This is a gift shop as well as a bookstore but, unlike most Chinatown (here and NY) gift shops it is not crammed with items from floor to ceiling. It has a curated selection of authentic Chinese items that are tastefully displayed. I asked the owner why some shelves are empty and she explained that she is waiting for a shipment of new items from Taiwan, so she would rather forego sales of inferior goods in the mean time so she can have the space available for her personally selected items when they arrive. In addition to some English language reading materials I t is certainly a treat for any people who read Chinese, with magazines and books in Chinese, as well as children’s educational materials for any child learning Chinese. It is located in "Chinatown’”, Atlanta’s first Chinese retail development back when the area had no other Asian business. Other Chinese businesses include restaurants, other gift shops, a hair salon, a grocery store and more.
