As a lover of history and architecture this was the perfect place. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we felt as if we were home, everyone was so genuinely nice. One of my favorite things about staying at a boutique hotel/B&B is socializing with other guests, and our experience at the Mansion didn't disappoint. Great house, great staff, great breakfast, great time!

The mansion is very beautiful with very friendly staff. Upon entry we were treated warmly and given a tour pointing out some of the historic parts of the home. The room is beautiful, clean and the beds are comfortable. We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Gorgeous mansion converted to B & B. Beautiful well cared for wood work. Original leaded glass windows in lobby and hand laid tile in entry way. Stunning Italian crystal chandelier. Rife with history and small surprises like hidden speak easy panels. We were greeted by a lovely woman who welcomed us graciously and gave us a detailed tour of the home. Our room, the executive suite was lovely, especially the bathroom, but I honestly wished we had booked the smaller room beside it, as the executive suite had a lot of wasted space, but that's my preference. Definitely a winner. Will return!

Lovely place, if you have time, get the historic tour done. some of it is under renovation as that's understandable because of its age. it is very nice and comfortable and cozy. complimentary breakfast was very good. overall great stay, and good for couples. also it is in a good walking distance from the shopping district.

The mansion is beautiful. We were welcomed with fresh chocolate chip cookies and a tour of the mansion. I liked hearing the historic details, but if you're not into that, the tour is optional. The room was very clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful house and rooms, tour is quite interesting. Stayed in room 3, the beds were incredibly noisy through the night, but the linens and blankets provided were quick nice. Breakfast served the next day was ok and complimentary, but the eggs were odd tasting.

Friendly staff, interesting history, very clean (a must to me!) good breakfast. I was a little nervous after reading some negative reviews, but found the reviews to be nit-picky. Don't hesitate to stay here based on the negatives...most of them have either been fixed, or weren't really problems. It was a great one day get away for a busy Pastor and pastor's wife from Butler area.

I reserved the Shadyside Suite for my mother and I for a girls'weekend in the 'Burgh about a week in advance through a travel site. We chose a bed and breakfast intentionally to personalize our stay more than a major chain hotel. (Not to mention my mom loves B&B's. This was my first stay in one though.) Upon our arrival we were greeted by a member of the mansion staff who was all smiles despite the dreary, rainy evening. We unloaded our bags in the lobby and were greeted again inside with fresh baked cookies and a brief historical tour of the property complete with peeks into the prohibition era hidey-holes in the walls of the house. No bell-hops, so we had to haul our bags up to the third floor, but the house was gorgeous and made our stay feel much more like crashing with friends than staying at a hotel. There were Keurigs available to us 24-hours a day and staff was available to us from about 6:00am to 10:00pm. The rooms were very clean and the staff clearly took pride in the mansion. It's an old house so we could hear people in the hallway while in our room, but couldn't hear anything below us or on the first floor. Very, very restful. The staff recommended local restaurants which resulted in a VERY delicious dinner within a short walk to the mansion. If you would prefer to drive, the mansion offers free parking right out front. Breakfast was on the simple side, but the food was delicious and once again, the staff were so gracious and pleasant. My mother and I agree that a bit of light music to break up the silence amongst the tables of guests trying not to eavesdrop on one another may be a nice addition to the dining room, but it was a lovely start to the day. I would love to go back to eat breakfast on the porch in the summer! We really enjoyed our stay with the Maple Heights Team and would love to go back. It met our needs for a long, relaxing weekend perfectly. The staff checked with us whenever we were passing by to ensure our stay was everything we hoped for. I can't recommend this facility highly enough!
