We had a 3 day family stay on the weekend and everything was wonderful. We had 2 x 2bed Apartments in the hotel section so all generations had their own bathrooms and it worked out beautifully. The rooms were very clean (very important to me) and modern they have been updated from the last time we were here a few years back which was a nice added touch. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and aircons efficient. The living areas were large so we could all sit together in either apartment. Service was excellent and if there was a request it was attended to quickly. Lifts and foyers were also clean and in great condition and plenty of parking. Location on the marina as always was great and we could walk to the main centre. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again.

Paying top price for a 4 start hotel and it’s 3 star at best. For a night or two stop off it’s ok but would not recommend for any longer. No smart tv and no internet so unless you travel with dvds? We stayed here 7 years ago and it was a little tired then and sad to see that they haven’t spent anything on it yet still charging as if it’s new. The rooms are in desperate need of the very least a lick of paint, new carpets and beds! The pool is freezing as not heated but no problem they have a jacuzzi … nope, it’s closed off and ripped up full of sand. outdoor bbqs… dirty and no scraping tools to clean, the apartment kitchen has the minimum essentials but no sharp knife, no oven trays, no cheese grater, no baking dish. No scissors … not sure how they expected me to cut the tie straps off the new clothes airer that’s brand new still in packaging in the wardrobe? Stayed for a week and the daily room service is on the forth day … so that’s once in a week, lovely balcony with view of the road and road works (they start at 7am so no sleep in) Overall for the price we payed it’s very disappointing not sure how they get away with their 4 stars rating

The rooms are tired, in need of updating and their cleaners should be sacked. Carpet tiles have come apart so you can see the concrete floor and grout in the bathroom is black. Couches are not at all comfy either. No Smart TV. Not what you'd expect for the price. The balconies are great and I love the sea view. Will try somewhere else next time though.

I only stayed at Mantra for one night, but the room had a lot of handy features. There was a balcony, clean floors, and the basics were covered with a fridge, kettle, toaster, and even a dishwasher. The TV also had Netflix, which was a nice extra touch. However, a few things let the stay down. I didn’t like the fluorescent lighting in the room, only one of the lamps worked, and the TV was extremely loud even on the lowest volume. Overall, it was comfortable enough for a short stay, but a few small improvements would make the experience much better.

Stayed in unit 17 - 3 bedroom- for 2 nights. The balcony was filthy with bird droppings(couldn't sit out there) and the windows and blinds haven't been cleaned in decades. Bathrooms need regrouting and generally the inside is tired. The description said each bedroom had a queen bed but in 2, they were single beds. I requested a refund but the people at the front office do not want to help contact the private owner of the unit and facilitate my request. It is a shame that this was our experience as the location is superb and the restaurant is very good. Geraldton needs a quality place to stay for tourists. Lift your game Mantra!!

Having stayed in many Mantra properties across the country, we were expecting a level of quality that was unfortunately lacking during our recent visit. Absolutely NO hot water running out of either of the showers in our 2 bedroom apartment, either on the evening we arrived or the next morning before we left. For the fees charged per night, one would at least expect a warm shower! The bed was comfortable but overall, the property is in need of an upgrade and urgent attention to basic amenities.

The rooms were large, beds were comfortable enough, however, the property required many repairs and maintenance. Just to name a few, the door frames in the bathrooms were rusted out and a big hazard for my 1yr old. The kitchen cupboard under the sink wouldn't close due to a very old hinge which no longer functioned, the carpet was frayed and all the door entrances, the aircon's required cleaning as they were full on dust on the top where the filters were and the tiling was dirty/ needed re-grouting. All in all, I was very disappointed from the minute I walked through the door as most things were immediately obvious and for the amount that we paid for the 1 night, it was absolute robbery.

The location is ideal and lovely at night. Overlooking the Seaview. Decent food at the end of the block. Good for a family stay if you're looking for basic studio amenities.

Yelp
We were so, so disappointed with our stay at The Mantra Geraldton. After a fantastic camping trip up north we were hoping for something tranquil for a relaxing one night stopover as we travelled home Exmouth to Perth. This was not what The Mantra had in store. Noisy neighbours, mosquitos & flies in the room, tired & old facilities. We had a two bedroom apartment which is not the ocean view studio I had thought I'd booked. After a scary encounter with spaced out undesirables on the beach our ground floor, roadside apartment felt unsafe and we were v.happy to leave. For a young, fatigued couple this was not anywhere near the stay we wanted. We won't be back and won't be staying at any Mantras until this disappointing experience is forgotten.
