Enjoy our stay in Mantra. The place is accessible to shopping place, restaurants, and supermarkets. To be honest I am very hesitant to book this hotel at first because of other reviews. But luckily I gave it a chance because even though the place is quite outdated, the management of the hotel is doing their best to renovate the place. The room that we got on the 6th floor is clean and smells good. We have the best view. Some guests expect to have daily cleaning services, room service and 24-hour housekeeping every day like a full-service hotel but please do not expect more, this is just an apartment hotel. However, all the staff which I believe are their main asset is doing their best to deliver the best service and they always inform guest during check-in process about how what the hotel offers and what is not available on their premise. The lady in the reception, Michelle, is very lovely and in detail and guides us all the way even to our small requests. She also help my elderly mom registered for the Accor membership when my mom is having trouble to register. Their managers are also very approachable and friendly. We have long hours before our flight after check out and the staff offers to kept our luggages so we can still roam around the area while waiting to go to the airport. Thank you Mantra for the lovely and wonderful stay. We will make sure to stay again when we went back in Perth.

Beautiful apartment - very spacious! Quiet and peaceful there. The hotel is conveniently located in East Perth - close to the Swan River so we could enjoy our river walks, and go to the CBD by RED CAT bus or walk to the CBD. It has a carpark in the basement which was handy.

Have been staying in mantra all over Australia for 20 years, have always found them excellent. First time we have been let down, we booked for 3 nights, actually left after 2 nights. The room was average and overpriced, we paid $215 a night, plus $30’a day for parking. Staff were good, room was clean enough. Also shower over bath, whichI don’t like, I think this is very dangerous. Would not recommend this hotel, needs to be ally cheaper, especially for its location. Also paid a bond of $200, still waiting for it to be reversed 5 days later. So disappointed.

Very run down. Fridge door fell off, top of the fridge was very hot and the fridge was making a lot of noise. I was worried about safety because the fridge was so hot. The front desk girl offered me another room which was good. I suggested we turn the fridge off and she stood there while I moved the heavy cabinet to get at the wall plug to turn it off. I’m an older woman. She had very long manicured and polished fingernails, maybe didn’t want to break them. There were long synthetic curtains hanging over the heater. Again another safety issue. The heavier curtains were falling off the rails. The lamps were all plugged into plugs that didn’t work.

Staff are lovely, location is good. Rooms are decent enough for the price. They need a bit of upkeep tho. Our first rooms toilet was running so they promptly switched rooms for us to another 2 bedroom apartment. Second room was all working well however it had a scent that I cant fully describe. Bit like the carpet was infused with pickled cabbage or something. Was a bit funky but we dealt with it. We had to open the balcony door every time we came back to help air it out. Other than that. It’s a decent enough mid level stay if you need a washer and dryer with that big of extra space it’s recommend and a nice walk down to Langley park to check out sunsets and look over to South Perth.

My husband and I won our stay and breakfast voucher from a charity auction last year in June and made a reservation in September. When my husband arrived to check in, he was told that his booking was not in the system because the hotel had changed owners and they would not accept the reservation and breakfast voucher. About an hour later, they came to a resolution and would accept the booking with a $200 deposit. Unfortunately, while he was waiting, he overheard that another guest had the same problem and another disabled guest couldn't even get into his room due to lack of accessibility. Hotel room, lobby, and hallways are dated. The hotel room felt dirty, the coffee table was in fair condition, and had visible damage. Two air-conditioners, but only 1 remote. The shower had moulded inside the near door. No single use hand soap, shampoo or conditioner, only bigger bottles, which I assumed is shared between different guests that stay in the in the room. Small shower. There is no sink plug in the kitchen. NO MAIN CELLING LIGHT IN THE BEDROOM, ONLY TWO LITTLE LAMPS. Probably the only positive was the rooms were big, had a kitchenette, and washer and dryer. The hotel staff did write a apology note with a complimentary bottle of red wine, however they spelt the last name wrong. After we checked out, they charged $300 to our credit card, essentially 'paying' for our 'free' stay. We are still waiting for a full refund. Would not recommend 👎
