Arrived Friday night at 9pm to be told my booking had almost been cancelled because I hadn’t yet checked in, yet it says you can check in until midnight on my booking. I was also told they’d tried to take payment from the card on file but it had declined (this was due to me not yet transferring the funds into that account - booking also said I could pay at the hotel). So, a phone call would have been nice to confirm whereabouts as I’m sure they had my number on file too! As for the room, it was tiny and like most other reviews have suggested, it had a weird smell. I checked out on Monday so had a 3 night stay and not once was my room made up, despite me leaving the hanger on the door to request this. The air-conditioner also leaked water one night onto the tv and carpet below, which seemed dangerous. The staff were friendly and the location was decent but I don’t think I’d stay again.

I booked a room and arrived after the reception had closed. I expected this would be fine because the website advertised 24-hour check-in. The confirmation email from Mantra Terraces Brisbane said to call the after-hours phone number listed on the door when I arrived. I did. The operator told me they didn’t have my booking and don’t accept bookings after 11 p.m. I explained that I had made the booking before 11 and that they had already taken my payment. She said she couldn’t do anything, that it was booking.com’s error, and that we’d have to wait until reception opened at 7 a.m. I asked where we were supposed to sleep in the meantime. She said she would call back in 10 minutes, but never did — instead, she texted to say reception would open at 7 a.m., with no apology or offer of assistance. We eventually slipped into the lobby as some guests were leaving and spent the night sleeping in the hallway outside the toilet. The hall hadn’t been vacuumed. The light couldn’t be turned off, so we stuffed paper in the cavity to dim it. The ground was unforgiving, and we heard every person who passed through the lobby. On the plus side, we didn’t die — though given the level of care, it felt like we would’ve received more compassion as corpses in a morgue. Disgraceful.

Very comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent airconditioning especially in the summer. Great location plenty of restaurants nearby and only a short walk to the city. Parking available across the road. Great breakfast in front of the Hotel

Location good. Front desk check-in and check-out quick. Room okay for one person. Impossible to sleep as the air conditioner was noisy and whoosing and the fire alarm flashing all night.

In Brisbane for a medical app., chose Mantra Terrace, as was close to where we needed to be. So glad we did, from reception service and rooms, Mantra Terrace is a winner for our one nights stay. Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed to make it comfortable, a small sized room, but for one night, all we needed. Every one we spoke to was friendly and welcoming, from Emmon(please excuse my spelling, as didn't quite catch name, with my hearing), Janice and Maya, and there was another young lady, but didn't see her name tag. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend Mantra Terrace Brisbane.

Third time I have stayed here this year. Despite this the young Asian man on reception on sat afternoon very abruptly demanded photo ID (never been asked before ) and a $50 deposit -when I asked why he just sneered and said " in case things go missing " ?! Rude. Also no water in any of the fountains at reception Sat night .Finally room was so small one side of the ( v small double ) bed was wedged against the window - the pillows are also soft as marshmallow - no support . Rest of the staff were friendly and professional to be fair but this guy has utterly put me off rebooking -trust me, nothing in that shoe box I would want to walk off with !

I booked a stay with “full buffet breakfast”. But the hotel does not offer this. They only have a light continental breakfast. I was not the only hotel guest to strike this same issue- many others raised the same point with the staff. You should not be falsely advertising (and charging for) your services

Our stay was disappointing on many levels - due to a system change it wasn’t possible to identify our reservation (made 2 months prior) and we were asked to wait in reception for over an hour to resolve it. We were then told we likely would have to book an alternative hotel, pay for it and attempt to claim it back from Accor later. No evidence of the issue would be provided by the hotel - the manager refused to put it in writing. We were then given keys and told to write down our name. Finally things were moving. Subsequently we received two emails and a call chasing us to check in, informing us we didn’t have a reservation and chasing us again. It was comical how all communications contradicted each other. The night staff agreed she had sent all such messages, but couldn’t explain why. During our initial interaction there was a manager on site who refused to interact with us and told his staff to resolve it. Specifically he said he was off duty so wouldn’t help - not great hospitality. Despite being listed as having the free breakfast benefit for ALL platinum guests, the hotel does not offer any free breakfast or alternative option. We were told the hotel is now a franchise and therefore there are a number of restrictions and no guarantees services, including status benefits and using points. The room itself was reasonably nice. Basic, but comfortable. The A/C was too loud to have on whilst sleeping but cooled the room enough during the day for this to be ok.
