My wife & I stayed here for 5 nights in late February. The hotel has quite nice & the surrounding area very scenic & fun. Our 1st stop in Australia! The folks at the hotel were very helpful. We used the great Sydney ferry system, not a rental car. Taxi drivers, nearby Swedish bakery, adjacent beach, park, grocery & restaurants were all very good.||In sum, a very nice introduction for 2 older Americans visiting Australia for the 1st time.

I booked a motel room, when I checked in it was so small, I asked for an upgrade and got the studio room, seperate room to the lounge, it was double the size for only an extra $30 per night. Thank you to reception who changed my room, as it was allocated to someone else. Room 121 , great room and view ! Do not get a motel room if it is more than 2 people, get the next room up ! Much more comfortable .

My wife and I are Californians who stayed 8 nights in a motel studio of Manly Paradise during our visit to Sydney. It was over Christmas and New Year 2024 / 2025. ||Our Aussie friends recommended Manly Beach. We managed to find a reasonable price of a studio in Manly Paradise. Then again, we realized that this studio did not have that much space nor amenities. We were in it more for the convenient location and the enjoyment of beach front living. ||Around the Holiday season and Australian summer, Manly Beach was a happening place. The Corso one block South of the motel was always full of people among the shops, bars, and restaurants. The crowds on the beach and on the strand made for great people watching. We noticed how convenient that we could sneaked in and out of our motel and be in the middle of things – such as watching fireworks in the harbor from Manly Wharf. ||Being in the heart of the Manly restaurants and shops was practical also. I made it a habit to grab a lite bite for lunch or brunch at Norma’s every day. For supper, we bought cooked dishes from Cole’s supermarket nearby. We did a bit of shopping on the Corso, not as a dedicated shopping trip but instead based on happenstance. One practical need took a bit more effort though. The motel did not offer laundry facilities and I ended up walking 15 minutes to a laundromat a few times. ||One key attraction for us was the famed Manly Beach to Shelly Beach ocean swim. We enjoyed doing that swim with hundreds of others on warm sunny morning. When the weather, or when the ocean conditions, was not so inviting, we would walk the mile or so to the very nice Boy Charlton aquatic center to swim in the 50-meter pool. Staying in Manly would indeed make a swimmer happy. ||While in Manly, we had a casual itinerary of mixing beach activities with sightseeing in the city. On days when we headed to the CBD, the Manly ferry was an enjoyable mode of transportation. That included one late night return ferry trip after seeing a show at the Opera House. We also explored other Northern Beaches. We walked to Freshwater for a picnic and some swimming. We took the bus to Dee Why where we spent a better part of a day. My wife also found the North Head hikes fascinating.||The Manly Paradise staff were all friendly and warm. We made friends with our housekeeper and felt at home. I would recommend this motel for a short beach vacation.

Comfortable and great location. We were greeted by Elizabeth, who was very friendly and professional. We got an ocean view bedroom, would recommend!

Expected so much more for the $337 NZ a night room. Starting with the grumpy receptionist the place was disappointing. The bed took up most of the room and hardly had room for our bags. The bathroom reminded me of school camp days with a fixed shower head and curtain in the corner of the room and a vanity so small you couldn't rest anything on it. Bed was soft and surfaces sticky. Close to the beach but we couldn't see it.

Lovely view, clean and spacious room with very modern amenities- the only reason this is not5 star would be the lack of kitchen facilities- we had a microwave and panini press but from the photos thought there would be more available in terms of cooking. I am gluten free so like to have the option to cook while travelling. Bathroom was lovely, great desk space, lovely to sit in bed with a coffee and look at the view. It was a little piece of paradise

Yelp
Room service blew me off the 1st day after I requested they clean my room when they were done with the one next to mine. The second day I went down to the front desk asked for my room to be cleaned and was told it would be cleaned right away. An hour later the room hadn't been entered. I went into Sydney and arrived back just before 3pm and asked at the front desk and was told it was al taken care of. THAT WAS A LIE! Nobody had touched the room when I came back. Motel 6 does better but my problem is that any corporate entity that tells it's employees to tell the customers what they want to here and don't do their due diligence and then lie to the cstomers is wrong on any level!

Yelp
All I can say is the location is great and Elizabeth at the front desk couldn't be nicer, however our room was so small we could barely get to the bathroom without tripping on our luggage. The bathroom is basically a 5x5 foot room with a shower, toilet and corner sink that you can barely brush your teeth. Room service consisted of making the bed and emptying the trash. Asked for ice, and got a cupful, when we returned for more, we were given three cubes. REALLY, can't even provide adequate ice for your guests. All this for $180 a night US Dollars. We had a slight corner view of the ocean, no balcony.

Yelp
Inexpensive and nice... not the nicest but a great option when the budget is tight.

Yelp
Last stay was January 2007. Not 5-Star in terms of luxury, but in terms of location, friendliness and value, these serviced apartments are some of the best to be had in Manly. Balconies overlook the Pacific Ocean, yet are set back from the main road and attract little or no traffic noise. Fall asleep to the sound of the Ocean. Get up at 6.00am and run straight into the Pacific - that'll wake you up! Choice of literally scores of pubs, restaurants, and shops within 3 minutes of the front door. Paradise indeed.
