The Best Hotels in Copenhagen

"Best Copenhagen hotel for: the eco-savvy At first sight, there’s little on the outside of this suites-only property on a main road north of the city center that reveals it’s one of the city’s stand-out hotels. But step inside and the story is very different. The former factory has been reconfigured in funky riad style with a central courtyard garden surrounded by six floors of balconied apartments. At its epicenter is the indoor pool, lined with day beds and surrounded by greenery like some wonderfully steamy tropical wonderland. The owner, Guldsmeden, is behind some of Copenhagen’s more characterful small hotels, including the most recently opened Bryggen. This was the group’s first venture into something bigger. The 87 suites are simply done out with raw concrete ceilings, small kitchen areas, and compact bathrooms, all with cheerful Balinese touches such as bamboo towel rails and bright, handwoven cushion covers. Down in the basement, there’s a hip gym, which feels a bit like a nightclub with its pumping music and industrial aesthetics. The sixth floor houses the hotel’s restaurant, Chapung, pairing an Asian fusion menu with great views across the city’s lakes and a roof terrace for summer evenings. The signature breakfast uses all organic ingredients and for true eco-enthusiasts, there is muesli made from leftover breadcrumbs. This sustainable philosophy extends throughout the hotel, from the use of organic paint to providing compostable toothbrushes. Manon Les Suites

"Tell us about your initial impressions as you arrive.Guldsmeden Hotels’ most luxe offering, the 87-suite Manon les Suites, is close to the famous Lakes, making it an ideal stay for nature lovers. Beyond the apartment-style digs, it's the property's lively pool area—an Instagram wonderland of umbrellas, tiles, dangling fish light fixtures, and plants sprouting from terracotta pots—that hooks guests right from the get-go. How are the rooms? In keeping with the Guldsmeden brand, the roomy residential lairs here have Balinese touches. These distinctive spaces, complete with four-poster beds and kitchenettes, still feel modern, with plenty of wood—flooring, furniture, louvered blinds—that contrast with the bathroom’s gleaming white tilework. Sofa beds make the suites solid bets for families and large groups of friends. And the shower goodies? Are they the kind of thing you might like to take home?Toiletries are by I Love Eco, Guldsmeden Hotels’ house line of eco-friendly products. What are the dining options on site?Pool bar and organic bites in the lounge. Anything else we should know about staying here?If the magical pool area gets too crowded, head to the rooftop terrace and enjoy the relative solitude of the sauna and comfy sun loungers." - Alia Akkam

The pool area is beautiful and the rooftop has a great vibe. I do however think that this doesn't deserve the price that it is or the rating. It wasn't spectacular, which is what I expected. The gym was great. The breakfast buffet was good. The sauna, spa, pool etc was great. The service was really lovely. The room did lack the oomph you would expect from a hotel of this calibre.

The pool area in the hotel looks great and no doubt is what attracts all the visitors but other than the great design elements, we found this hotel to be very poor. The room was dirty - as you can see from the pictures, and the service was largely not even available. There was something wrong with the shower as it kept switching from hot to cold (room 509) which made showering super unpleasant. Waiting for the elevator, we had to listen in on a young receptionist plan a date with a hotel guest. At the pool area - you had to call for the bartender who half the time did not bother coming. Once we did get a hold of a bartender, he told us that he couldn’t be bothered making any cocktails past 9 pm - quick drinks only. My fiancee had his birthday and as I do every year in every hotel we stay at for his birthday, I asked the hotel to arrange for a cake slice from their restaurant (in exchange of payment ofcourse) - this was an impossible task for this 5 star hotel. So the service was giving young Danes at their first job not caring too much about it. And that would be completely fair for a 3 star hotel but not for a 5 star hotel with a hefty price tag. Also recommend skipping the massage services- they were nice enough but again nowhere near worth the money. The only bit we enjoyed was the location of the hotel - it was super easy to get around. But even then - you are next to a busy highway so if you’re a sensitive sleeper then probably not the best location.

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had.|From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely top-notch. Every single member of staff—from the front desk to the bar to the restaurant—was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. You can tell this hotel takes hospitality seriously.||The rooms? Stunning. Every detail felt carefully thought-out and luxurious without being over the top. The entire hotel strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and refined. We loved everything about it.||We’ve already decided—we’re coming back. This is the kind of place you never forget.||Huge thanks for an unforgettable stay! 🙌✨

We had a fantastic stay at Manon Les Suites. The hotel is stunning, with beautifully designed rooms and an incredible pool area. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the overall facilities exceeded our expectations. The staff were absolutely amazing —welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth really added to the overall experience. The only downside was the room we stayed in, which was directly opposite the pool area. Unfortunately, the sound insulation wasn't great, and we could hear quite a bit of noise from both the pool and the street outside, even when using earplugs. It didn’t ruin the stay, but it’s something to keep in mind when booking. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with just a small caveat regarding noise. We’d definitely return, ideally to a quieter room.

Very friendly young staff. Good service overall although the breakfast serving staff seemed very anxious to get everything cleared away on the dot of 11am which spoils the relaxed vibe somewhat. The rooms, which are set up as suites, are pretty good with super comfortable beds and very nice bedding. The pool in the central atrium is obviously the main attraction but only has six relaxing beds so quite hard to get one. It has a very “cool young couples” vibe. The rooms all open onto the pool atrium. So you can hear the very loud Euro pop repetitive music played from the pool right in your room from about 5 pm through to the late evening. Some reviewers complain about the hotel being on a big noisy road, but we were lucky to overlook a residential street. The area where most improvement is required is the food. We ate there one evening during our day and the dinner menu was very limited and the food itself very poor.

Lovely staff attentive staff. Pool area was always clean with fresh towels whenever we went down. We were always able to find a chair when we went down. We had a minor issue on check in when an extra bed we'd requested hadn't been set up- the staff immediately came to see the issue and arranged a convenient time to set it up. Rooms were lovely, spa area was clean with free salt scrub that made my skin feel so soft. The staff were amazing and gracious with all guests and the hotel didn't feel too busy.

The hotel was beautiful and the pool, the pool was incredible. It felt like an oasis in the middle of the city. I will say there are some aspects that seemed tacky to me, and not in line with the general decor. One example of the faux hide stickers on the front desk and elevator area. Ugly and cheap. The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. I love the toiletries and extras they offer such as the water bottle. It’s very thoughtful. I would definitely stay again, just for the pool!

Had an amazing stay here. Shared a pool side suite with my best friend. Bed was big enough and had separate duvets/covers. The hotel was in walking distance of 2 metro stations and lots of good food places nearby. Pre-registration was helpful and made check in faster. The hotel is discreetly placed between 2 buildings making it look tiny on the outside - don't be fooled. The place is huge. The pool was amazing, a great temperature. As was the whole building. There's plenty of seating around the pool and the beds were regularly available. We had breakfast incl. and it was great. There was a bit of everything and refreshed on a regular basis. They had all drinks and even had prosecco for a morning mimosa. The restaurant was nice, although we never ate in the restaurant, we were able to order food to the pool one evening. I'd also recommend the fruit smootie as it was so delicious. The sauna/steam room on the top floor were also worth a visit. I imagine it being very busy on the roof in the summer sun. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size for us. It had 2 toilets and the shower was great. Also had a bunch of snacks/drinks that were free - you only pay for anything you order beyond what was already there! Bed was comfy and there were 2 tv's in the room. I will definitely be back because it was perfect.

Yelp
I would usually give a place like this 5 stars if not 10 stars. The hotel is very unique, eclectic and different. The pictures of the pool and garden look like they are from the Garden of Eden. Some small issues that caused it to drop a point. My room was next to the restaurant which has its advantages for a quick breakfast, a nice drink but the walls were thin and you could hear the music till 3 am which made it hard to sleep. The hotel itself is visually stunning and a great sendation for the eyes. The breakfast while expensive had a complete selection. The gym was nice but hard to workout when they had 20 people doing boxing training left and right. This place gives the vibe of a new age, conscious and environmentally responsible and sustainable hotel. I'm not someone who easily gets upset or triggered and while I do understand that hunters have a right to hunt. Each floor has the head of a Deer, a Moose, hanging from the wall in the stairwell. I do realize that taxonomy is an art and hunters use these as a mark of their trophy. I'm not a vegetarian nor an animal activist or some crazy left ideologue but to see these majestic animals decapitated on every floor hanging on the wall staring and piercing into your soul. It was bit heartbreaking. It seems also a bit at odds with the whole environmentally, conscious sustainable theme that the hotel is striving for. I do realize that this is just my opinion. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond.

Yelp
known now as Les Manon Suites... totally renovated with flat screen tvs now and fridges ..with free coffee /tea service in the room. typical european hotel with an organic touch i must say....elevator is a bit small but walls are covered in some kind of animal hide. the pool and jungle fish area was simply amazing. indoor and heated...the water was crystal clear and the ambiance gabe the impression of being in a jungle oasis.... bfast was truly scandinavian in every word....smoked salmon with organic bread, various dried fruits and nuts, milk for coffee and not cream, honey, figs, cheeses, pastries, etc...each item was wow! special mention to the croissants and bread...just heavenly melts in your mouth every bite. this is what europe is all about. staff , specially KIM, the manager was very hospitable and accommodating. made our stay as pleasant as possible and immediately resolved even the smallest issues that we had. location was central to dt copenhagen..,10mins walk...away from the crowds...but close to the action and essentials... a bit on the pricier side, but worth the experience! would surely stay again next time... cheers! happy travels!

Yelp
Pretty rad eco friendly hotel with pool and gym access. Good location near parks and restaurants and about a 15 minute walk from the metro. We stayed here with a toddler and it was really nice to have elevator access and two section rooms for division of sleep spaces. The interior decor is very hip, functional, and high quality. I loved the modern showers and the AV equipment. Good couches for lounging. Very nice toiletries to use. Super friendly and helpful front desk staff that spoke great English. Reasonably priced stay. We would return.

Yelp
A good 3 star hotel. Queen beds are really two twins together in a frame- so gap in middle and lumpy etc- worse sleep ever. They play LOUD music in interior pool/courtard weekdays begins at 11a Sunday at 9:15a! Claim to be environmental so lights and power need your key card- and housekeeping removes- so no charging of your devices while you are out. Front desk people are excellent. Would give less stars but room furnishing/design are nice

Yelp
Love the rooms on the top with terraces. Beds great! Staff is so accommodating and kind, and it's a cool design with a nice pool and daybeds on the first floor with an open atrium the glass roof. Stay Close to sauna and steam as well As the organic resterant, way rooms Ar 6th floor It's like a holiday in the city and nothing like a great steam and dry sauna before hitting the hay in a comfy bed. Nice energy in this place. Price is great for what you get. It's an all organic hotel so don't expect four seasons or Ritz-Carlton but it works with every day life! Highly recommend it.
