As a lover of history and architecture this was the perfect place. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left we felt as if we were home, everyone was so genuinely nice. One of my favorite things about staying at a boutique hotel/B&B is socializing with other guests, and our experience at the Mansion didn't disappoint. Great house, great staff, great breakfast, great time!

The mansion is very beautiful with very friendly staff. Upon entry we were treated warmly and given a tour pointing out some of the historic parts of the home. The room is beautiful, clean and the beds are comfortable. We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Gorgeous mansion converted to B & B. Beautiful well cared for wood work. Original leaded glass windows in lobby and hand laid tile in entry way. Stunning Italian crystal chandelier. Rife with history and small surprises like hidden speak easy panels. We were greeted by a lovely woman who welcomed us graciously and gave us a detailed tour of the home. Our room, the executive suite was lovely, especially the bathroom, but I honestly wished we had booked the smaller room beside it, as the executive suite had a lot of wasted space, but that's my preference. Definitely a winner. Will return!

We recently stayed at the Inn. We enjoyed our stay and really were pleased how easy it was to get to the different museums and tell National Avery and Zoo from this location. We love to walk Neighborhoods and we felt safe and it was just a short walk to shops and food. The Inn is quiet and the back porch is delightful. The chefs breakfast was simple, delicious, and personalized. They plan to keep upgrading. So enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh.

Lovely place, if you have time, get the historic tour done. some of it is under renovation as that's understandable because of its age. it is very nice and comfortable and cozy. complimentary breakfast was very good. overall great stay, and good for couples. also it is in a good walking distance from the shopping district.

Beautiful house and rooms, tour is quite interesting. Stayed in room 3, the beds were incredibly noisy through the night, but the linens and blankets provided were quick nice. Breakfast served the next day was ok and complimentary, but the eggs were odd tasting.

Friendly staff, interesting history, very clean (a must to me!) good breakfast. I was a little nervous after reading some negative reviews, but found the reviews to be nit-picky. Don't hesitate to stay here based on the negatives...most of them have either been fixed, or weren't really problems. It was a great one day get away for a busy Pastor and pastor's wife from Butler area.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was fantasticly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made to order. It isn't in the most scenic area of Pittsburgh, but it is very conveniently located if you are visiting Pitt or Carnegie Mellon. Very quiet at night, no trouble with room temperature which can be a concern in older buildings.
