Mannings Hotel

We have stayed in a hotel room at Mannings a couple of times before but this time we stayed in an apartment. This was great and also included breakfast. The owner was delightful. The whole complex could do with a bit of a spruce up but the reception staff were excellent and could not do enough to help. We will definitely be back.

I stayed overnight as I had a theatre visit the following afternoon and business in the morning. I took an apartment for easy access as in the main building the rooms are all upstairs. Guests have a free continental style breakfast and use of a gated car park. The car park is right beside the apartments.||The apartment was spacious with a very large bed. The bedside lights are of the bare bulb type and a touch bright. Bathroom is also spacious. However the towel rail came away from the wall in my hand when I used the very nice towel. The apartment has a well equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, microwave, toaster etc. Everything was spotlessly clean.||If the weather is inclement make sure you have waterproofs as there is no covered access to the main hotel building and restaurant. The hotel is right in the centre of the city and ideal for business and theatre trips.

The staff here are brilliant, they make this hotel bearable. The rooms are too hot. I didn't like the shower over the bath & that there was no lift. I have minor mobility issues, & this made it difficult for me. I think that better breakfast options could be included in the price. The owners really need to do a bit of work modernising the rooms, with walk in showers, & to install a lift. I found the beds uncomfortable, I'm afraid I wouldn't come back unless a few changes were made. We were initially given a small double room, which was uncomfortable, we requested a bigger room, which we were given. Unfortunately this room was right above the kitchen extraction system, which was very noisy & was on from 7am to 11pm. Overall our experience here was disappointing.

Stayed in Apartment 201 and what a stunning apartment this is! |Spacious apartment with everything you need for a practical self catering stay.|Lovely tall ceilings with the velux windows gives the apartment an open, roomy and bright feel too it! |The entire place was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and the bathroom was simply stunning with the best power shower! |Highly recommend!

Lovely grade 2 listed building just off Lemon Quay, right by the theatre, cinema and shops. |Twin room was cosy with 2 double beds. There are radiators and a window you can open. |Station at top of town, so if you have luggage, book a cab down in advance due to paving slabs and cobbles! Otherwise, you can walk down to the hotel in 10-15 minutes. Staff lovely - highly recommend!

Nice hotel in the center of truro. The room was clean and tidy! Really nice bathroom! Very large secure carpark. Breakfast was a standard continental, but you could pay for a hot breakfast. The staff where freindly and helpfull.

Good hotel in the centre of Truro. The hotel is in a lovely historic building on a quiet side street in the centre of town. Staff were all friendly and professional. The room was a good size and well decorated and quiet at night. Continental breakfast was good as well.
