The staff here are super friendly and helpful. Empress at reception was a standout, very considerate and thoughtful esp. towards my mum. Thanks so much 🙏 The hotel is an older property, it is within close proximity to almost everything you need. The executive suite was comfortable, with a large bathroom, fridge, microwave and basic cooking utensils and facilities. Hotel is right outside Launceston hospital.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for several nights. It is centrally located with a lovely view of spectacular Launceston. Every aspect of our stay was great and the staff were amazing. We had a very comfortable King Bed and an accessible bathroom which was very much appreciated by this wheelchair user. Staff bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Highly recommend!

Love this hotel so much. Although it is only a 3 or 4-star hotel (it does not have a gym and pool), its service remains excellent. The check in staff was friendly. Due to my Gold Accor membership, I was upgraded to a huge studio unit with kitchenette. The studio unit is very spacious and comes with very high ceiling. Car parking is free for hotel guests. As the hotel building is adjacent to a medical center/clinic, there are certain parking lots dedicated for the clients of the medical center/clinic will only be released for hotel guests after 6pm and can be parked until 8:30 am the next day. ||In fact, the location of the hotel is considered close to Launceston downtown area, approximately 12-15 minutes' walk. Since my upgraded studio unit has electrical stove, I bought some ingredients from Coles nearby and cooked dinner for whole family. I was very delighted that Nespresso coffee machine and its captules were also provided in the room. A la carte breakfast was good too. I ordered eggs Benedict from the station. The only complaint I had was the old and aged furniture, which is a minor concern.

Typical 4 star hotel. A bit clinical but thats where that stops for this hotel. The staff- all staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is a decent size and comfortable. Small shower with awesome water pressure. Only downfall was size of TV and channels available but thats really not a major problem. Generally, when breakfast is included its either a buffet or continental - not here. Breakfast was amazingly good and service by Nicole simply made breakfast all that more enjoyable. What an asset to the hotel she is.|The hotel is right across the road from the hospital which was very very handy. All in all this was a very pleasant stay for a couple of days. Highly recommended

We stayed at Mantra Charles as part of our Mystery flight package. It was a king bed room which was perfect for a couple for two nights. It is very clean and cosy. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The only thing is the restaurant is closed Saturday and Sunday but there is a huge selection to order off Uber Eats and we found them to be much more efficient than Uber Eats in Melbourne. Our food came quickly, correctly and hot. We will definitely return to Mantra Charles on our next trip to Launceston.

My friend and I stayed in twin rooms. Was a great set up, although we didn't like that there were two single beds pushed together to pretend to be a double bed. Outside of that we loved our stay! Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. Guests were friendly. Having 24 hour front desk support was great. The affordability of the stay was great and I'd happily stay there again. Recommended.

Don't expect a lie in, construction work all around from 6am, trucks constantly coming and going. The blinds are the thinnest paper that block zero sunlight. The rooms are also pretty small, but clean. My shower leaked also! It's positioned in an awkward location, just a little too far away from anything and next door to offices and shops.

Ok… so I have been coming here since 2010 and the HEART to serve here is amazing. It’s not always perfect, nowhere is. But think about what these people are doing. We arrived tired, hungry and away from home and these folks take care of us. I’m so grateful for everything and everyone here. Did you have a bad time? I can assure you if you did it was you and your attitude. Kiara who is a restaurant waitress deserves a special shout out tonight. Same with the chef. Thanks for serving me and for considering my needs. God bless.

Yelp
We stayed only the one night of a two week driving tour of Tassie, to dine at a steak restaurant in town. We couldn't be more impressed with the room and the hotel! Modern décor surrounded our king size bed - much of it exclusive to the hotel (you'll love the window blind!). The ceiling is probably 12ft high, and the ensuite quite roomy. The hotel now has in-room free wi-fi as well as cabled broadband. The lobby and restaurant/lounge are compact, but classy and well looked after by the staff. Hotel Charles is located a short walk South of the CBD on a plot previously part of the Hospital. It shares many of its parking spots with a number of businesses during the day, so there are signs reserving spaces for hotel guests only from 5:30pm to 8:30am. If you can only get one of those spaces when you arrive, the obligation to shift would be a downside of your stay.

Yelp
Stayed here for one night. The rooms are modern, new and clean. This hotel is great value for money and included free high speed internet (cable only, no wifi). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Would happily stay here again in Launceston. The only downside for this hotel, is its a short walk from the restaurant/cafe part of town. This isn't too much of issue if you are happy with a 10 minute stroll.

Yelp
Had coffee in the small lounge area. Coffee scored 4 out of 10, tables had dirty cups and the seats were the most uncomfortable I have ever sat on! !
