We stayed a week at Mantaray Island. It was an ideal low-key, relaxed place for a family with two teens where we could all find our own speed. The staff were outstanding and couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable. Food was great with lots of good and healthy options. Evening volleyball was a highlight. The snorkelling off the beach was terrific with heaps of sea life. A special shout out to the dive school. My son and I learnt to dive with them. Charles and his team are superb: patient, knowledgeable, thorough and inspiring confidence while giving us just the right amount of challenge. Charles is hugely experienced and I really felt that we benefitted from his careful observations and personalised feedback. Groups are small and all the dives are within a 10 or 15 minute boat ride of the island. The water is clear and beautiful and there is so much to see. Just the perfect place to learn with the best tuition. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Mantaray island resort was the perfect Fijian escape. I wanted a beach holiday where I didn’t have a care in the world and that was exactly what I got! The Reef Bure was clean and comfortable and I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower. I could walk a few metres from my door and snorkel amongst beautiful fish and coral. I tried new experiences such as scuba diving and was able to balance my time with the simple pleasures like watching the sunset and swing in the hammock. The standout for me were the resort staff. A happy, friendly team who are passionate about their island and take such wonderful care of their guests. On the afternoon of my departure I felt like I was leaving family. Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights at the Treehouse. Beautiful island, beautiful people, and amazing food. We snorkelled with seven manta rays — such a magical experience! The food was always fresh and delicious, and although we didn’t have any cocktails, the iced chocolate and iced coffee were incredible. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was, as it was the end of the manta ray season — it made the stay feel even more relaxing. We also had so much fun playing volleyball with the staff; they were so friendly, happy, and welcoming. Overall, it was such a special experience — would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing island getaway. 🌴✨

We spent 2 nights on mantaray Island staying in a seaside bure. The room was beautiful, on the beach with its own hammock and sun loungers. The activities staff are amazing! The free activities are pretty average but the staff make them a lot of fun. The reef is beautiful and we saw mantarays in the reef off of the island. The swim with mantarays trip was a little bit of a tourist factory, where 40 people were all swimming like crazy to surround 1 mantaray, I got kicked in the face by someone rushing past me to see it. It didn't feel very nature friendly. Unfortunately our experience of the food was awful, the lunch was bland, they got my order wrong at dinner, leaving me waiting while my partner ate his whole dinner before I received mine, then dessert was just slapped in front of me like I'd done something wrong. We were left waiting for breakfast for over 45 minutes and then it was brought out cold and the sauce was completely congealed. Then we had much the same experience the next day. Considering this islands meal package is so expensive I was expecting more from the food and the staff. They also tried to charge us for drinks we didn't have upon check out and the staff behind the counter pulled the bill away when I was questioning it and wouldn't let us see it properly while she was 'fixing it' I would not return to this resort. Compared to other islands I just found this one disappointing for the price it costs.

Had an absolutely amazing time staying at this resort. The food was delicious with plenty of options for dietary needs, the staff were some of the most friendly and helpful people. There are many activities to do including snorkelling right in front of the resort, I have never seen such beautiful coral and sea life. 10/10 will be back again soon.

This was our first stop on a first trip to the South Pacific island nations. We ended up in a very nice, spotless villa right on the spectacular beach, which offered some of the best snorkeling of our lives. The reception, excursions and restaurant staff were all very helpful, and it couldn't have been a better start to our trip to the region.

Absolutely loved our stay on the island. We had a beach villa and the room was great. Spacious, comfy, good air con, had a bar fridge and cool outdoor shower. The main bar, reception, pool area is built so well and has a really great beach side vibe. There is so many activities we basically never stopped. The restaurant also catered well to allergies. Fishing wasn’t too bad off the shore too. Just need to walk down the beach a little as you can’t fish in front of the resort. Would highly recommend. Little tip, best do the manta snorkel at 8am. That session has most sitings. Also good iced chocolate at the bar!

Mantaray Island Resort is tucked away on a small island, with fantastic views above and below the waves. Several activities, both paid and free are available to keep you active is you choose. Otherwise it’s easy to find a spot on the resort to relax in the shade or catch some sun rays. There’s also a great beach on the other side of the island past the restaurant that provides a great sunset opportunity. The staff are super friendly with Bula’s all around and a genuine interest in the visitors. You’ll feel at home when you realize how quickly they get to know your name and preferences. The only disappointment is when it comes time to leave it all behind!
