Manta Ray Bay Resort & Yap Divers

First of all, Yap, Micronesia, is simply amazing. Clean, organized, almost manicured! So it's not surprise that its premiere diving resort would reflect the state in which it is located. The hotel is nice, a bit on the expensive side, but worth it. From the airport pick-up to the drop-off, everything is thought through with care. The rooms are ample, clean, and comfortable, although the pillows were lumpy. The restaurant on the boat was very good. I had breakfast there every day and dinner once. The chef is competent and produced flavorful meals. A very nice, friendly, and convenient service crowns the experience. I recommend!

I had an amazing stay at Manta Ray Bay Resort & Yap Divers from November 23-26, 2024. A huge thank you to Ferr and Brian for their hard work, dedication, and focus on keeping us safe while making sure we had as much fun as possible. The diving was incredible – some of the highlights of my two days out on the water included seeing SIX manta rays at the Stammtisch cleaning station and witnessing two mandarinfish mate during a dusk dive at Rainbow Reef.||||The resort itself was fantastic, with everything I needed for a perfect diving trip. I’ll definitely be back to experience more of what Yap has to offer. Highly recommend Manta Ray Bay Resort and Yap Divers for anyone looking for an unforgettable dive experience!

I stayed at Manta Ray Bay Resort with our family in August and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. The family that runs the hotel made us feel right at home, showing true dedication to ensuring that guests of all ages feel comfortable and cared for. The hotel itself is charming and has a lovely ambiance that’s perfect for a relaxing family holiday. The rooms were well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. For families, the hotel’s child-friendly atmosphere is perfect. Our kid felt welcome and had a nice stay in the pool. One of the highlights of our visit was the Mantafest—a fantastic event that brought a lot of fun and energy to our stay. It was clear that a lot of thought and planning went into making it enjoyable for everyone. The local beer served was excellent, and there were plenty of delicious options for everyone to enjoy. The location is also ideal for diving enthusiasts. We were amazed by the beautiful dive sites nearby, which were easily accessible by boat. Transfer from the hotel to the beach is well-organized, so we could just focus on the adventure without worrying about logistics. In short, we left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to a return visit. Highly recommended for diving enthusiasts, families and anyone who needs an relaxing stay.

Great attention to all the little details by friendly hotel staff and management. Dining and drinking occurs on a three-story pirate ship that you can jump off of whenever you want -- and then rinse off in the adjacent infinity pool. Definitely the best hotel on Yap. Freshly-brewed beer on tap was a plus. Breakfast was great; lunch and dinner could have been better. The gift shop was completely out of "Stone Money Brewery" t-shirts, which was a bummer; but hopefully they'll be better at supply chain management the next time I stay there...

Outstanding property. It was a business trip, so I was not visiting for the diving, but I felt immersed in a pleasant experience, with photographs everywhere.|The room was comfortable; Wi-Fi was good for my purposes. |The restaurant on the old, moored schooner was different, although the food was nothing to rave about. The "home-brewed" beer served in the ship's bar was excellent, and I enjoyed it.|The resort offers a 'free' morning coffee delivered to the room, which I never took advantage of. However, I was offered a brewed coffee one morning while waiting for my ride to the office. I was surprised to find an additional $2.50 added to my check-out bill. It was just a minor irritation, but it did annoy me on check-out.

Had a wonderful time at Manta Bay resort. The staff was very accommodating, hotel, restaurant, and dive staff. We were there to dive with the Mantas and it did not disappoint. I was impressed that the owner Bill, took time to dive with us and make us feel like we were part of the YAP family.

The room was very nice, did not need to clean room only take out the trash. Enjoyed the view of the lagoon and the restaurant ship.||Very convenient location. Just need a bit more parking area and restaurant and bar needs to stay open to at least 10pm.

The Manta Ray Bay Resort is my place to stay when I visit Yap. The staff are professional, friendly and will help you have a wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and include a mini-refrigerator. Meals are served on a wooden 3-deck Indonesian cargo ship over 100 years old that gives you a great views of the harbor. The food is delicious (especially their homemade banana bread); and they brew their own craft beer. The diving opportunities are some of the best in the world with big and small sea life (i.e. Manta Rays, Sharks, Napoleon Wrasse, Dolphins, Clown Fish, Nudibranch, Mandarin Fish). Other activities can be arranged to include snorkeling, kayaking, land tours, cultural events. Manta Ray Bay Resort takes good care of their guests and will pick you up and take you to the airport; arrange early check-in and late check-out based on your flight schedule.
