Mantis and Moon Surf Paradise & Adventure Lodge

I had the most incredible stay at Mantis and Moon this past weekend! From the moment I arrived, the vibe was welcoming and peaceful. The staff were so friendly, and even the other guests made it feel like a little community. One of the best parts of the stay was the food — they catered amazing vegan options just for me, which made me feel so seen and cared for. The location is also perfect — just a short walk to the beach, which made sunrise and sunset strolls a daily joy. We also took part in yoga sessions, and I have to give a special shoutout to Simi, our instructor — she was so kind, gentle, and lovely. Her presence really made the experience more special. Oh, and Zena the dog — she absolutely stole my heart! Such a sweet soul. Between the bar, pool, jacuzzi, the beach, great food, and beautiful people, this place is a true hidden gem. I highly recommend Mantis and Moon and will 100% be coming back!

Extrem rustic, bar nothing to drink, Jacuzzi not working, Kitchen dirty, look inside the microwave you would need an a big tool to scrub it. Restaurant open only for breakfast, looks for the Bunny hut never seen, fireplace no cut wood, very dirty outside seating . Maybe pay people for cleaning!! Volunteers are not the the best bet. Beautiful trees !!!! A real jungle To expensive for what you get even with Daddy’s deals

What a hidden Gem... totally exceded my expectations... don't get me started about cool staff, and the Vibe... excellent facilities, something for everyone... my stay was exactly I needed... It's easy to find things to criticize if you look hard enough... but for a rustic down to earth place that just feels genuine, the only thing that was lacking is parking... but it's not a deal breaker considering what everything else there is to offer. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

Lively and beautiful place with awesome facilities, bar, restaurant set in a beautiful jungle garden! Pool, two jacuzzis. Awesome surf breaks in walking distance, local surf guides/instructors available. Also offer tours to Drakensberg and nearby national parks. Can highly recommend Mantis & Moon! Definitely the place to be in the Durban South Coast if you want to hang out and meet cool people!

Had a wonderful time there! Staff was so awesome and helpful! It was such a beautiful setting. Quiet in off-season but I imagine it would be such a vibe on season. Cannot wait to come again!

What should be a tranquil Paradise idyllic forest setting is completely obliterated by guests blasting music. 10.50pm currently being serenaded by death metal as well as dance music from the bar. Paid R850 a night for the most horrific damp mouldy en suite to be "upgraded "to the cheaper tree house suite. I wouldnt dream of doing yoga here in busy times, nothing Zen about the atmosphere . Staff are lovely food is good but awful noisy stressful and definitley not relaxing wouldnt return unless I lost my hearing . Such a pity so disappointed. Our final night when it was quiet was an absolute treat. The staff are friendly and welcoming food is amazing and good value for money. Pity it can get too vibey
