Mansion House Inn on Martha's Vineyard

We used to stay at local b&bs but this was less expensive & one of the best places we have *ever* stayed! The room was simply lovely and so very comfortable. The staff was so friendly & helpful, especially Michelle. It's located right in the heart of Vineyard Haven and the town is easily walkable. Lots of great shops & restaurants and we enjoyed the fact that the summer crowds were done.

Our family has stayed here multiple times. The hotel has a great location with parking behind the building for guests. We are a family of 6 and their family suite suits us perfectly. We have a great time visiting the island and we will certainly be back. The large heated lap pool, fitness center, and observation deck are also a big hit!

From the moment we walked in until the moment we checked out, this was the perfect place for us. The warm and inviting staff and incredible amenities and views on the upper deck were breathtaking. Our room was cute and cozy. This place was immaculate. The little porch outside with the rocking chairs was one of my favorite spots as I watched the town on Main Street. Everything was such a short distance to walk to and the public transportation was amazing. After seeing fireworks on Saturday night I met a wonderful woman named Michelle, who was at the front desk and was so genuine and helpful. I did not want to leave and I want to return immediately. I am so in love with this place. This was a much needed vacation for myself and my two daughters. We found peace and joy and beauty all around this place and the team there is top-notch. They truly want their guests to have a wonderful experience, inviting them into their establishment. I cannot wait to go back. The top deck is huge and so serene overlooking the harbor and the little private porch outside the room is nostalgic- it is a part of me now! I’ll be back soon! THANK YOU

Chris at the front desk and Bryan the General Manager were welcoming and always asking if we needed anything. We had several hours to kill before our scheduled ferry time so we did some shopping near the Mansion house. They told us we could use their fitness center to freshen up before getting on the ferry. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating

We had such a wonderful stay at The Mansion House! The hotel is exceptionally clean and very accommodating. We loved learning about the history of the mansion and enjoyed seeing the old black-and-white photos displayed throughout the property.||The breakfast lounge is a great bonus—perfect for enjoying a quiet moment, getting a little work done, or simply relaxing with a book. The rooftop was one of our favorite spots, with its beautiful views overlooking the port, the water dotted with boats, and the charm of Vineyard Haven town.||A special thank you to Michelle at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had a wonderful stay in early July. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and our room was perfect for our family. The location couldn’t have been better—ideal for all the activities we had planned. The only downside was being woken up both mornings at 5 a.m. by an unattended alarm clock in the room next door. Our room was on the first floor, facing Beech Street. While convenient, the road noise was a bit loud for us, so I’d recommend requesting a higher floor or a room on the Main Street side for a quieter experience.

We were thrilled to discover that we had been upgraded to a sea view room, offering a stunning view of the harbor. Thank you! Enjoyed the rooftop view as well. On Main Street in Vineyard Haven and convenient to the downtown bus stop. Includes continental breakfast. The next-door restaurant is elegant and has a nice menu.

This is a cute inn, very close to the vineyard haven ferry dock. The place is surprisingly large with 4 floors and 5-8 rooms on each floor. The rooms overlooking the ocean have a balcony while the others don't. We got a corner room which was spacious, clean, and perfect for a two-night stay for a couple. Our room was connected to the 2 adjacent rooms via an in-room door that was locked throughout our stay. Occasionally, we heard the children in the adjacent room but it wasn't during odd hours so it did not disturb us. The best thing about staying here is full and free access to their health club which includes a full scale gym, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and spa. During our visit, the gym was less busy but the pool and sauna had a constant stream of both in-house guests as well as health club members. The spa was closed for the season. The staff is attentive and friendly. We got a detailed recommendation of restaurants, public transport and commute routes, and things to do in MV over the weekend. There is a stop & shop right next door to the hotel which is very convenient. Also, there's a bunch of restaurants and local stores close by. We visited early in the season and as such many of these were closed often making us take the trip to oaks bluff, which is the larger and more vibrant neighborhood with lot more restaurants being open there. The hotel does not have its own parking but there is a parking lot right in front of the stop & shop next door. Overall, would recommend this place to those visiting the island and looking for a clean stay with resort-live amenities.

Paid for a water view got a room facing the town. Asked them to refund the difference and they refused. He actually said "it's. On a first come basis". Definitely not the room in the picture!

Staff not at all attentive at the front desk. Four of us, when leaving after a few days,, said goodbye and thank you to the three people at the desk gave no response or acknowledgment. Too busy talking. Room was clean except for ceiling fan in bathroom. Caked with dust. Disappointed with hospitality.

This is my second time going and this time around it was a nightmare. The service really changes from winter to spring. Our waterview king suite with sofa bed was not as described in the photos on the site. The room was small for a suite. The amenities are also slim. Breakfast still isn't available, not even for a surcharge. This is very frustrating, and surprising, given most hotels do offer that. My friend and I had to bring our own food and snacks. I had to ask in advance for a microwave to be put in my room. Also, the fridge didn't work so they had to bring a new one up which took awhile. The linen is VERY rough and it dries your skin out. I woke up everyday with dry, itchy skin. They use white sheets so whatever cleaning solution they use is way too harsh. It would be better if the sheets were pure cotton instead of polyester. If you have sensitive skin then I would bring my own sheets. Apparently, they also get ants in the spring and summer. We got to experience that firsthand when a stray piece of bacon became ground zero overnight. When I called down to the front desk they sent someone up with Hot Shot bug spray. She was not nice or pleasant at all. The bug spray dripped all over the floor and got into a cut on my foot that I had gotten from the balcony door. I had to go down for the spray again since they all weren't killed. The assistant manager came up and at least she apologized. However, there was no offer to change our room and housekeeping never came. Who wants to sleep in an ant infested room? So by the afternoon me and my friend decided we had enough. We left a day early. Most of the staff are amazing and helpful like Lisa, but the hotel is not worth the $400+ a night. I would expect a pest free environment and better amenities for that price. A 3 star hotel should not be charging 4/5 star prices. It breaks my heart to say this, but I don't recomend them and I definitely won't be returning.

Everyone we interacted with during our 3 night stay was lovely and super helpful. We arrived later than normal and hungry. While I went to park the car, one of the women checking us in said "I'll call around a find you a place for dinner." Very kind. Extra blankets, towels and recommendations were easy. The breakfast isn't fancy but a nice touch. Tons of traffic for the health club. I'm guessing it's even busier in the summer. We used three pool and the hot tub and enjoyed both. I found the hotel to be spotless, spacious and comfortable. A place I'd stay again and recommend.

Great location! Very short walk from the Vineyard Haven ferry. Hotel staff was very courteous. Hotel and rooms were very clean and well maintained. The front of house staff was very knowledgeable about all things from restaurants, shopping, transportation, and entertainment. If you are lucky enough to drive on to the island, the hotel has their own parking lot. They have a typical continental breakfast. The nightly rate is at the higher end of the average price for hotels on the island, but the Mansion House hotel is well worth it when you are comparing relative rates. There is also a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel if you need a late night beverage or if the weather gets nautical. We will definitely stay at the Mansion House again.

I loved my experience at this spa! I called and because they were servicing other clients I had to call and leave a voicemail but they called back within 10 mins or so and it was very easy to get an appointment next day. My masseuse was named Lorraine and she was so good last year when we visited the island that I requested her again. I've had plenty of massages and none of them compare. I've talked about my massage from last year ALL YEAR LONG and imagine my excitement to know that after a years time she was back for the summer. I felt renewed and I can't say enough about her professionalism and expertise. You will not regret your massage here because you can tell the staff is passionate about what they do. Easily the best massage I've ever had. I'll add that my sister also came with me last year and this year and she had an amazing experience as well. We will keep coming back for sure.

The pool was the filthiest thing I've ever seen! The hot tub was broken and the place was just so disgusting!!!!!!!!! I will never return. I met a few ladies who are members of the health club who said this is how it always is but no one listens.

Make sure if you're not an American (or just anyone really) that you call to confirm your booking! My fiance booked a suite for us at Mansion House for Memorial Day weekend, but when we got on the island at around 5PM or so we went to the front desk and they said our booking was cancelled by the manager and they gave away our room. The claim was we received a call(s) and/or an e-mail saying that his out of country card was declined and that just wasn't true. We spent an hour checking phone records and digging through our e-mails and didn't find a single one from the hotel. We didn't even find a declined e-mail or text from his bank or an automated cancellation e-mail from their website. What made it even more frustrating was we were tired after driving for 5 hours and I'm pregnant - they had 0 rooms left which you would think they'd just downgrade us to a smaller room if they were scared they'd not get paid for a suite, but the lady at the front desk said "they're very popular" so I don't see how they would've had a problem re-booking if they lost one night even if we didn't show up. They pointed us to a dingy motel looking space a block away which one look we said absolutely not. We ended up quickly poking around Google last minute hoping any inn on the island would have space for us and ended up staying in a super a cute inn at downtown Oak Bluffs with a car rental across the street. The guy on the phone was really accommodating and after we explained that Mansion House just cancelled our reservation with no warning he put their last room with a queen size bed on hold for us. Oak Bluffs is a better location anyways since it's in the middle of all the action - I would not book Mansion House EVER again just from that experience, even if it was the last inn with space on the island; I'd rather rent a house.

we enjoyed an off-season getaway and Mansion Inn was the right choice. We walked in and were greeted by the most genuine and hospitable Lisa. Rooms we're clean, well stocked and comfortable. It's located right there on Main Street and a few minutes walk from the ferry stop.

Amazing service Dillon and Emma are the best at making sure my stay is more than perfect!

We got the couples package for a facial, pedicure and a massage and it was amazing. Kim, the masseus, was exceptional, and one of the best most relaxing facials we have gotten

We have stayed at the Mansion House many times. We love the accommodations and always feel very welcome by staff. This time we brought our dog and are staying in one of the pet friendly rooms. The staff even left our dog food and water bowls and a bed ! We appreciate the warm welcome and are grateful for making everyone feel so special. Great location and the pool is always a treat !

Great staff good gym, has sauna, Steamroom and lots of good stuff for a day trip to MV.

Physically the building is nice enough and while there, we had positive interactions with the staff. However, at check-out our room rate was changed without notice and we received an unexpected charge over $100 due to information being verbally relayed to us incorrectly during check-in (we were told an upgrade to a larger room would be $100 total for our stay, not $100 per night). Staff were unwilling to discuss the miscommunication after the fact. Also turns out they had not correctly documented the number of guests when we made our reservation over the phone, despite lengthy conversations about sleeping accommodations for our kids. Similar drawn out conversations happened about the upgrade where we asked MULTIPLE times that the upgrade was a total of $100, not nightly. We should not have to pay for two errors staff made when making our reservation (1. Not documenting the number of guests accurately, 2. Providing us with an inaccurate cost of the upgrade). If you read any reviews about issues with televisions not working, it is 100% accurate. They don't seem to have enough functional remotes for all of the rooms. So pack a Samsung remote or your Amazon Firestick if you want to use the televisions in the rooms.

I am a spa and massage connoisseur so trust me to skip this one. The environment is anything but "spa" and tracing and for the prices on the services you'd expect it not to be so run down. The message bed had little cushioning on it and was creaky. I had asked for firm pressure on my massage and my massage therapist informed me that "if you want firm you have to upgrade to a deep tissue." As anyone who frequently gets massages knows, this is not accurate. You can get a firm pressure Swedish massage, deep tissue is a different type of massage style and technique all together. And for the massage itself, id say probably the worst one I've gotten, at least stateside. I was definitely under the impression my therapist was not properly trained. Long story short, it is overpriced and not high quality services. I'd avoid and try a different spa on the island.

I stay on island a lot for work, and try to keep costs down for my company. Since it was off season, I was able to stay here for $120/night and decided to give it a try. I love that it's in Vineyard Haven since so much is open in the winter. The service was great, room clean and comfortable, and they had free parking off street! My only complaint was that the restaurant in the hotel, Copper Wok, was less than acceptable. Luckily there are some great options right on Main Street. I will definitely be staying again, and hopefully will have time to try the spa next time.

Please don't book at this hotel unless you want to be treated unprofessionally, receive horrendous customer service and have the manager hand you over the plunger to unplug your own hotel room toilet. We were visiting for an event and had to stay at this hotel. Customer service is non existence at this place. The manager has a nasty attitude and needs a lot of training for basic human interaction and people skills.

We had a great stay here, every employee we encountered was helpful and friendly. Our room was cozy and comfy, and very clean. They're very in tune with the fact that so many guests travel by ferry and show up in large numbers, and they worked quickly to get a bunch of groups checked in early on a very hot August day. Wonderful location for shopping and restaurants. Not far to walk to the ferry and the shuttle buses.

The people at the Mansion House are what makes it 5 star. From the owners, to the General Manager, to each and every employee, they care. The hotel is right in the middle of town, close to the boat, restaurants, public buses and beaches. I've stayed at all of the hotels on the Vineyard, some are fancier, but none are as friendly and convenient as The Mansion House.

We had a lovely getaway at the Mansion House Inn. The exuberant welcome from the reception staff set the tone for a lovely long weekend visit. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist in any manner needed. Our room was comfy and extremely clean. Coffee in the morning, along with some breakfast goodies was an added surprise. We look forward to making an annual, if not more trip to the Mansion House Inn.

The top (4th) floor room view of the harbor is great, only surpassed by the 5th floor rooftop lounge with it's 360^ view. Close to all that Main St. VH has to offer (tourist type shops). The room had a bath/shower and a separate shower. Spacious, clean, well kept with a powerful medium size fridge next to a convenient deep sink. We did not care for the bed, the non-functional fireplace and tiny balcony, else MH would have earned 5 stars. Don't bother bringing a car, buses and cabs work well. Traffic is a problem.

Phenomenal service. Everyone was so kind and polite. Very clean amd veey accomodating. Needed a weekend getaway and i got it. Highly recommend Mansion House. Staff was amazing!

We stayed for the weekend in late July and it was a great experience. So clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room size was perfect for two on a short getaway. I will most definitely stay here again when we return. So many restaurants and shops a short walk from the hotel, and close to the ferry terminal.

My husband works on the island, and from time to time, I will go over to give him a break in the commute. This is one of my favorite places to stay! Rooftop is so awesome and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel. I did use the spa services, and while it was nice, it was a little to much money for a manicure.

Customer service was horrible at Mansion House. I had heard some positive reviews but also a few mixed reviews before booking. However, now I understand why it had the negative feedback. Recently, my husband and I got his parents a trip to Cape Cod as special celebration but they ended up trying to check in hotel with the response that they can't find their reservation and nothing is available. I called the hotel and spoke with Jason who started off very dismissive and the least bit willing to listen or help. I explained the situation and how I had gotten confirmation with hotels.com and with their own hotel staff that this booking was confirmed. I even emailed the confirm - which he kept insisting is not valid. I understand situations like this may happen when you book thru a 3rd party such as hotels.com but my in laws had no issue in previous hotel property. Highly disappointing that the Mansion rep (Jason) did not even try to offer alternatives until I asked to speak with his supervisor and he said there may be two nights available. My in laws traveled hours to get to their hotel and they are clearly old. The level of customer service to even explore options or even to say I'm so sorry that it's sold out and that this booking somehow did not go thru ....it was more of attitude that we are busy and we are sold out so tough luck. I will never stay at this hotel ...and I will make sure I don't recommend this hotel to any friends who frequent the Cape. Fortunately, we were able to find another hotel that is relatively close and actually even nicer. So it worked out at the end but truly left bad taste in how they handle situations.

Perfect stay. Incredibly friendly people, felt right at home. Indoor pool, hot tub and workout center was very impressive. Suite we stayed in had beautiful views.

We're here for Columbus Day weekend and are already excited to come back. The rooms are beautiful, very home-y and extremely clean, you don't feel like you're staying in a hotel. Overall style of the entire hotel is like this as well. We had a rainy day here and stayed in our room for a big chunk of the day because it's so cozy! Also, complimentary umbrellas by the hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly and we can't speak more highly of them. Attentive, friendly, helpful. Complimentary breakfast, umbrellas, mini fridge in the rooms, balcony, the roof deck is gorgeous and housekeeping is wonderful. We got engaged this weekend and are looking forward to coming back to Mansion House next year to celebrate!

This is for the Spa only, we did not stay in the hotel. Truth be told, I have very mixed feelings about reviewing this place (which is a first for me). I guess I will start with the decor: Think nail salon meets neighborhood hair salon. Nothing overly plush or spa-like about this place. They try for a low end spa feel in the back room where the massages are but again it feels very haphazard. The bathroom is clean but no locker room, no shower. The room where the massage is performed is the only place that remotely feels like a spa. The massage: I had the 80 minute massage. The therapist was friendly and asked me all the right questions. She also did the best she could to fulfill my requests. The massage felt reminiscent of a chair massage. Not awful but definitely not great. Also, she oiled me up like I was going to be modeling in a body building magazine. I desperately needed a shower after the service. I don't think I would come back or recommend.

Excellent hotel. Clean and well kept charming rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Loved location with shops and restaurants right outside the front door. Favs were Copper Wok, Sweet Bites and Art Cliff Diner. Would stay again!

Just got back from a 5 day, 4 night stay at the Mansion house. We had the best time. When I called to book the room, Brian, the Front Desk Manager, suggested a suite since there were 4 of us including me, my wife and 2 sons ages 17 & 21. The room was spacious and clean. We had friends over to play cards on our deck one night too. The hotel was superb. The service was exceptional. The front desk employees call you by name days after you check in, a really nice touch. So many good things about this hotel including the morning coffee and treats, the rooftop deck and the location, close the everything! I can't wait to return!!!

Meh. Expensive for what you get. Common areas are lovely, the rooftop has wonderful views, but our room sounded like the wharf traffic was driving through it... for what we paid I would expect sound proofing of some kind! I don't think we will be staying here again.

I asked for a late checkout -- just an hour or so -- but was turned down. Denial for a reason is fine, and I would respect that. However, no reason was given other than "this is our policy." Furthermore, the front desk clerk stated that with a hostile attitude -- and this is the hospitality business?? I presented my case with the following reasons why I thought permission should be granted: on day-one of our stay there was no hot water in the room for about an hour when my wife and I needed to prepare for an event that evening. Also, the hair dryer burned out during use, and I was the one who had to install the replacement (wall unit type). This clearly should have been done by an engineer. So with those failed services it would have been appropriate to relax the no late checkout 'policy'. Upon checkout (last Sunday) when I confronted the manager, he gave me no logical reason for the denial, saying only that housekeeping needs to service all rooms asap. I mean how busy are they really on a Sunday with new arrivals? My retort was that housekeeping cannot possibly service every room in the hotel immediately and simultaneously just after official checkout time. Finally, in the most unprofessional and inhospitable manner imaginable, the manager simply walked away and shut his office door in my face. Truly pathetic! Buyer beware!

Great people, nice rooms! The rooms have a trundle bed in addition to a queen size which is a plus for families. It also has a rooftop deck with a great view of the harbor! It is within walking distance of much of downtown Tisbury, and has a bike shed. At night, it gets very quiet, which is surprising considering its proximity to downtown.

Though nothing about my stay was terrible, I definitely expected a bit more from Mansion House. It touts itself as a luxury hotel, but while I think it's probably nice for families, I wouldn't recommend it for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. It seems a bit run down and the decor is seriously lacking. The best example of this would be the large framed photograph of flowers potted in various juice cartons which hung on the wall in our room. We stared at that one for a long while. The size of the room was fine, the location was nice (especially if you don't have a car), and the staff was helpful, but I didn't find there to be anything particularly special about the place. I think because I was expecting, perhaps wrongly, a luxury hotel I was surprised, but it's not terrible for a regular, standard hotel.

PERFECT STAY EVERYTIME!!! Mansion house is ALWAYS our first choice when planning an overnight to MV. We've been staying at Mansion for years. Jim and his team have treated us as family since our first night, years ago. Since I have personal experience in the hotel restaurant industry, I know first-hand what it takes to be the best.How about complimentary wine and cheese with a personalized note welcoming us back, and remembering it was our favorite night of the year! (Oak Bluffs Fireworks Night).. Yes please! This review has been written to praise the Mansion House and their entire staff for incredible consistency, but more importantly to be the eyes and ears for anyone considering a stay at this magical island. Consider this review to be like a reliable message from a close friend. This is the place!! Enjoy!!

My stay at this establishment was ok, nothing to write home about. The room was cleaned and the housekeeper was about the nicest individual on the premises. She cared about the room being cleaned and at times even hurried up to make sure we had the room as soon as possible. The night we checked in, the gentleman at the front desk wasn't welcoming, though he greeted us after we greeted him, he did not display a client centric attitude. There was no one to help get our bags to our room, so after a long travel day to get to the mansion, we did that ourselves while the carts to carry the bags sat in the corner of the lobby. The next few mornings, as my wife and I walked down the stairs to go for breakfast, as a guest you'd expect to be greeted since there was someone occupying the desk, that wasn't so. We greeted him as if he was the guest and his response wasn't even friendly. That gentleman is different from the person who checked us in, he seemed like one of the owners or a manager, which would make this even worst. As we checked out to leave, I was asked by a young woman about my stay, and I immediately thought wow, for the first time, someone cared enough to ask, other than the housekeeper. By then it was too late and my response was a vague "good". I was too tired and had to leave, hence I didn't give my feedback then. I guess my expectations were set too high since the reviews seemed to be good prior to booking the place, I'm sorry to say based on my experience there, the mansion did not deliver in accordance to its reputation. As a Servant Leader and Vice President for a major financial firm in NY, I expect my team to be Client Obsessed with every client interaction every single day without exception. I expect the client to be engaged and GREETED with enthusiasm the moment they walk in, USE the client's NAME throughout the interaction, and be the first to THANK the client for their business. I just didn't feel like my wife and I received service remotely close to those expectations. The mansion does look really nice though, the owners just have to set expectations for a client centric attitude/environment to be displayed/created by all employees.

The spa has really gone down hill. Was here in 2010 and it was much better. Got a pedicure and noticed the file she used was super old. Limited colors too. She gave a good foot and leg massage though. Doesn't make up for the fact that she got red nail polish all over my big toe and it looks like I kicked something.

This a nice hotel with decent amenities and accommodating service. It is in a pretty good location with easy access to the steam boat ferry. The rooms are pretty spacious and very clean. The one gripe I had with the advertisement of the hotel is there description of their "Harbor views". Their Harbor views consist of looking out and seeing a telephone pole directly in front of a view that trees and building and just when your sick of looking at that at the edge of the horizon you pump into the sliver of ocean views they described on line.

We had scheduled treatments for all 6 people in the Bridal Party, varying from manicures to pricey massages. Unfortunately, the ferry schedule was not updated, and we were 20 minutes late for the appointments scheduled. I have worked at a spa before, and if the client is late the practitioner will do what the can with the time allotted. The behavior exhibited by this massage therapist (MT) was the least professional I have EVER experienced. Not only did she snap at her client, who was the BRIDE of which the MT was well aware, she continued to make TWO incredibly rude comments about the bride-to-be's clothing. I myself received a manicure, and was overcharged, which I realized a day late - and I had paid in cash so there was nothing to be done. Mistakes happen, but what really got me was that she rushed to the point of not rinsing off the exfoliating scrub and left the beads in my nail polish. We were glad to be out of there to say the least and will not be returning/

Beautiful place. The rooms were clean, spacious and bright. We even had a tiny balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. Private parking which is a major plus on the Vineyard. The fact that the locals used the gym there made it feel even warmer. Centrally located to a lot. Black dog and Motts all within walking distance. My husband and I both love photography. The rooftop provided us with exceptional views...the sunrise and ocean views were breathtaking. I look forward to my next visit. :)

We stayed here for 2 days in November, and reserved a pet friendly room for us and our 2 Cockapoos. It was exceptional. The room was clean. The beds were made up well and comfortable. The hotels had all the amenities we wanted. Better yet, it was close to a number of good restaurants so we could pickup meals and eat in- room. The only complaint was that they charged $75/dog - for a surcharge of $150 for our stay. I suggest that the surcharge should be only $75for having pets in the room - not based on the number of pets.

Stayed here for a week for my honeymoon. Room was large (t.v. could have been larger), mini fridge, nice big bathroom (tub could have been larger), a little balcony (not much of a view but we didn't feel like complaining) and a daybed. Everything was very clean, great housekeeping service (sort of like housekeeping ninjas who magically knew when we weren't in the room). They let us borrow a dvd player for the week at no charge. (Bring some Netflix movies as Vineyard Haven is a dry town and most of the island closes up at 7pm in the early fall.) More Pros: Great gym! Very nice staff! A 3 minute walk to the ferry from Woods Hole and ring in the middle of Vineyard Haven's quaint town.

This is a review of the health club. The place is a little weird. Everything is broken up into small rooms which are disconnected from one another; the layout is disjointed. None of the rooms are well ventilated. Solid list of equipment; very free weight, LOTS of treadmills and bikes. Ellipticals? Not so much. Three in the whole joint and they are always busy, which management might want to consider the next time they decide to buy yet another treadmill. Day passes are $15 and a week is $50; feels expensive to me for what they offer. Get this: towels cost extra. What? For $15 I can't even get a hand towel to wipe away sweat? That's pretty damn slimy.

Stayed here as a last minute anniversary trip with my girlfriend. We loved the place. We opted for the "King Bed w/ Water View Balcony, Wet bar, Breakfast and free use of Health club. On site Spa and Restaurant" room. To start, the location was great, walking distance from the ferry and plenty of shopping on the main street. Accommodations were very nice, the room was large and nicely appointed. It wasn't overly lavish, but had everything we needed, including a nice view of the ocean. We woke up this morning with the sun rising right at the foot of our bed. We didn't use the spa access, which came standard with our room, but the facilities looked beautiful. The free breakfast (full breakfast, not continental) was very good at Zephyrus; the attached restaurant. Zephyrus' dinner menu included entrees with many locally-sourced ingredients, the dishes sounded good, but we wanted to explore our options more thoroughly. It looked a bit overpriced as well... **Note to visitors of Vineyard Haven** This is a dry town, so bring a bottle of wine or pick one up in Oak Bluffs or Edgartown. Restaurants are BYOB as well. Overall Terrific: will definitely go back.

Love this place, clean, great location and reasonable rates. There are three other good reasons to stay here 1) workout facilities - everything you could need. 2) Zephyr restaurant has very good food 3) spa with facials, massage etc I can't think of any negatives, and i will stay there again

Heavenly heaven in Martha's Vinyard! Do make sure to make an effort to stay at The Mansion House Inn. The crew is amazing, the decor is comforting and location is a major plus! Especially, if you're traveling on the ferry to Vineyard Haven which is 4 blocks from The Mansion House Inn. There is no need for any improvement however few things should change immediately for safety reasons only. First & most importantly, do not put any wires in bathroom sink next to each other. Especially, the blow dryer. Especially, if children are staying the room (see picture example). Secondly, do not put the curtains right next to the air conditioning/heater (see picture). And last but not least, the cleaning crew should start cleaning the rooms as they should since the bed covers are dirty at all times and much more (see picture example). Remember, everyone notices these problems which brings major concerns. So we're pretty sure, The Mansion House Inn will take this matters into consideration. We know we did.
