Manorbier Castle

Loved this little gem of a place. Lovely castle to walk around and explore, plenty for the kids to play with. Typical castle with tight steep steps up the towers, but very manageable with great views. The coffee shop was superb, the coffee exquisite, and the sausage rolls were sublime! The ladies are really friendly and welcoming. With a short walk to the beach this was definitely a winner for a day out with the kids. Highly recommend!

Wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, went with my grandparents and ended up being here for 2 hours + views from the castle is beautiful and the castle itself is so interesting. Ended up getting a cake and a drink was happy with the prices there also ! Would 100% recommend

£4.50 for each of us to enter ( as seniors) which I thought was very reasonable. Beautiful castle with lots of it still intact and able to access . Small cafe , but nice choices of food and drink and ice cream etc. Lovely friendly lady serving. However lost a star because of no rope/ rail up stairs to the tower. Unfortunately I didn't go up the final steps to top of tower as there was nothing to hold onto.

Consists of mainly a walled off grass covered courtyard with access to various parts of the old castle. You can access the dungeon, crypt, and the old tower which was also used by the RAF during the 2nd World War.

Fantastic castle. The garden games were a nice touch too. It was £20 entry for two adults & two children

Went to a wedding here. A beautiful and historic setting, although the venue was very cold in the day. It warmed up by night when the dancing started. Not a large site but I loved that you could explore one of the towers giving beautiful views across the countryside, beach and bay. A nice little path through the adjacent woods is also accessible.

What a special place! We have been a number of times over the last 12 month and love it! It is the most beautiful castle, with the most spectacular views. The history of the place is fascinating, and there are regular events open to all which are well worth getting involved in! As well as this, we had the absolute joy of getting married at manorbier castle just last week, and what a special day the team made it! Debbie and the team worked tirelessly to turn our vision into reality, and we will forever be grateful to them for helping us achieve such a perfect day! The castle is absolutely spectacular and well worth a visit regardless, but if you're considering a wedding here, absolutely go for it, we cannot recommend enough!

We just wanted to share our amazing experience at Manorbier castle on the 08/06/24. We booked our wedding here at least 18 months in advance & we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have chosen such a perfect destination to get wed! We want to say the biggest thank you ever to our wedding coordinator (Debbie Lunt) who has been there for us from day one of booking the wedding! Throughout the 18 months she had checked in with us regularly to ensure our wedding planning was going smoothly & ensure suppliers were all booked in time. We had built such a good rapport with Debbie through her continuous support & making everything just so perfect for our big day! Even on the day when things hadn’t gone to plan with our suits, she maintained such a calming persona & went out of her way to ensure everything was sorted in time! We can’t thank you enough for all your efforts in making our day so perfect! Your work ethic, communication skills & personality combined are just so perfect for your role, you really are amazing @ what you do. The castle was beautifully maintained & really set the tone with all the flowers & gardening that had taken place previously. We had so many compliments on the scenery & the calm tone it set. All the staff @ the castle during the weekend were pleasant & welcoming. We had the best 3 day stay at the castle grounds over the duration of our wedding. I’d like to point out we were also offered into the castle free of charge a good few times prior to our wedding date to show family around etc. which was very generous of the staff here. All round 5 star review. Absolutely stunning destination! We would highly recommend a wedding here, overnight stay or even a day visit!

Small (which is why it only gets 3 stars) but beautiful castle. It doesn't take a long time to look round but it is in a wonderful situation overlooking the bay with lovely views. You can go on a small tour and climb some stone stairways and then wave at the vertigo fearing person (me) who is enjoying the sunshine and the flowers in the garden. The castle was used to film a recent version of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and Dodie Smith's I capture the castle for which the moat was filled. Great beach nearby.

This is a lovely castle set just off from Manorbier beach. When you walk in there is a lovely garden in the middle of the castle with the walls all around it. Parts of the castle are a bit broken down bit you can still go into rooms and climb some of the stairs. If you go into some of the towers you can get a great biew of the beach. If you like castles or history this is worth a look.
