Mantra Lounge

The lounge’s both terrace and closed space look great and the view of San Jose you can enjoy is amazing, but that’s the only good part about Mantra. The service was terrible. Man that awaits for people to enter was super grumpy and rude; he made such a fuss because of one extra person (it was mentioned in the reservation) even the lounge wasn’t crowded at all and we came just one hour before the closing. The whole place is super fancy (and expensive) so don’t be surprised if the stuff is staring at you because of your not so fancy outfit. I would definitely not recommend this place and suggest finding another one where both the view and the service are great.

Everyone who doesn’t give this place 5 stars is lying! The food was great! The popcorn chicken sauce is SO GOOD. The atmosphere is so pretty! Great lighting for pictures and beautiful view! The juice and smoothies were so fresh! Constant service was great. Never needed anything. Coming back to Costa Rica just for Mantra! I will be recommending to others. Amazing experience

It was a good experience. We read the reviews and almost didn’t come but decided to try it for ourselves. The service was good and the food was also really good. A little pricey, but the sunset views and atmosphere were great.

Nice place, beautiful view. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I was eating sushi with my boyfriend, we were sitting at the bar, and this bartender girl was having a completely unprofessional tantrum with her coworkers. She had a towel in her hands and at one point she just lost it and hit the counter with the towel breaking my glass of water. I never had an experience like that before. Her attitude was completely off from the beginning and ruined the experience of the bar. Hopefully it won't be like that in the future.

Food is good, not great. There was only one waiter, and even though the place was not crowded, it seemed like a lot because the orders didn't come very fast. The view alone is worth the trip, but it this was in another location I would not come back.

We had just some appetizers and drinks. Personally I had hummus and quiche plus drinks. Friends had tuna tacos and some shrimps Food was excellent and waiters were nice. View from the place is top notch. Prices are high but as I mentioned we had a good time and didn't break our bank by managing our order careully.

Food is very good but pricey, same with the drinks. Staff is very rude, I asked if they could move a fan that was hitting our table directly and after waiting 30 minutes I had to ask again for it to get done. Same story with a dessert. It was my sister in law’s birthday and asked if they have any courtesy desserts for it and I had to ask again to get an answer. Our waiter left without even saying anything. Food and views are great but horrible service.

Service took forever to bring our food. Drinks were good though. The food was not worth it
