Maple Leaf Motel

I really think this place should spend some time making the rooms nice. It wouldn’t take much to make them look 100 times less … I can’t think of the right word….less poor. They really look like they are made up of garage sale/charity shop freebies. Even on marketplace you can find super sold beautiful furniture for not a lot of money and spend a bit of money on a decorator to choose better linens, paint/paper, decor items. It really would take just a little effort to make the rooms feel less like a visual assault. But everything else is good and the outside isn’t bad at all!

Please do not waste your time. Find another place to stay when you are here in town. This hotel does not have hot water. If you drive a truck you have to park it on the road or somewhere else. The phone on the desk does not work. You are not even provided a pen and paper to take notes. If you were to use that phone that does not work. And if you were thinking of going back to your room and watching some TV to relax, you only get 12 channels of basic cable.

Very neat and clean rooms, smoking area and patio set up in the back. The owners are so lovely and polite. It’s close to the downtown core, we were able to walk to Cait’s Cafe every morning. Very quiet, the place was full of occupants and we could not hear our neighbours. 5 minutes from the beach, the marina and the parks. We will definitely be back! We had a lovely stay Edit: we forgot to mention 20 minutes to Bayfield 40 minutes to Grand Bend

We had an amazing experience at Maple Leaf Motel! Their rooms were clean with comfortable bedding. The owners are extremely nice and very accommodating. The alarm clock with wireless charger built-in is super convenient. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Goderich.

We stayed at this adorable little motel overnight and we were very pleased. The room was small, but just right. Everything was sparkling clean; the queen size bed was comfy; and the television set had a good selection of cable channels. There was a fridge, coffee pot and tea kettle. Nice towels were provided, toiletries and even a night light. We parked our car and walked everywhere, including down to the water, which was only about a 1.5 km trek. We'd definitely stay here again. Oh and the best part, the owners are just the nicest people you'd ever want to meet who made excellent recommendations for dining. We look forward to our next visit.

I stayed in room 7 last weekend for 2 nights. The clean room was a great size with 2 Queen beds. There is a 2nd vanity outside the bathroom which was very convenient. Fridge with some dishes, kettle, coffee maker, etc. Nice tables for eating outside were available on a pleasant grassy area and I noticed some families travelling together using them. The motel and grounds were well maintained and cute. My favourite part about the hotel was the location. It was about 5 min walk to the square and a bit further to the beach. I ate out at restaurants in town but one night bought pizza at a little plaza right next door to the motel. I felt safe and comfortable, even in the evenings on the neighbouring streets. Loved my stay.

We loved staying here! It’s super clean, family friendly and the owners were very accommodating with anything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed here for a ball tourney. Owners were so kind and accommodating. The rooms were neat and clean. Our room had a fridge and place to eat. I had booked online and they called to be sure I wanted a double bed and offered a queen instead. Great customer service! We were also able to use the backyard for a BBQ gathering with the team! Owners offered us extra tables for outside! Amazing!
