A group of four of us visited for breakfast last Sunday, and we had a wonderful experience. The seating is first come, first served, but we were fortunate enough to snag a table right away as another group was leaving. We were especially happy to get an outdoor spot since we had two dogs with us. Ordering food and drinks was quick and seamless, and the staff was friendly and attentive. My husband went with the Keto Bowl, while I opted for the Retro Plate — both dishes were absolutely delicious. As someone who typically isn’t a big breakfast eater, I was genuinely impressed and would definitely order the Retro Plate again. Overall, a fantastic meal in a great atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back if we visit St. Augustine again!

We and our pups had a great experience here and will definitely be back in the future. Note for pet parents: there is no table side service so your pet will need to remain outside while you order. It worked out fine for us as one person went inside to order and the other outside with the dogs. Food was awesome! Probably the best chicken tenders & biscuits in the downtown area. Also one of the hostesses noticed we had dogs outside and brought us out a fresh water bowl for them. 5 star experience!

Google
The food was so good we didn't think about taking a picture, husband ordered Biscuit & Gravy plate, I had the Squawking Goat Biscuit (chicken, pepper jelly & goat cheese) ..... the food was cooked perfectly, absolutely shocked at how fantastic everything was - perfect!!!!!!! Biscuits made from scratch in front of you, kitchen is fully exposed so you can see everything they are doing with your food.... everything is perfect!

If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort food, Maple Street Biscuit Company is the place to be! The biscuits are perfectly flaky and buttery, and the Smashdowns? Absolutely delicious—flavor-packed and satisfying in every bite. Whether you’re craving something savory or a little sweet, this spot delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Google
Definitely one of my favorites. I got a breakfast bowl that was great however I wanted to point out how amazing the coffee was! I was pleasantly surprised by the good taste and quality. Definitely good for a breakfast place or for lunch.

After 20 minutes trying to park and a 10 minute walk we made it in. The biscuits and gravy is amazing! So much flavor and spice. Eggs were over medium not easy. The bacon is unreal! So much flavor. Smash browns were crispy and so good. Oj was prefecture as was the mimosa. Highly recommended

While visiting Saint Augustine I was intrigued by the menu and the savoury scones. The food was very busy for Sunday lunch so we had to wait a long time to order our food (20 mins). The lady who took our order wasn't really helpful and explained us nothing. We were confused as we never been here before and there was some "rules" that were uncommon. For example, she asked what game would I have chosen at the Olympic Game. We then understood that your answer was to call you when you're order is ready. Anyway not a big deal! The sitting area wasn't well maintained with dirty and sticky tables. We had to eat with dirty dishes on our table as there wasn't any clean table available. Thankfully the food was good! We had the vegetarian goat cheese scones with coffee. All was delicious and we are not disappointed. But service could be improved to make the experience better.

Google
If you're a fan of biscuits and gravy, they have you covered with an assortment of dishes. My only complaint is I like my biscuits and gravy hot off the stove but it came out warm. Their smash browns are probably the star of the show in my opinion. The chai latte was more maple syrup than chai but if you like your chai sweet then you won't be disappointed. Pet friendly if you sit on the front patio.

Yelp
Food was great and service was as well. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. I had the traditional sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit - fantastic. Others in my group enjoyed what they had.

Yelp
It's been 3 years since I was here and unfortunately a bit disappointed. I remembered this place was pretty cool and had good food so we returned. After waiting in line for 40+ minutes (the line was short too, but the person taking orders was also making everyone's drinks) we got to order. The restaurant was still open for several hours after we arrived but they were out of their cheapest ingredient, potatoes for hash browns. So my wife couldn't get what she was hoping for which sucked. They were also out of cold foam for coffees. I got the cinnamon hazelnut latte and it's good but very cinnamony. I ordered the sticky maple and thought it was pretty good. She ended up getting 'the farmer' and it was flooded with what they call house made apple butter, but it looked like slightly browned apple sauce and it was drenched in it. Looked unappetizing and she didn't care for it. Staff weren't as pleasant as we remember. Inside seating area is still nice. They still have a fun way of assigning names to orders. Today it was: who would you invite to your NYE party.

Yelp
My fiancé and I had so much hope when we waited in the long line to order breakfast this morning. However, our experience unfortunately nowhere near met our expectations. Many years ago I remember how much I loved the Gainesville location of Maple St. Biscuit Company; it was definitely amongst the better brunch options. I was so excited for my fiancé to try the restaurant as well; however, we were both let down today. I ordered the cremini mushroom taco which was missing goat cheese. I thought the maple-balsamic drizzle would be better balanced, however it was way too sweet for my taste; never a good experience eating sweet mushrooms and spinach. I also had the squeaking goat taco which was much better overall; however, the eggs did not taste fresh. My fiancé had the Eggs-treme Biscuits and Gravy and this very hungry man could barely eat half the dish. The biscuits were dry, gravy too thick and spicy and bacon was also too spicy for his taste. The best part of his dish were the eggs. Additionally, our smashbrowns were a little burnt and over-fried. The best part of breakfast was definitely the coffee. My cinnamon hazelnut latte was very pleasant and not too sweet. We were surprised to find only artificial sweeteners and no regular sugar packets though for my fiancé's Americano. This whole experience made me miss the Gainesville location dearly which I do want to visit again. However, we will likely choose alternative breakfast options next time we are in St. Augustine.

Yelp
SO GOOD! This place never disappoints! It's always worth the line and the service is truly pretty quick. I tried the squawking goat this time and WOW! It was amazing!

Yelp
Happy we found this place. It is very good and quick! The staff asked our favorite holiday decorations and yelled them out instead of our names which was very cute. The biscuits were great and the jam was delicious! I got an ice coffee which was very good! This might be a new breakfast spot for us!

Martha G.

Yelp
Have been dying to eat here and was very pleased. You walk in and order at the counter Young lady at counter was very friendly abd helpful. Then you find a table sit and wait for your order to be called out. Tjey have different themes, when I visited it was your favorite Christmas ornament. You are asked when you place your order instead of a name. Biscuit sandwiches are huge. Fork and knife huge. Lots fun combinations to choose from. Oooh and fun coffees too And the most delicious peach lemonade must visit

Cassidy I.

Yelp
The food was really amazing, definitely one of the best businesses and gravy I've ever had. And the whole thing is in a really cute area.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Food would have been better with less pepper. We could barely taste the ingredients. Also our biscuit was hard as it was overcooked.

Maria F.

Yelp
This place was awesome! Best fried green tomatoes I've ever had! Would definitely recommend!

John W.

Yelp
We can in here for brunch today, ordered a meal, they are out of Orange Juice, out of apple Juice and the girl behind the counter was not very bright. Sad.

Joanne A.

Yelp
Interesting place, not excited about the food but I did like the ambiance. The best part was ordering--order at the counter and they bring your food to the table AND they call out not your name but the person that you would love to eat with. I heard Hillary Clinton, George Clooney and even George Washington! I ordered the retro and the hash browns tasted like they were sitting there for hours, biscuit was just okay. Maybe lunch is better?

Yelp
A very unique breakfast stop... On our last morning out the door from St. Augustine, we decided to get up early and get to Maple Street for some well-deserved breakfast - what a great choice. After parking as close as we could to this place (we still had to hoof it quite a bit) we arrived shortly after they opened and had the place to ourselves for quite some time. Once you arrive you place your order at the counter, give them the answer to the "Question of the day", and go sit and wait. Today's question was "What's your dream job?" When your order is ready, they call out the answer you gave them. It was entertaining to hear them call out what we told them - very much so. As for the food, it was very unique indeed - a fusion of American with a twist that was not only presented very aesthetically, but it tasted delicious as well. Coffee and drinks are self-serve - so you can drink yourself blind or bladder-full of coffee if you wish. This is definitely a 'must-try' if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great breakfast restaurant in the heart of downtown Saint A. Service was very friendly with unique offerings to eat. A little slow getting the food out, but well worth the wait. Love how they bring the food out, and to hear who everyone picks as their "famous person". Going to have to try this one in Tampa now too.

Yelp
Located in the heart of the Old Town Historic District in St Augustine you will find this brunch spot very packed with people making tons of line outside their establishment. Simple establishment. First come first serve basis on dining. My group and I were lucky to find seating. Pretty easy, make the line, check the menu & order. Before paying they ask you your favorite movie/tv show character and once your order is ready they will call by that favorite of yours! Haha love it! I should've given them a very Spanish or Chinese one just to see on their pronunciation We ordered many items: * The Iron Goat somewhat healthy until you get a big bite on the goat cheese. Simple no sauce so if you don't like those ingredients do not order! Different but in a good way! * The Cowboy The country fried steak was very flavorful and crunchy after all the gravy topped in. The Shiitake gravy was so delicious! I will 110% prefer this gravy over the regular gravy we get for a regular Thanksgiving. WOW! Will definitely order it every single time! Loved everything about this biscuit! * Potatoes O'Ryan Bowl loved their potato seasoning and very very soft potatoes Eggs were perfectly cooked! * Five & Dime as delicious as the Cowboy but instead of steak a fried chicken. * Sweet Grace with Strawberries wasn't impressed to say the least. Highly Recommended!

Yelp
Such a yummy place to grab a quick high quality breakfast- we were so hungry I forgot to take photos but we ordered 2 Mocha Maple Lattes, a chicken and waffle, & The retro plate. We ate it all up! The smashbrowns were SO good! My boyfriend loved the chicken and waffle! The service was quick and staff were very friendly. We sat in the outside area as it was a beautiful morning . We definitely recommend

Chris S.

Yelp
Sooooo slow over 45mins to get scrambled eggs and bacon! Please someone make it make sense. The coffee is dog water

Ash W.

Yelp
Our first time here, we've heard really great things over the years. We walked in and were greeted with, hi, what can I get you? We told her it's our first time here, she gave us some menus, told us to sit down and come back when we're ready. The place is packed, that's a good sign. We found a couple of chairs and went back to order. We both got what seemed like pretty basic items. Eggs, biscuit, bacon, potato hash. My wife's mocha latte was good, my peach tea lemonade was good as well. Well, we waited for 45 minutes, if not a little longer. That's when our food finally came out. It was not the wait. First off, everything looked okay. The plates were nice and hot, but the food was lukewarm, if not on the colder side. The biscuit tasted... not fresh, the bacon was cold and, in my opinion, not cooked enough. The potato hash wasn't bad. The smash browns were cold. Overall it was clean, the tables weren't bussed very much, not helping the seating situation. The quality of the food was definitely not worth the negatives. In my opinion, you can find breakfast or brunch at many other places for a comparable price and probably executed better.

Sarah B.

Yelp
Their patio is dog friendly, so we brought our two dogs to enjoy the patio. They have a large covered out door patio. You go inside to place your order and then someone brings your food out to you. The food was good. We also got the cinnamon iced biscuits (not pictured) which were good, but could have definitely used 50% more icing.

Shirley M S.

Yelp
The food was supposed to be for dining in yet came out in a cardboard box not looking very appetizing. The biscuit was quite good and jam delicious. Pretty pricey for what you get though. No customer service here and just rather spend money next time on a local place instead of a chain.

Lowella G.

Yelp
What a great place to get a hearty breakfast! Was in St Augustine for my birthday weekend and wanted to check this place out before we finished the rest of our touristy exploration. We actually had this place bookmarked but we kept missing them. When we finally found them, they were already closed for the day. We strolled by around 3pm. I wished they were opened all day. Our last day in St Augustine, we came in about noon and luckily for us, there was no line at all. I'm sorry but I can't remember the names of the meals we ordered but I will say this... the biscuits are ah-mazing!!! With the fried chicken and the goat cheese. And the other with a fried egg and gravy. Mmm mmm delish!! Come here on an empty stomach and loose pants. You'll definitely get full. And my tastebuds were satisfied. I'd come here again when I'm in St Augustine

Sherrill F.

Yelp
Went early on a Tuesday morning, sat out on the front porch and had a fabulous breakfast. The woman who took my order was very helpful. Beautiful spot in the city and the coffee was good as well.

Raven H.

Yelp
Sooo good!! I am a vegetarian so to have the shiitake gravy and biscuits I was in heaven! My man had the biscuits and gravy with chicken.. he said it was some of the best biscuits and gravy he's ever had! The staff was awesome! Definitely will return when we visit the area again.. maybe add some more vegetarian options :) and Uumm sorry for the half eaten food pic.. it looked sooo good we just dove in and forgot about b4 and after food pics haha!!

Nia G.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. While we waited quite a long time for our food, they were short staffed, apologetic and sent some fresh cinnamon roll biscuits to our table for the inconvenience. I wouldn't order the keto bowl (not shown in pics) again because it's not cooked- more cold on top of warm eggs so not a huge fan , but still tasted fresh .

Terry K.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast. Great place for a group. Fast service. Would have given them five stars if the waffles didn't arrive cold.

Yelp
It is a chain, but so good. We look forward to visiting every time we are in the area. The biscuits are tasty and creative.

Michelle I.

Yelp
Great flavor and options, definitely worth the wait. Long line? Order online! Loved the cinnamon biscuits

Chelsea C.

Yelp
You need to get the squawking goat! The goat cheese and pepper jelly on their fried chicken is amazing ! This location had a cute patio for outdoor seating and plenty of seating inside. We went on a Friday morning with a group of 9 and were able to find a table pretty quickly. The manager came out and talked to our group and was extremely kind. Would love to come back and try some more!

Lacey H.

Yelp
Great breakfast/ brunch spot! Was very busy when we arrived. So be prepared for a little wait. Other than that the food real tasty. The chicken was crispy and had a little spice which I enjoyed.

Jeff S.

Yelp
I believe this place holds significant potential, though it's missing a few key elements. Firstly, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The biscuits are truly exceptional, as they should be, given that they're a highlight in their name. However, the complimentary coffee leaves much to be desired. It would be preferable for them to source a high-quality local roast and offer excellent coffee and cappuccinos even if it means charging for them. The eggs were an unusual aspect of our experience. They lacked flavor, with an excess of egg whites - a rather perplexing combination. On a positive note, the hash browns were superb, reminiscent of Latkes. Taking everything into account, despite the plethora of outstanding restaurants in St. Augustine, it's unlikely that we would return. Although, I am intrigued by the prospect of trying their fried chicken in the future.

Susan C.

Yelp
What a great place You have to stand in line which was okay Friendly staff Biscuits are great

Christine H.

Yelp
We wanted to know what the fuss over their biscuits was about! They did not disappoint and we went back the next day, just to have them again. We are normally not even into biscuits! The place is small enough to feel cozy, and service is friendly and quick. Recommended!

Andre S.

Yelp
Sucks that this place is a chain! It has mom and pop feels but with corporate logistics. The only drawback to this place was it took us 10 minutes to figure out how to order and seat ourselves. Also, we got there at 11 and there were a few items that were sold out and ingredients they no longer had. Now to the good part, the biscuits were good! Like really good! I'm not a biscuit guy, but my biscuit really hit the spot. My wife also enjoyed her biscuit as well, even though they ran out of tomato. 8/10 but this could just as well be the chicken place that's closed on Sundays with scratch made biscuits.

Carol Robert V.

Yelp
Fantastic food , coffee, food orange juice . This is a place i definitely will come back to eat in Saint Augustine . Loved it

Vaja M.

Yelp
Maple Street Biscuit Company is my new favorite breakfast spot in the world! Their food is phenomenal, tasty & cooked to perfection. The owner Michael is a kind Soul with a Heart of Gold \m/ Their staff is helpful & super sweet, especially Danielle who greeted us with a big smile. I can't wait to visit this GEM again when I'm back in Orlando ;)

Ashlyn K.

Yelp
Holy SMOKES!! This place is AMAZING. Thank goodness they have plans to open one locally, however, I'd be willing to fly back to St. Augustine for even just a whiff of what they are serving up. This may look like your ordinary biscuit, but let me tell you, this was the most flavorful, decadent, perfection-in-a-biscuit sandwich that I have EVER had. The egg was perfectly cooked, the bacon was crisped to perfection (but not too crispy), and you could just tell that the cheese was that fresh kind. As for the biscuit itself, it was like taking a little bite of heaven. It was just browned enough on the outside to give it a little bit of crunched, paired perfectly with the softest, flakiest, melt-in-your-mouth middle. Seriously, I have been dreaming of this place. The only downside, I would have to say, was the seating. This place is so amazing that they were of course full up at the time we visited. All I would suggest is some more outdoor seating, though for this particular location, I know that would be tough to accomplish. Regardless, for how well they make their food, I'd eat it on a street corner. Last, but not least, the service was so great. Every worker we came into contact with was just the friendliest and most hospitable people. At one point a man, who seemed like the owner, came out to check on us and had a good long chat! He was very personable and knowledgeable and assured us that a Virginia Beach location was in the works. Until we meet again... have a biscuit for me.

Clair F.

Yelp
Breakfast all day - where would you go wrong! Bloody Mary drink or mimosas - again how cork you go wrong.

L D.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The staff friendly and helpful with ordering to ensure we got what we wanted. All of our food was cooked perfectly and presentation was breathtaking. We took our order to go and containers made sure the food arrived home safe and sound. While waiting for food, we hung out in the dining area which was spotless and had a relaxed feeling. Definitely will be going back. Great job to the staff

Daphne M.

Yelp
The food did not disappoint! My sister and I first time in St. Augustine. Once entering in, you're welcomed with a warm hello. Everyone was great and accommodating.

Crystal Rae M.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing, very much comfort food. I had the Maple Sticky and my husband had biscuits and gravy. Both were delicious. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very casual and comfortable.

Adam V.

Yelp
This place is a shitshow. -One line. -Tables full of people waiting for their food. Impossible to get a table. -Taking and cooking mobile orders while people are waiting for food. -Slow as molasses cooking the food and getting it out of the kitchen. -People sitting long after their food is done. -When you order they ask you a question and that answer will be what 100 other people say. So if you're "favorite holiday treat" is "eggnog", you wont get your food if you dont raise your hand fast enough and someone else who likes eggnog will get your order - which is likely the same thing. They do not say "order for (your name) -We waited well over 45 minutes for our to go order because there was never going to be anywhere to eat their food (this food is not meant to eat on a bench) and my super simple sausage egg and cheese biscuit (that i waited 45 minutes for) was cold. COLD. Fuck this place. God damn shit show. Absolutely not worth waiting for. There are no doubt better options in the middle of St.Augustine. Whoever works there and responds to reviews, don't respond to me. Im never going back. Put that energy in to a different task there.

Janette B.

Yelp
Delicious food! The chicken and waffles and Sweet Grace were tasty. The biscuits and the smash browns were fantastic!! I really enjoyed the keto breakfast bowl. Great service. We will definitely be back here again!!

Patty W.

Yelp
Holy biscuits! We made a stop in for breakfast before doing another day of sightseeing around the city. It was a bit of a wait and we were able to get seated at a table inside once we ordered. The staff was definitely on their toes the whole time we were there, so we knew it was going to be good. The Five and dime biscuit sandwich had fried chicken breast topped with sausage gravy and pecanwood bacon, My husband didn't want the egg on it, so we opted it off. I am not a fan of fried chicken breast, but when I took a bite out of the sandwich, it blew me away and it was phenomenal. The maple flavor added the magic touch and I was really in awe with how good it tasted. The chocolate chip and sweet custard biscuit bread pudding topped with caramel and whipped cream was out of this world as well. My son loved it so much! A different thing they did there was they ask what your favorite cartoon character is while you place your order because that's what they'll call when it's ready. It's not the usual name announcement, so I thought it was a fun way to get the orders out. The hospitality didn't go unnoticed there and it was a shame we had to leave.

Bruce B.

Yelp
Biscuits were pretty bland and too dry. I was hoping to have a good southern style biscuit sandwich but this was a disappointment.

Richard M.

Yelp
I don't normally like to go to chains, especially on vacation. But this place had so many great reviews I had to walk over and try it. The cowboy biscuit was a ton of food. I ordered, grabbed a mug of coffee and sat outside. They brought my fresh cooked meal and it was excellent.

Bridget B.

Yelp
Just go! Of the hook delicious biscuits. Peppery and perfectly creamy sausage gravy. Fresh squeezed orange juice and friendly Service #Eatlocal #discoverflorida #floridafoodie #aperfectday

Gabriel R.

Yelp
Amazing spot for a late breakfast.. the food is amazing and the reviews don't lie! The coffee is better than SBUX by a mile!! Try the maple coffee and the freshly squeezed OJ.. The service is outstanding from beginning to end of your meal. Make it a point to visit this restaurant when in town, you will not be disappointed.

Kelly T.

Yelp
This is mainly a breakfast restaurant with almost everything focused on biscuits. They have various biscuit sandwiches, as well as biscuits and gravy. Everything we had was very tasty. Service is also fast.
