Pastel de nata is Portugal’s national dessert, and Manteigaria is often said to make the best ones—after visiting, I can confidently say that the hype is real. The pastéis de nata were absolutely out of this world. Perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. They were so good that I had to buy six more to take home for my family to try.
Honestly, these are some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life. Manteigaria is an absolute must-try when visiting Lisbon.
