Manoir Belle Plage

This hotel is a gem! The location is just amazing - you will get the best sunset and the ocean view right from your window and will enjoy the sound of the waves in the morning! The room was sweet, clean and cozy. The lighting was just right, warm and enough - and all that you can need was there as well. We were pleased to see Nespresso machine in the room - great catch - as for people like me that don't drink a regular coffee from a jar, and even a decaffeinated coffee cup was there! ☕ Our Special Thank you for that!👌 Also, the shower was recently renovated (maybe just a couple of years ago) with a comphortable hand / head shower - European style shower that is a great decision as well. The lighting and vent in the bathroom were good, along with a white crispy bathrobs in the closet, nice smelling and clean room, small fridge, iron, safe, fan and a wine glasses - trust me, it's so essential - just to make all those little tiny things that creat your unforgettable experience and makes your time staying here - just comfy, cozy and amazing, feels like home. The service was good. The main public area, the elevator (to get to the 3rd floor where we were staying) - it's was nice and clean, smells good. They also have a cozy conference room and the gym. Great choice as well! From the design prospective - the hotel looks as a good, warm and welcoming hotel 4**** as we used to see travelling in Europe before. Thanks for this reminder experience as well! However you can hear the highway (our window was with sunset ocean view), it was not so noisy. And you can close the windows (it's a double windows, btw) any time, to make your room quite and cozy (of course you can adjust the air temperature in the room). The only thing I would like to suggest (but I suppose it was just a rare thing in this place, so I'll correct my post deleting this text below - but just to let the manager know) - as the most essential part of any journey is... yes, breakfast! We as a small family (the other visitors could agree with me!) we were travelling to this amazing area for a mountain hiking with a long and picturesque trails - please note what it's also extremely important -the first thing in the morning - perfect breatfasts! It's a huge addition that helps a lot to make a decision to come back here again. On the second day of our staying the breakfast was just that perfect: tasty and hot(!) food, not a lot of types but enough - the range on your choice: hot omelette and hot sausages, warm pancakes, good plain yogurt, pickled fruits in the glass jars, toasts to make with peanut butter or berry jams, oatmeal and cereal with additional nuts and dryed berries on your choice, orange juice, tea in the bags, regular coffee in the jar (again, huge thanks for our personal Nespresso machine in the room!) and... the ocean view in the window, of course! So yes, the breakfast was good that last day of our visit! However the first morning we were staying here, and unfortunately didn't get the hot part of the breakfast - was a rare occasion. Again, we needed a hot breakfast so much that day - where after we spent hiking nearby in the mountains. So, missing hot and protein filled part of the breakfast - that wasn't served that morning was a bit disappointing... But again, I believe it's was a rare thing for this wonderful place! (Just FYI, no Tim Horton's to find in this area - that's why the hotel breakfast was so essential and important!) Anyway, hope this long, detailed but true life experience review could help to decide for the future visitors and guests to come here - and makes their time here just unforgettable. I spent my night there on my last day at the Gaspé region. Had I known before I would have started my trip there. I arrived just as the sun was setting on the horizon and it was a magnificent view. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the gentleman not only eased my check-in but also had suggestions on hand where to eat and I was able to make it time for a scrumptious dinner. The room was very spacious with the view to the beach and the sea. The bed was comfy and very clean. Perfect for a wanderer like me. A Buffet Breakfast was included.||The funny thing was my phones switched timezones to the New Brunswick time and I did not notice so I ended up waking an hour earlier and getting confused why my phone and watches were displaying time an hour a part. Good thing I managed to contact reception and they happily cleared the confusion. I should have known, being well versed in science but that's the amazing thing about the Gaspé region. It's so beautiful that not only do you lose track of time but also preexisting knowledge. My only sadness was that I wasn't able to see the aurora borealis due to the weather patterns and I had to leave early morning to make it back to town but I am definitely planning to come back next year for a longer trip. Amazing staff and hospitality.

Everything was fine except check-in. When driving from New Brunswick we forget about the time change so we were a bit earlier than planned. I asked (in fluent French) if our room was already ready. Then I got repeated remarks about the check-in time even though I had already acknowledged that we were early. ‘No’ was the answer, so I simply asked if they could ask housekeeping to work on ours and we’d come back in an hour. Another statement about check-in time instead of a smile and a ‘we’ll do our best and I’ll call housekeeping now!’.|In the end I got a message about 45mins later that it was ready. All I wanted was the smile and ‘we’ll do our best’, not a tense moment of confrontation. Room/bathroom were fine. Strange to put the A/C unit in the small walking in dressing/closet. And only a not-very-effective USB plug in the alarm clock/radio. Breakfast buffet had the essentials but why put out scrambled eggs that get so dry and crumbly?|Over all a decent place to stay with a nice view and mostly very friendly staff

This was one of many accommodations booked during our 10-day trek of the Maritimes. This was by far not the most expensive, but likely the most luxurious hotel we stayed at during our trip. For a couple hundred dollars, we got a large ocean view room in a central location. Fine dining within walking distance and the breakfast included was top notch (many local or home made items to choose from)! Would return in a heartbeat. Merci!!!

Our room on the second floor was modern with a large bathroom and included bathrobes in the closet. There were no single-use toiletries (Yay!). The room was quiet, and we had a small table to sit at in front of the large windows. I'm very glad we brought our own charging station for our multiple devices. The free breakfast buffet was basic.

We booked a room facing the ocean on the third level with a spectacular view of Baie Chaleur. The room, the bed, and all the appointments were first-rate. What was really impressive was the tasteful design of the rooms the hallways the dining room even the entryway which are all tastefully designed and filled with local artists and indigenous references all the way to a toilet paper holder with two pieces of wood designed by a local artist to hold the roll, amazing! The staff were polite and helpful, we would definitely recommend anyone passing through Carleton-sur-mer to book a room here!

I really liked my stay at this hotel. I really like the way they designed the rooms and the bathroom. Service was great, people are extremely respectful and nice to talk to ! More than 5 stars

We really enjoyed our stay at Manoir Belle Plage. Very helpful staff. Lovely views with a boardwalk just outside the hotel. Perfect after a long drive. Breakfast was very nice.
