What a beautiful place to spend a week. The location is fantastic-- sandy beach, swimmable waters. It is an incredible place to get away and just relax. The resort has a wonderful pool as well, and a bar that is open so you can enjoy cocktails while you are soaking in the sun. The food and service is incredible -- we looked forward to every meal. The kitchen staff is also incredibly accomodating for different dietary needs. I wish they had a cookbook and offered recipes for many meals and sauces! And the rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The view is breathtaking. We had a hard time leaving and look forward to returning.

This place is a gem - being there filled my heart. If it were a purely commercial place, the quality of service all round is already impeccable. Beyond that, the history and philosophy of this place is heartwarming and inspiring. Try attending Dr. Laura's talk about the story of the place, which is all about serving the community, taking care of people's needs, and living well together. I hope more places in the hospitality industry follow the exceptional example set by Mar De Jade. Even if you find a place slightly cheaper than this, you should consider staying here, knowing that your money is serving a larger cause for the betterment of the community.

My week at Mar de Jade was amazing! The food was wonderful and included vegan and gluten free choices. The room was charming and clean and the staff were friendly, warm, and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and there were open air and outside spaces to enjoy. The kind of place that feeds your soul.

Mar De Jada is a precious gem. My husband and I spent a glorious week. The location is perfect. Our room was spectacular with a large balcony with an ocean view. We loved the food plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and fish rice and beans and always a yummy desert. The shampoo conditioner soaps and lotions are great. Just steps from the ocean. I was able to use a magnificent ocean facing studio for my personal yoga practice every evening. There is a gentle yoga class offered every morning at 7:30 am. It is well worth getting up to go. Polly and Elise are lovely.

Mar De Jade is a scared place for our family and the highest of vacations possible. The food is healthy, fresh, and delicious. The property is gorgeous and from all areas you can hear the beautiful ocean. The staff are wonderful and only want to accommodate you. There are free yoga classes daily and this place attracts lovely people to join. If you are looking for a healthy, relaxing, all inclusive that is not centered around alcohol and partying, this is your place. It’s full of magic.

We hosted our 1st yoga retreat at Mar de Jade and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, varied and healthy. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the mattresses were top notch. Practicing yoga as we looked out over the ocean was a gift. Our excursions were fun and informative. And Dr. Laura, the owner, is a force of nature. We are all lucky to have her in this world.

I have been going to Mar de Jade for a January camp for 30 years. I love the rooms, the grounds, the staff, the meals (which keep getting better), the meeting rooms, the ocean, the whales, the birds, all of it. Every year Laura makes everything new again. It is a perfect place for spiritual study and awakening! God willing, I’ll be back again!

Mar de Jade is that retreat you dream of. A warm embrace of welcome that allows your worries melt away as you breathe in the sea air and take in the spectacular view. The food is fresh, organic (from their own farm) and so good you’ll struggle to limit your intake. But most of all is the kindness of the staff and the overarching mission of Dr Laura and her amazing team. Namaste
