This is one of my favorite shops in Portland! It is my go-to place for gifts, and I really appreciate that they stock items across multiple price ranges (the $35 or less section on the website is the best!). The staff are always so kind as well, I always look forward to stopping by!

Wonderful neighborhood shop with a wonderful owner & staff. I have always found great gifts for both adults and children (and myself haha) here. You can tell each item is thoughtfully chosen and high quality. Many hand made items from local vendors too!

I'm not super interested in home décor for myself, but I stopped by because it looked beautiful from the outside and I figured I could get a lovely gift for my mom for Mother's Day coming up. They have a lot of cool things to choose from, and best of all, their prices are surprisingly reasonable! A lot of natural products that look intriguing, and handcrafted soap that smells wonderful. I did find quite a few things for my mother's present! The service was friendly and welcoming, the woman helping me made sure to acknowledge everyone in the store.

This is a really cool place to find gifts or find things that could be a statement piece. They do a really good job of keeping unique ceramic pieces in stock. They have multiple ceramic artists featured. The staff is very friendly and very willing to help you find what you are looking for. I would recommend or visit again.

Amazingly curated home decor boutique that carries local and global ceramics and other home items. I’ve been following Mantel in Instagram for a while and was so excited to finally visit. They have beautiful and fun items and I bought a handcrafted ceramic mug.

Ooh, I like a quirky home goods store, and this one is very good! Planters and candle sticks and mugs and yummy smelling candles. It's contemporary and cool. Worth a stop.

This place has the best curation of ceramics, jewelry, housewares, candles, and any other gifty stuff you might need. I went in to do some holiday shopping and while I did find some things for others I found so many cute things for myself! They have a great eye for unique and beautiful wares!

Mantel is an unbelievably well curated store with tons of incredible pieces. What is really outstanding is their customer service. After spending tons of time strolling around the store, I decided on a ceramic, handmade mug and a cement candle. I explained to the sales associate that I was flying back to LA and needed to pack the mug as well as possible. He did his best, put it in a paper bag, and my girlfriend and I trekked into the rare PDX snow to get back to the car. The bag, sadly, got wet immediately, the handle broke, and before I knew it, I heard something shatter. Absolutely devastated, I went straight back to the store (mug still wrapped but clearly in pieces) and explained what happened. The sales associate who had seen me so excited about my new pieces minutes earlier was BEYOND generous and replaced the shattered mug with a new one - free of cost. As soon as I got back to LA, I jumped on their website to see what else I could buy. This is the type of customer service EVERY store should have. Please shop here!

We are so lucky to have this sweet shop in our neighborhood! I have gotten some of my friend's very favorite gifts here, since they truly always have beautiful, special pieces at all price points.

This store has all the things that I like. Perfume, candles, and just the ease of style. Was great stopping in on Tuesday. We did try on Monday - note, they aren't open! So, we came back because it looked like a delight to shop. And it was!

You MUST check out this new store in Kenton! Not only is the product artsy, interesting and well-priced, the fixtures and displays are gorgeous in this space. The owner is an art teacher and it shows in the special collections of art she's curated for her shop. Ceramics, books, fragrances, quilts, home decor, jewelry and more perfect for gift-giving or personal indulgences. Support this small, local business!

A must see in the Historic Kenton Business District. This is a great shop full of pottery, jewelry, candles, airplants, books, and more all from Local and Regional makers and artists. Karen, the owner is very knowledgeable about the things she sells and can really help you fund what you are looking for. Mantel is newer to the neighborhood and on it's way to becoming one of the cornerstone businesses in Downtown Kenton.

Wonderful selection of ceramics, and the owner is so nice. A great place to find unique gifts for others, as well as items for your home. Can't wait to visit next time we're back in Portland.

Mantel and it's owner represent the best of handcrafted, artisan work. I had a chance to drop in while visiting Portland, and found that Karen, the owner, was super knowledgeable about local artists, quality of materials, and the value of handmade products. Mantel is a Portland gem! It's a beautiful space... so thoughtfully designed. Every product and piece of art is carefully curated. We purchased a vintage radio that had been upgraded to Bluetooth. We absolutely love it! And we fell in love with everything else in the shop as well, from well crafted modern ceramics to the most gorgeous minimal textiles. The owners are incredibly kind and generous people, who also live in the neighborhood and give back to the community. Most of the products are hand crafted and they support local and regional artists. They also host creative special events, such as pop ups. Highly recommend!!!

Really cute shop. Beautiful pottery. Lots of airplants. Many things are hand made locally so it is a tad on the pricey side. Lovely shop owner. Very inviting. Oh, did I say it smells great in there too?

Mantel is just what Kenton needs! A beautiful shop with handcrafted artsy gifts and jewelry and home decor items. You feel like you're in a small museum, art gallery, and shop all combined. The owners and employees are friendly and knowledgeable and happy to have you browse. They themselves are locals and it's refreshing to have a boutique and accessible shop such as this fit right in with the neighborhood. It's one of my favorite place to buy gifts too!

I've lived in Kenton for ten years, and was hoping a cute shop would open that could walk to. Somewhere I could swing by and easily pick up little gifts for friends and family. This place is beyond expectations. Everything is gorgeous and unique. The only problem I have while shopping here is narrowing down which item to take home. It's SO good. I'm now moving out of Kenton, and I am really going to miss Mantel!

I've lived in Arbor Lodge for over 15 years. I remember when Kenton didn't even have a library much less a store like Mantel. I'm an artist by profession. When I discovered Mantel I was in "handcrafted" heaven. I never expected that our little Kenton would be blessed with a store you would expect to see in the more trendy neighborhoods. In spite of that I think the owners priced the work fairly without gouging the consumer considering that artist's have to make a living too! I shop there frequently for gifts and for me, small personal items. I like the fact that the owner sells body care products along the line of natural ingredients. I saw one negative review here about the owner not being friendly? I've never had that experience. In fact I was always greeted and asked if I needed help. I'm one of those shoppers too that prefers to not have sales people breathing down my neck. That's just me. No exchange of smiles through a glass window? How well does the reviewer know the owner after all?

This is my go-to shop for gifts for my wife. Karen has impeccable taste and works hard to find new up and coming artists so not only are the pieces beautiful but they are unique as well. I love this shop and I wish I could shop here more often.
