Manoir De Surville

We stayed 5 nights at this beautiful and historic Manoir. Camille and Hugues are excellent hosts, they and their staff looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. The cuisine is outstandingly good, the choice if menu imaginative and well presented. This was our first visit, we will definitely be back

This is the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in; Camille and Hughes are fabulous hosts. The room was very comfortable with a terrace, very spacious. The dinner was sublime; we love this hotel. Even though we have to do a detour to get there! it is worth it.

Hugely accommodating from the lovely owners. A splendid property and the most amazing supper.||They have made it so welcoming and the room with the fire was really special. A must visit and we would like to come back and spend longer there in future.

We travelled to Surville as an end destination based just on reviews we’d read here. Even though the reviews were great, it exceeded expectations. It’s hard to describe just how warmly welcoming the proprietors, Camille, Hugues and their delightful children were. It really did feel like staying with friends. ||The hotel is set in beautiful, thoughtfully laid out grounds. We swam in the warm pool, played badminton, cycled and just enjoyed picnicking in the wild flower meadow. The hosts lent us bikes for some wonderful rural bike rides between medieval villages. ||The restaurant was central to the experience and we enjoyed high quality, thoughtful cooking. Indeed, my daughter commented that she’d never had such posh food and so many courses! ||The rooms were simple, immaculate and very comfortable. ||Everything is of such a high standard and so thoughtful. ||We will definitely come back as soon as we can!

We had a fabulous 1 night stay at Manoir de Surville including an excellent evening meal and plentiful breakfast.|The whole experience and beautiful surroundings made for the perfect stopover at the end of our holiday.

Beautifully manicured grounds, warm welcome including our dog, excellent food, pretty place, loved the wild flower garden. It was a stop over for a trip from Calais to Spain. |Definitely 5 stars, and highly recommend, but I have a couple of comments for management. |The bathroom would benefit from a light up magnifying mirror for shaving/make up as the bathroom had no natural light and was a bit dark. |I thought the restaurant wine list could benefit from a couple more 'entry level' wines given the area's proximity to the Loire Valley's wine diversity. |And a completely personal dislike for foam mattresses!

Camille and Hugues, who own and run Le Manoir have thought of everything.||We had the most glorious stay in exceptional surroundings and comfort. It could not have been nicer. Wonderful food and a superb wine list matched by the beautiful buildings, gardens and superb swimming pool.

If you are looking for a slice of paradise, look no further. A stunning location in Normandy with beautiful grounds, spacious and well appointed rooms and food second to none. This is only exceeded by the warmth & love extended by owners Camille and Hugues. This is a passion for them and it is evident in every little detail We also took advantage of the spa services for relaxing massages, sauna & steam. We spent 3 days and wished we had booked for longer in order to enjoy the grounds and take a bike ride around the area with a picnic lunch (bikes are available). On our next visit to France, we will return to spend more time at Manoir Surville. In fact it might be the primary visit for us to return to France. A stay at Manoir Surville will be the highlight of any trip to France. This would also be a great spot for a business or wellness retreat.
