Manor House Lindley

Have eaten in the lantern room a few times now and it’s such a fab experience. James (I think that’s his name) is great and always makes you feel welcome. The food last week was amazing from start to finish. Always have the sourdough!! We ate here before Christmas last year too and everything was great apart from the tiramisu wing a bit boring. But i would highly recommended it and definitely save room for the cheese and biscuits!

When looking for a venue for lunch/afternoon tea, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that what I was looking for was at The Manor House in Lindley, Huddersfield. We were greeted on Sunday with smiles and a lovely Yorkshire welcome, with a table near the window and couldn't wish for more. Straight forward menu with the option of prosecco and champagne and a choice of several teas : Rooibios is fresh, fruity and delicious. Three layers of cakes, scones, savouries were presented and more than adequate - take-away box required. Beautiful, almost oriental styled room with a combination of Chesterfields, tables and banquettes to choose from. Highly recommend - it's Georgian heritage, with a cool vibe, ideal for all ages. We'll be back.

We decided to spend a night at The Manor House on the 23rd December and what a a really nice time we had, from our arrival and the lovely welcome at front of house. |The cosy room with fab amenities like the| Jo Loves products, to the bathroom under floor heating. The restaurants were not open due to it being a Tuesday but on the doorstep of the hotel you have a nice selection places for drinks and food. We ended the night with a drink in the bar which had a fab vibe!|In the morning we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the Kitchen Bistro. This was included in the price of our room, as we opted for B&B basis. Room only is also an option and to pay in advance, which allows for a discounted price. We took advantage of this.|Definitely will be back to this fabulous boutique hotel. We were thinking in the warmer weather, as there is a rooftop bar to sample. |Also we were advised the hotel does a great Sunday Lunch. 10/10 in every which way.

Stayed for one night to meet up with good friends. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly, location was very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic. We stayed in room 5 - really disappointing. Very Small room with poor facilities. Kettle and coffee machine in cupboard but no plugs, so need to move to small table in room…. Water leaked from coffee machine all over top (our friends in room 7) exact same. No real dressing table with mirror…. Tatty chair, at table - but no where for us both to sit in room other than bed, to enjoy a coffee. Bathroom classy and spacious, but no where to put toiletries etc. other than window ledges. shower looked good but pretty average. Woken before 7 as bridal party getting ready in adjacent function room - not ideal. Would definitely not stay again - our friends along the corridor in room 7 were also disturbed early am by bridal party in function room. Disappointing

Great car park. Dining room a little dark for my taste. Went for Sunday Lunch and the food was delicious. Could have done with a sharper knife for the roast beef. Slightly disapointed with the roast potatoes wasnt sure if they were frozen. Excellent service from all staff.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Superb value – five-star service at a three-star price! I was genuinely impressed by this little independently run hotel. The attention to detail is fantastic — you can tell they’ve really thought about every part of the guest experience, and they’ve come very close to perfecting it. The place looks great, but what really stood out was the staff. They’re clearly trained to make guests feel welcome, and it shows in every interaction. From start to finish, everything was excellent. Incredible service, warm hospitality, and outstanding value for money. Highly recommended!

Our first visit & definitely won’t be our last, Staff are attentive & very polite , had amazing meal / excellent wine in the lantern restaurant, stayed in room 7 immaculately clean & the detail is splendour. The bar area is fantastic & welcoming. Five stars isn’t enough for this place .
