Mantra One Sandy Bay Road Hobart

My wife and I had booked to stay in one of the smaller suites for the first stay of our honeymoon, however, when we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to the one of the most popular suites. It was such a generous offer and it was honestly one of the highlights of the trip. The apartment was spacious and clean and had a fun city view. Thank you Mantra crew!

We enjoyed a great stay at Mantra One Sandy Bay Road. The hotel is so well located and proximate to central Hobart, Salamanca Place, Battery Point and the waterfront. We stayed in a bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The high ceilings of the old converted building added an airy feel. Our check in and check out experience was warm, friendly and helpful. I can only say good things to my family and friends about our stay. It would be great if in any future renovations that some data/use points are installed.

We stayed here for five nights, in a one bedroom apartment, and were very happy with the stay. The hotel is in a terrific location, just a short walk from Salamanca, many restaurants, the harbourside and the city.||Our apartment was well furnished, had a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and living areas, dishwasher, washing machine with dryer||There was no parking available in the hotel (all the spots were taken, since we had not done an advance booking); but this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Our plan was to be out most of the day, and William, at check-in, told us where we could park just up the road at a very reasonable hourly cost between the hours of 8:30am and 6:00pm (free on weekends).||The kitchen is a bit icky in places, and needs a clean. And some drawers were broken and not operable. But putting this aside, the rest of the apartment was ok.

2 Stars for location and room size There are quite a few things to be aware of with Mantra, 1 Sandy Bay Road. First of all, it is not a hotel as stated on the Google profile. It is an apartment-style accommodation, and they do not provide room service or breakfast. The booking team seemed to have very limited knowledge about the actual services offered at Mantra Sandy Bay Road. We booked four rooms, but they were allocated across different levels and even different buildings, which was very inconvenient for a group booking. Do not expect any emergency support. We experienced issues such as a water leak and toilet flush problems, and there was no staff member on site to assist. We were advised to call an after-hours number, but the phone was not working. Overall, the lack of on-site support and misleading information made the stay quite disappointing.

Stayed a couple of days. Friendly staff and very accommodating immediately. Had washing machine/dryer Combo which was very convenient in our bathroom. TV in lounge and another TV in bedroom. Conveniently located in Hobart in walking distance to cafes and eateries. Had kitchette with microwave. Overlooking park. Make sure you book parking at extra cost.

Staff awesome. Apartment well equipped & spacious with quality extras, KS bed very comfortable. Very central, walking distance from city centre, Salamanca store, bakery & pubs. Requested a quiet room, definately will recommend & stay again

Nice room and helpful staff. The room was not serviced which I didn't realise when booking. Oddly they have cooking facilities but no utensils! Excellent location though

Sadly, despite its excellent location, this hotel does not measure up to four stars as other Accor hotels do. Its greatest drawback is the serious shortage of on site parking. Also, it provides no in room safe, nor a bar or restaurant as most other hotels of this rating do. The entrance foyer was small and uncomfortable for arriving guests, though the staff present were always pleasant and politely helpful. However, there are no staff on site at night, in contrast to the staffing of other four star hotels in the Accor family. The latter was starkly obvious when a fire alarm was activated at night. I am unable to rate this hotel according to any of the factors below.
