathmines; new menu is pretentious and certainly does not translate to the elements of the dishes! I had Fagottino Di Carpaccio Con Champignons E Tartufo for Entree. It was nothing like the English description of this dish on the menu and I was only given 2 measly pieces of carpaccio. I don't speak/read Italian, but I know enough to presume Fagottino is a derivative of the English word Faggot (or vice versa), which is an English dish made from offal! I sincerely hope this was not the case! I have had Carpaccio many times - and although the presentation was delicate - it was deceiving by the fact that the centre piece ended up being a flat mushroom only. My friend had the Tagliere Del Buongustaio for Entree but was disappointed that the supposed Italian cured meat tasted like luncheon meat! Also, there were black grapes and not black olives! Who replaces black olives with black grapes! My friend's main course was Pollo Manifesto which showed on the menu with an asterisk stating "One Side Order of your choice is included with these main courses" - she was not offered this when ordering. My main course was Spaghetti Alla Chitarra All'astice. It was supposed to be half a lobster - in actuality, I got a few slivers of lobster and a piece of cartilage which, luckily I checked first because if I'd thought it was a piece of lobster and tried to eat it, I may have broken a tooth/teeth or choked! The wine waiter asked if we would like another bottle of wine. We said yes, please. He was about to take away the wine cooler, which still had the remains of the first bottle (probably at least a glassful) and when we said to leave that and bring another bottle, he seemed confused and couldn't seem to understand that we were happy to have the second bottle sitting in the cooler. Dessert: We were undecided and asked the waitress if we could have Panna Cotta. We were told - quite curtly - there was no Panna Cotta! In short, we both found this experience in your restaurant to be disappointing and a total rip-off as opposed to the wonderful experience we had approx a year ago. Never again!

Allan D.

Yelp
Still great food but convinved they've brought new plates and made the portions smaller?

Liat F.

Yelp
As you may know, I lived in Italy for four years so I consider myself to be a bit choosy when it comes to Italian food, particularly pizza. In my five years back in Dublin I have only been able to find a handful of really good pizza places in the city. Manifesto is one of them. I ordered the award winning 'Mamy' pizza, Parma ham with grilled aubergine and mozzarella. YUM. No wonder it won awards! I tried to savour every moment and prolong its end by talking while my dinner companion devoured her pizza. But alas, all good things really do come to an end. And not only was the pizza nice, light and delicious, but the servers were friendly and attentive. The last time I was there this wasn't the case but last night I was impressed by the friendliness and the great service, hence the full five stars. I'm delighted that this is in my hood and will definitely go back, especially since I'll be working again in the new year and I can start to have not-so-cheap meals out. Yes, the pizza is a bit dear, and in today's economy full of cheap meals and deals you can get great pizza for a few euro less, but once in a while it's just so nice to go to my local and have a really classy one.

Alessandro R.

Yelp
Manifesto is sometimes known as the best pizzeria in Dublin. At least, this is supposed to justify the stupid complications for booking a table, as the restaurant is really tiny. Well, after much struggle me and 6 friends were able to book just two weeks in advance. Lucky us. Once we got "exclusive" access, what did we get? Mediocre pizzas. Tiny, not particularly tasty, ridiculously expensive. Do you have any idea how cheap it is to make any pizza? Think again. Were ingredients fresh? Probably. Were pizzas tasty? Not much. Were they better than Pizza Hut and Domino's? Well, it's pizza, duh. Were they at the level of an Italian pizza? Well, of course. Any Italian pizza: not the best one, not the "original" one, not the very very secret unique pure receipt only known to a couple of pizzaioli in Naples. No, just pizza. A 17 euros pizza. Are there alternatives in Dublin? Of course. Are they as good? Probably. Are they friendlier and easier to access? For sure. short version: don't believe the hype, there's plenty of pizza in the ocean.

Yelp
A trend is emerging in my restaurant reviews...the Italians seem to win hands down every time! Another fabulously authentic italian restaurant...love the decor (dark and atmospheric), you get a little basket of garlic bread bites on the house on your arrival (which is awesome by the way), the house red is great, the staff are friendly, and the food is stellar. I notice every time I go in, the Italian customers tend to order the Parmigianna...I have Italian friends who go bananas for this dish, and I can see why...it's like an Aubergine married a tomato and gave birth to a little piece of food heaven... When you walk in there's a striking pizza oven/pizza prep area, and I've heard that the guy who makes the pizzas does a little show with the pizza dough every now and again. I can't really fault this place, although I have been dissapointed the last two times I went and couldn't get a table (if you're going at the weekend - better book in advance). Also, it's a tad bit on the expensive side, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Yelp
Visiting Dublin from the US, consulted yelp for gluten-free dining options. Made the trip from city center based on the reviews here and was not disappointed. BEST gluten-free pizza on either side of the Atlantic. Definitely a step up from the nice gf pizza we had in Boston's North End the day before. The texture and flavor of the crust, the golden color of the melted cheeses, the flavor, the speed of delivery - stellar. Had a starter of gnocchi with creamy provolone sauce nestled in a crispy basket of Parmesan cheese. Amazing. The staff was super - sensitive to the gluten allergy (the gf pizza is baked in a designated oven) and the restaurant was a warm and cozy retreat in a late afternoon rainstorm. Thanks for a great experience!

Yelp
The Kakfa owners closed this down a few years ago. The new owners have been operating since late 2009. I wouldn't exactly call it reasonably priced (10 euro for a starter), but the food is good. Not a fan of the pizza tossing show in the evenings, but maybe that's because I'm out of touch with my inner child.
