Everyone who doesn’t give this place 5 stars is lying! The food was great! The popcorn chicken sauce is SO GOOD. The atmosphere is so pretty! Great lighting for pictures and beautiful view! The juice and smoothies were so fresh! Constant service was great. Never needed anything. Coming back to Costa Rica just for Mantra! I will be recommending to others. Amazing experience

This place was awesome! We were told there is a new chef and the food was fantastic. 5 stars is not enough. Everything about our experience was perfect. The food, the view, the service, they were all incredible. We will be back again and again.

Beautiful restaurant, very nice atmosphere although a bit warm inside. Be aware, Food is just average at best. If you’re looking for a calm place with a nice ambience and nice views this is the correct place for you. If you’re looking for a gourmet, culinary experience this IS NOT the place for you. There are far better option in the city in the same price range.

I visited this restaurant while on vacation in Costa Rica, following a recommendation from my hotel's concierge. I had a wonderful time. For Western travelers, many of the criticisms may not apply, as the restaurant's prices are comparable to those of a typical restaurant in most Western cities. However, I do understand that the prices might be considered high for most Costa Ricans. Nonetheless, the food was good, and the restaurant offers absolutely the best views of San Jose. It is on the 29th floor of a building, and there are not many high rises in Costa Rica.

We had just some appetizers and drinks. Personally I had hummus and quiche plus drinks. Friends had tuna tacos and some shrimps Food was excellent and waiters were nice. View from the place is top notch. Prices are high but as I mentioned we had a good time and didn't break our bank by managing our order careully.

It’s bizarre reading so many mediocre reviews when we found the drinks and food incredible. Prices are quite fair when you’re used to Nosara pricing. 😀 Great views, wonderful staff…attentive and creative. And I love that you need reservations and are met at a private entrance upon entry. ❤️

It was a good experience. We read the reviews and almost didn’t come but decided to try it for ourselves. The service was good and the food was also really good. A little pricey, but the sunset views and atmosphere were great.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER 1. NO TAP (free) WATER - They claim to not have POTABLE DRINKABLE TAP WATER in their floor of the building, so they give you glass bottles (with mold in the cap) wich are 12,000 colones EACH and serve only 3 glasses 2. The staff is extremely rude, from the start they treated us like we were NOT welcome, even the cheff gave us BAD LOOKS 3. Dont celebrate birthdays!! they hate if you bring your own cake 4. ⁠ All of the dishes we order were TERRIBLE, the beef/steak cuts where flavorless, burned and hard, menu pictures are misleading
