Mapacho Craft Beer Restaurant

In terms of the city, this is a good value restaurant, way better compared to other options. Although the restaurant is a bit overpriced and a bit touristy, food was delicious and cooked well, juices were great too. Good option if you have to eat in Aguas.

I got the duck con arroz and a chicha and passion fruit mojito. The duck was delicious, very tender. I liked the rice that it came with too, and they put a lot of effort into the presentation of the food. Excellent drinks and nice, big portions. The only thing that I would have liked more with the food is a little more veggies, but otherwise it was delicious. Lim was a great waiter too, very attentive, and he made me feel very comfortable, speaking to me both in Spanish and English. Even with a busy evening, he would come to check on me and gave me complimentary papas! Thank you for a great dining experience, Lin.

We had the most wonderful time at Mapacho! The food was truly amazing (and beautiful) and our waiter, Felipe, was a great host. We were able to try many of the typical Peruvians dishes and drinks, after some great recommendations. The atmosphere is lively, and you get a beautiful view of Rio Urubamba. We will definitely visit again! Nosotros tuvimos una linda experiencia - la comida estava buenisima y el servicio excelente, siempre muy attente. Lo recomiendo a todos!

Omg Mapacbo has hands down been the best restaurant we’ve been to in Peru, and we’ve been to some great places. I ordered the Tacu Tacu with beef - it was incredible!! It came in a gravy and was basically a Lomo Saltado beef with the Tacu Tacu (rice, bean fried up, almost like mashed potatoes here) and my god. So incredibly delicious. Perfectly cooked and salted. My wife ordered the lamb with risotto - the risotto has mushrooms. I ordered basically this same dish somewhere else but this one was so much better. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for. It was all perfection. Our friends ordered Octopus and something else I’m forgetting but they too were saying it was their best meal of the trip. Forget Lima for being the food capital!! The staff were great and the bar was super fun. They spoke English and took card. 10/10 will come here again.

I got the quinoa crusted trout and it was great. The presentation was so beautiful. Camilo our server was super attentive and the beer they make is awesome. My favorite was the sour.

Our food was marvelous and our server Ian was very good at presentation and serving! Fantastic experience. The location is right on the river and so nice to spend the afternoon

Best meal we had in Aguas Calientes after our visit to Machu Picchu. Sat at an upstairs table with beautiful views of the river. Food was excellent and our server was very attentive to our large group while juggling other tables. Beer on tap was ok but I had an excellent small batch bottled beer here!

Had a great time at Mapacho. The restaurant is nice and modern. Food’s good quality and service from Ian was fantastic. Right by the river with great views at the back of the restaurant, may have to book!
