Mantra Lake Tekapo

Only an overnight stay on the way to Mt Cook. Lovely staff, but did seem a bit harried. Large unit, getting a bit dated but good amenities and decked out kitchen. No instructions on how to on the gas fireplace heater, but we eventually figured it out. Warm place to stay, just out of the hustle and bustle, but only a 5 minute walk away from town Centre.

We stayed here for one night. The house was very clean, clean towels and bed linen. The kitchen is well stocked with electrical appliances for every need. Staff are exceptional, attentive and always willing to help. The location of the houses/apartments is so handy to the town with a 5 minute walk to shops,restaurants and amenities. I would definitely recommend the Mantra Lake Tekapo for a base to explore the local areas.

My husband and I were welcomed with a warm smile and a lovely bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday. The apartment was clean, warm and well equipped. Thanks for your hospitality! We had a blissful stay. Highly recommend!

Lovely town house. No heating working downstairs in the middle of winter and very cold. Suspected faulty panel heater and the gas fire wouldn’t switch on. Otherwise a lovely place to stay. Everyone very helpful

We really enjoyed our stay at Mantra Lake Tekapo—everything exceeded our expectations. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and easy. We only wish we could have stayed longer! I’d love to come back again in the summer.

Reception is available till 5:30pm, after that self check in by calling Peppers hotel for instructions. |Apartment was big size and comfortable. Unfortunately we had a minor issue with the electrical but managed to sort out over the phone. |Good sized living room with fully functioning kitchen.|Swimming pool and hot tub is available. |No welcome drink/welcome amenities (for premium members) due to not having restaurant on-site.

Spacious villa with comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities and a nice living/dining area. No coffee plunger or coffee maker of any sort. No tea pot. Great to have a proper oven and hob for cooking but it was all a bit grubby - splatters up the walls, oven needed a clean and pots/pans not very clean. Some general maintenance needs to be done - heater not working, several light bulbs not working, lack of cutlery etc. Not major things but given the price they’re charging these things should be sorted.
